They both represent the NBA well, but I prefer Live. 2K, in all their sports games from 2009 on, have players that move in a very robotic way sometimes and their faces aren't accurate to real life.

i have stopped playin LIVE since the super nintendo days back in the 90's. last LIVE i played was 97, eversince 2k3 came out it was a wrap. far better gameplay, graphics about the same but very much more realistic and u know this if u play bball urself. i havent touched video games since 04-05 and i cant imagine that 2k has fallen of since it was so advanced compared to LIVE in 2003.

like most EA sports video games, live 10 has problems with motion. Much like madden and ncaa football the game seems to have beem very poorly animated i will stop buying this game unless they take a big step in the right direction. NBA elite is coming closer then they have in the past, but it is still nowhere near the level 2k is on.

2k is graphical in terms of court, crowd, fans and commentating. Also the animation before the game begins.2k suck when it comes to player movement;the ball looks like it is sucked off the ground and not bounced by player.

Nba live is great in gameplay, the players look better,you can see the effort when players bounce the ball and the way the players carry the ball to basket is very realistics.

Nba live sucks when it come to the court apperance graphics and in commentating.

honestly EA needs to stop what there doing with the basketball franchise's and scrap it. start completely over. first thing they need to deal with is their horrible graphics. 2nd thing they should adress is adding tons of new animation for more fluid gameplay. and then worry about commentators. 2k is way better. 2k should get a special coontract wit the nba saying they are the only company that can make NBA video games. just like EA did with madden.

I think 2K10 looks better. I pet peeve I have with basketball games (and maybe its just me) but I cant stand the way the players seem like their skating on ice when the move around. It was a much bigger problem with the older game systems and it seems less of a problem here but I still see it slightly more in the NBA Live game.

One of the reasons i think 2K10 blows Live away is the commentators! 2K10's commentators are so fluent gets you excited in games! Live's commentators are so animated it's not even funny. You can tell when they have to put several voice animations together to form a sentence. And 2K10 commentators update current stats too. Not to mention 2k's graphics and gameplay!

Listen carefully at EA's commentators and you'll hear that since 2006 they didn't add any or didn't improve their commentators phrase bank. 2K does the improvement yearly which makes it more exciting. Plus when you create players with unphrasable names they can still make a way out of it to appear. I wish at 2K11 there more improvements to come.

If you want a realistic basketball game with just a feel of, wow im playing an NBA game, you have to go with 2k basketball games, if you want to just play a basketball game and just become a beast and score shots you really can't do (trust me I do it in nba live 09 i score like 80 points) then you go with Live 10, either way if you forget all these details

Live 10 has a dunk option? In 2k10 the dunk just happens with the shot stick and actually running to the basketball, 2k10 has many many more realistic dribbling, dribbling move, shots, dunks, passes, steals and you can keep going on. Graphics are amazing in this game and the menu Live 10 menu can have some work, In live 10 I got a steal that i never thought i could get without a foul, Ive also traveled alot and never got called.

To me 2k10 is better than live 10, live 10 brought a better game than 09 but its definitely not like 2k10, 2k10 has the more realistic gameplay, in 10 there were things I never thought you could do and obviously you couldn't do in 2k10, 2k10 always had a real awesome My player mode that has you make you as your own player and go through the focus of trying to become an NBA player, all future nba players would love this mode. Live 10 has its glitches still and just its unrealistic plays.
