Is it me or does anyone else notice that at the .42 mark all the way through the 1.00 mark, that the four senior royals appear to be visibly irritated with the prolonged waiting? Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but The Queen looked as if she was in a moment of silent frustration; her husband couldn't sit still; the Crown Prince made a comment to his wife and looked into the heavens with exasperation while she, mindful of the cameras, simply nodded and smiled as though nothing was amiss.

It was a second wedding for Prince Joachim, and the first for Marie. Joachim was married to Alexandra Manley from 1995 to 2004, they had two boys together, Nicolai and Felix, the ones the Prince kissed on the video.

Marie and Joachim have not (yet...) children together.

No, Prince Joachim is the second son of Queen Margrethe. He didn't lost his rights because of divorce, nor did his kids.

Why did they divorce? No one really knows..but his ex-wife Alexandra got married again in 2007.

The heir is Joachim's older brother Prince Frederik, married to Tasmanian-born Mary Donaldson, they have 2 kids: one boy Christian and one girl Isabella...

Marie was stunning on her wedding day! Absolutely beautiful, and her dress was lovely, too: very classy, yet modern and sexy. Joachim crying when he saw his bride...priceless.

Btw, where were Marie's bridesmaids to help her with her veil? It almost got blown away and Marie had to deal with it all by herself! It was probably why she looked a little annoyed when she was outside the church LOL.

Marie was supposed to have one of her young French nieces for bridesmaid, but the girl fell sick the day before the wedding, and could not be present. So she only had one bridesmaid left, Agnete Windfeldt Arnø, the one you can see helping with the veil and train!

Well, opinions do vary.

IMO Marys a prettier woman than Marie,(though both are quite attractive) but, Marie was more beautiful on her wedding day than Mary on hers.

Mary looked like a milkmaid her wedding--mostly due to the veil'; the dress wasn't great either. Not ugly, but so SO plain, no interesting bits to it,it didn't seem to fit her that well at the top. I expected so much more, rather disappointed when I watched M&F's wedding.

Like I said, opinions vary.

Your so right. Princess Mary's wedding dress was very plain. I like Princess Marie's dress because it was elegant and tasteful but not too much. Princess Mary's dress was just one piece of flowing fabric.

I wonder if Princess Marie will get a tiara because the one she wore on her wedding day was a loan from the Queen. I don't think she is going to wear the one worn by Alexandra. Princess Mary got a cheap looking tiara from Prince Frederick, its very empty looking. Hope she gets a good one.

I think the reason Mary got such a dinky little "regular" tiara, is because she got Queen Ingrids ruby prarue set--which far out weighs Marie's. the only problem with the rubies is that they are only appropriate for state functions and equally formal settings. If memory serves, I think Mary's tiara isn't even from an original DRF collection, but acquired from outside before the wedding??? I could be gravely mistaken, though; no offense intended, just saying......

Ummm.....yep, those are the ones.. they were Queen Ingrids, and I believe they have a Russian link?? Beautiful set of jewels but very very ornate. I would think they would be difficult to pull off in a daytime event or anything less than " extreme Gala".

Because they are just so....regal.....I feel that is why Mary's "regular" tiara is so not overly impressive.

You're right, to each his own opinion, but I liked Mary's dress. I wouldn't have chosen that exact dress, had it been me, but I would've chosen something similar, probably .I like simplicity. Instead of "plain", I saw it as elegant simplicity. I thought that her veil and hairstyle was perfect for the tiara, the dress, her position as a royal princess--everything. I thought she looked like a 16th century princess, which some may not like....to be continued

...continued.... I think Marie's outfithair veil and all are nice, but have seen in before in many bridal magazines. I personally think looking at it and not knowing who she was it wouldn't scream out "royal princess" to me but I felt that Mary's outfit did. There was something that was "different" about hers.

But of course, we all have our own opinions, and respect others' who disagree.

i think Mary's looked so "royal" because of the long train (at least partly) - i mean, she was competing with Princess Diana on that train length!

Well,it is the church belonging to Prince Joachims estate. It was build 800 years ago and was not intented for royal weddings, so I am very sorry if you think it is too small. I think it was a very beautiful wedding.

Well, just in comparison to other royal weddings, it is really down scale in everything. It was a beautiful wedding but nothing splendid. You can see the guests look very cramp in the tight isles.
