I'd bet the person making uncharitable comments is elderly. Clearly you have forgotten what it's like to have children. LIve and let live. stop being Mr shouty pants and lighten up . ( you'd have something to say if that was your grand children.)
2. When our children were babies We did NOT take them into restaurants, cinema's, aircraft, supermarkets, buses or trains, libraries etc., When we did take take them to enclosed public places....we took them out when they cried or screamed.
3. They did not suffer for this lack of 'rights'.
4. They both grew up to be normal.
Our reason for not allowing them to scream in public is that we were NOT selfish and arrogantly thinking ONLY of us.
I personally don't think that infants should fly until they are at an age where they know where they are and what's happening. If not then the ( some ) parents get embarrassed , the passengers who have paid big money for a relaxing holiday get p*ssed off and the child itself gets stressed.
Some parents believe that because THEY are bringing a family up, everyone should join in.( At the very least tolerate their screaming babies and their vandalistic offspring when they get older).
I'm not being a Victor Meldrew but I can't help but notice that feral youths of today are very similar to their parents.
Society has broken down ....and that is sad, but these same parents think its the Governments fault!
Thick? forcing my child to suffer? NO HE HAD A VIRUS! I guess you would have just assumed he was in pain with his ears what I am actually saying is... if it's not your baby then you have no idea why a baby is crying!
You're dragging this unbelievably boring conversation to the Nth degree.
You are SO typical of pond life mothers. I would hazard a guess that you are covered in tattoos and smoke. Typically,if you can't get your way...MOAN and MOAN, SHOUT and SHOUT until you either get your way or, the other person get bored and falls asleep!
Well I'm bored! You've proven what you are and I am falling asleep!
@MrPPKWalther I'm dragging it out but your replying with lots of accusations and assumptions as to who or more what I am, well I'm actually a 33 year old HAPPILY MARRIED Mother working AND training in Midwifery No tattoos and certainly a not a smoker. asshole!
I agree...you ARE dragging out this senseless coversation ( you've probably been drinking again) and are just bored. My assumptions have been based on how you reply and I'm not far off the mark. Can you actually prove you are happily married?. Can you prove you have no tattoos?. Can you prove you are a non smoker?.
I can prove (by all your replies) that you are an attention seeker who know no bounds when trying to convince people out there that you are normal.
Do you not think a Mother trying to console an upset child onboard an aircraft carrying 300 passengers would feel bad enough? without some Twat in the background huffing and puffing! If I was the mother I'd tell you f**k right off! Children and babies cry! get over it! It's not pleasant sitting and listening to screaming child for hours on end but as a mother of 5 I guarantee the mother felt a million times worse than you did! maybe you should be sedatated before your next trip!?
First of all...I did NOT "huff and puff" in the background!.
Secondly, the thick mother to which you refer took a young baby on a flight which uses cabin pressurisation, which in turn causes pain in the eardrums of young infants (this is a WELL known fact!). Also, she was NOT interested in the comfort of other passengers (or her child) as she was drinking, laughing and giggling with her slapper friends all through the flight.
@MrPPKWalther yes they know who their Dad is (again something only an asshole would say) not that I'm answerable to you but it happens to be my husband who I met when I was 15 and married when I was 20, what's there to moan about now I have 5 children so that must mean I put it about? and for goodness sake YES WE BOTH WORK! Before you start about your taxes paying for us! Get a grip!
Apparently, I am a... "Twat" and would have been told to "f**k right off!" for supposedly ..."huffing and puffing".
You seem to be a similar and kindred spirit to the original 'mother'.
You are blantantly biased. You (and her) selfishly think that, because YOU are used to YOUR screaming brats then everyone else HAS to tolerate the screaming while trapped in a CONFINED place where the innocent passengers could not get away.
@MrPPKWalther I was on a flight for 12 hours 8 of my baby was starting to burn up and he got very restless and cried very loud, embarrassed wouldn't come close to how I felt all the while I was apologising, trying to settle my poorly baby not brat who was fine flying there n again before our flight home a man behind us thought he should do everything in his power to make it worse huff n puff moan n groan n disturb him when he settled jerking his knees into the seat, you seem to be just like him
1st of all....I did NOT 'huff and puff'. I said NOTHING during the whole flight. Others huffed and puffed!
2nd...........You seem to be just like the other 'mother'. You both seem to think its ok to bring young babies onto flights (where everyone is trapped) while your child is screaming its head off trying to get away from the pain it is sufferering because YOU stupidly did'nt know about air pressure!!
Other passengers are ENTITLED to fly in peace and not be tortured.
@MrPPKWalther ANYONE can suffer from air pressure and my child wasn't one of those he had been fine on other flights and on the way there just got a temperature from a VIRUS he started with on the way home! so that's pee on your theory! babies are also entitled to fly (crying or not!) without people making ridiculous remarks about them needing to be sedated like I said in one my previous comments maybe YOU need sedation as you are the one that's so highly strung!
Anyone CAN suffer from air presssure but it is PARTICULARLY painful for a young baby.
"Your Baby's Ears." ( an extract taken from Jay L. Hoecker MD's book on 'Infant Health').
..."Changing cabin pressure during a flight causes temporary changes in middle ear pressure, which can trigger ear pain, particularly in young babies"....."
I did'nt mention sedation...you did! So thats pee on your opinion. Also, I have don't have a "theory"...I just mentioned the FACTS which it seems someone else has had to do as well.
In short, (like smokers) you're just another selfish and thick mother forcing a young baby to suffer for YOUR benefit ...and sod everyone else!
Just back from Cyprus and there was only one baby onboard!!!!!!!!!!!no prizes for guessing who they sat beside, Although in all fairness this time the bawling only lasted about 20 minutes> My location is from the very north of Scotland
Been there done that, we had a gormless mother who wouldn't let the kid go to sleep for the WHOLE journey home plus the wee bugxxr nearly kicked out one of my kidneys. family's with juniors should all be at one end of the plane as one group. All airlines are guilty of the same crime.
I'd bet the person making uncharitable comments is elderly. Clearly you have forgotten what it's like to have children. LIve and let live. stop being Mr shouty pants and lighten up . ( you'd have something to say if that was your grand children.)

@001HIGHLANDER
Personally, I think they should be sedated before take off.
The other solution would be to ban them from normal flights and make them take special flights just for screaming bratsand their parents.
On an aside.....which part of Gods country are you from?
