Look into the Sony ECM-DS70P. It's a mini stereo condenser mic. There is a pic on Amazon of that mic being used with this very camera. However, beware of the cheap, fake versions of the mic floating around on Ebay that are being song from Hong Kong.

All of the footage I've seen from the Zi8's look jittery. Even over the chroma, it looks like he's jittering. It hurts my eyes after a little while.

@BlackJavaBean Hi. Yes, it is very jittery. Mine seems to only be of any use when on a tripod. The image stabilization seems to make things look even worse.

Actually I have the Zi6 and if the editing program for the Zi8 is anything like the Zi6 then I donno if I want it. I use a PC and I cant stand the editing software the Zi6 came with. So what can I get as a free download? Windows Movie Maker wont work with the video this cam takes...

nope, there is a lot of white color in your face and other objects, so you won't be able to get it right,

Not really because there's probably white on the main subject. You might be able to get away with a decent luma key depending on how you do it.

Best thing is to use a chroma key and make sure you light it properly! Blue or green is best, although I have also used purple with decent results. It depends on the colours on the main subject.

the reason they recommend blue and green backgrounds is because these are the colors you are least likely to find on your body. if for example you use a red background, spots on your face will "disappear" since chroma key removes all shades of the color, and you might always have red spots on your face. im not a pro or anything, but i hope this helped

no when you use chroma key it edits out that color so any white you are wearing, or if light reflects off of your skin, that will be edited out too.

i know that the flexible usb on the camera is small but you can get an extension chord for it to make the usb chord longer so thats not a big problem

sdhc up to 16 hrs in WVGS and 4 hrs 28 minutes in HD 32 gb

50 minutes avr give or take a few minutes before exhausted constant recording.

3 meg , Interpolated Software enhanced to 5 meg still 16:9 ratio

Smaller the sdhc card faster the boot time 16 gb will boot 8 secs, 4 gig 2.4 sec.

Otherwise the review  was great 5 stars.
