No i figured out the parts by ear.

It's quite a good practice exercise (albeit tedious at times), you learn alot about how songs, sounds and scales work etc.

My setup is actually a firewire sound card (which i also use when recording/writing songs), plugged into my laptop and i use a guitar amp simulator which comes with apples Logic Studio.

I'm at uni most of the time so it saves alot of space in my flat not having an amp around, although back at home i have Vox Valvatronix which i love.

Alot of foals' songs have pretty clean guitar sounds with a little bit of reverb for atmosphere.
