Great teaching, great song, as someone who's just returning to playing, I've been searching for songs to learn that I like, keep me busy, entertain me and keep me growing- this fits the bill 100%, thank you!
i'm really glad you are working this up and i hope you enjoy playing it! I agree a classic....thanks for your kind words and i wish you the best with your music - please let me know if i can help in any way,
Thx for the great lesson again Dale. MTB was on my faves list for many a year, esp this tune. You make it easy to learn. I've gleaned much from U...Speaking of Jerry Jeff W, I see his Collings CJ is up for sale on ebay. Good thing I'm happy w/ my SJ. Cheers!
hello sir! How are things......appreciate you giving this a look and thanks for your kind words. MTB has some great tunes for sure.....okay now i've got to at least look at Ebay!!! keep pickin,
Another great lesson! You have added another song to my (slowly) increasing arsenal. As usual - easy to follow, clear and concise. Now if you would only take a request or two :-)
Thanks Dale! Your lessons are always the best. You have easily doubled my repertoire. The song that I am trying to get dialed in right now and struggling with is Mr. Bojangles by Jerry Jeff Walker. Great solo acoustic song (the strumming version as JJW plays it, I have no hope with the Chet Atkins fingerpicking version) . I can get close, but know there are several subtleties that I cannot catch.
Just outstanding. Started playing guitar about a year and a half ago (at 48) and your tutorials are really some of the best out there, including paid tuts. Extremely well done, thank you.
Great lesson Dale. I've been out a while due to busting up my fingers on a saw, but I'll be back in a week or two and work this one out first. As always...Peace. Chris
Oh man! One of MTB's best. Was lucky to see the original line-up in the late 70's. Toy would pull out the pedal steel for this one. Must say you have great taste in music...thanks so much for this
that is a great thing to be able to say....see them 'in the day'. TC was a great player and just amazed me how he played so fast and accurate with his thumb. Thanks so much for your kind post - all the best!
Thanks Dale, nice lesson, brings back great memories of the 70s. I had this great tune and I think I got Fooled Around and Fell in Love Elvin Bishop about the same time, not sure I think it was about the same time, seems a long time ago now! but I think good music is timeless and transcends eras, trends etc
Great job, really appreciated.
