Morrowind Playthrough Part 2: Fargoth Quest

Too me skyrim seems to have a great story line... but it seems incomplete. The slay Alduin storyline was quite short, and the storyline where you help the empire or stormcloaks seemed to have unresolved issues. Everyone hates the thalmor, and yet at the end of the game their still there being dicks.

I'm sure many people will agree with me when I say that I think the next dlc will feature the thalmor in a major way.

@TheMagnificentZianix Immersion; no map-based fast travel, no quest markers, much more quests/factions and enemies don't level up with you. I'd like to replay Morrowind and outdated graphics I can take, but the animations and especially the combat system are an instant turn-off for a modern gamer.

@GrL254 It's the best game as far as Elder Scrolls go due to the immersion. Like I said, I can't look at the animations any more without cringing and the combat system brings me to tears.

@fxc2 i mean yeah when you look at oblivion and skyrim the animations are extremely different. You have a valid point. But at the same time, when it first came out, it was extraordinary to alot of people and if you can get that mind set back and just appreciate the classics then the graphics and other mechanics arent that big of a deal.

I think my main fear with Skyrim right now is thinking it might turn out to be like Oblivion...all graphics with a story that is not even worth a persons time...

@PoisonViolet fan boy much....... seriously be quite you probably only played morrowind youve probably never played arena or daggerfall and probably havent even played oblivion beyond the sewers. and secondly if oblivion was all graphics there wouldn't be people still playing it now. cuz incase you havent noticed there are alot of freakin people still playing oblivion and the graphics are now considered to be out dated. so theory is wrong... if ur gona reply do so civilized or shut up.

Also I have played both Daggerfall and Arena, I remember when Daggerfall came out even and had the floppy disks for Arena in the original box for years. Also as far as Oblivion goes i went to the end of the game although i had more fun just running around not doing the quests and doing my own thing. Oh and fanboy? I don't jump into games head first untill they have a review, Skyrim looks nice but who knows.

@PoisonViolet well finally someone whos also played the other elder scrolls games what im saying is that theres so many morrowind fan boys out there that believe that oblivion is a complete failure, i dont think so and i also beleive many others dont beleive so. Oblivion was great. but to say that oblivionis only great because of graphics is wrong. I had no problem with the story behind oblivion..yes it could have been better but i think the story came across none the less

@Nomzz601 Well i agree that my first post was a bit harsh on the story. My opinion on it is about what you said, i didnt feel anything directly against it but i just felt it could of been better. I never tried to beat the game again after the first time but still enjoy playing with the game. Also i definatly dont think it was a complete failure, as you already pointed out it was and still is highly popular. What i said stands as a opinion realy and no attempt to insult or change others opinions.

@zupergozer the elder scrolls V: skyrim will come out on 11.11.11, but morrowind is worse than oblivion, you cant fast travel in morrowind and the animation is bad

@jakascott21 I would actually consider Morrowind twice as good as Oblivion. I mean the animation is not very good, but it's a massive game that is 9 years old so it isn't unexpected. But there is fast traveling in a way but you pay for it to go to certain cities and towns, it's not a game for someone with A.D.D. because there is a lot of walking in it. But this game has more rpg elements then Oblivion by far

@InVayned This isn't actually part of the Main Quest. This is just a simple quest right at the beginning of the game that gets you some gold

In this part it may be a good idea NOT to return the gold to the Quest giver, Instead of Completeing and earning 100g, you keep the gold for yourself and earn 300.

gixG17 have also made a very good lets play video series recorded in HD that I'm watching now. He play as a mage. It fun because he havn't really played Morrowind that's much before, soo it might be interresting if you havn't played MW before or are unsure if it's something for you.
