Hello LondonScalextric,
This race in SAFRAN museum is held every year around May.
Each team has to pay 100€ to participate but there are only 15 teams possible ! So around 5 or 6 teams are not accepted. The selection is made on inscription delay and by the organisation.
Since 3 years, there is an english team ; they were called New Tottenham and they had a new name last time : Finchley Manor SC. May be you can contact them and join them ?

How is it possible to run so many cars on the same lane? I thought I counted 7 or 8.

Hello,
The track is equiped with a Digital system developped by 2 french sloters and much better than Scalextric , Ninco or Carrera one.
The cars are equiped with a small electronic board between the guide and the motor.
It is a great step that makes races much more realistics.

It's a NINCO track but the crosses to switch from one lane to the other one are in wood and controled by the famous DAVIC system.

I have a Scalextric digital 4 lane track on a 12 foot by 8 foot platform in my basement. I have 12 lane change sections so any car can go from lane 1 to lane 4. I have 2 powerbases hooked up to Slotrak8 software which has a pit stop option so you have to pit to complete the race it awesome.
How many cars can race on that track at once?

The DAVIC system is able to control 15 cars + the pace car at the same time : amazing and perfect for club racing !
You can see the guy who developped this system at the end of the video (David).

Est ce que... bon en Anglais, plus facile,... will David make his system avaible on sale. I think he should, I'm sure there's a demand for it... i would consider buying something like that myself if I had the room.
