I simply can't play with a metronome.

Just impossible for me. Then again my IQ is low to begin with.

@MrPyroguru I preformed way above average in both high school and university its not about IQ its about making it a habit I had the same problem make sure you start slow then again I started playing piano at first

Does that make sense or no? I can't do it. I'll never be a great guitarist.

@MrPyroguru Don't ever ever say that I was thinking the same thing when I started I thought I'd never be good at music I taught myself piano and guitar although that's a long time ago your just like me your over thinking it go with natural rhythm its about feeling you shouldn't really be thinking look at B.B. King play he's not thinking about anything he's replying on feeling he's not thinking about what chord next etc. put the metronome on 60
