Лично я песни Арконы не просто слушаю, они меня заставляют задуматься, испытывать какие-то чувства, например чувства патриотизма и гордости за свою, пусть не идеальную, но родную страну! Долгих лет успешного творчества, Аркона!
Personally, I do not Arkona song just listening, they make me think, have some feelings, such feelings of patriotism and pride in, though not perfect, but his native country! Years of successful creativity, Arkona!
You can hear the influence of Eluvietie on the folk-instruments of this album. If you ask me, Arkona sold out in that regard. They sound too much like Eluvietie in some of the songs on this album. Albeit this is one of the better songs on this album, if you listen to the song Slovo you can almost mistake it for Eluvietie. As such, I won't be purchasing this new Eluvietie album named Slovo.
@Member3285 you apparently just listen to music for entertainment. if you cant feel the emotion and passion in this music...you are missing the core of music.
@embracedbyfrost Please if you disagree, do so without apparitions. I find "passion" of Arkona in Masha and Vladimir's work, not Chrigel and Anna's. While Eluveitie is a bit ominous, they are more joyful than Arkona. I have many albums of both bands, the sounds are distinct to me. Arkona is the only band that I've heard embrace Ruska Roma sounds. Now they follow the crowd of viking / celtic pagan metal? Sorry, I've enough of those sub-genre's already, despite Masha's revolutionary vocals.
@Member3285 You think this sounds that much like Eluveitie? Seriously? And you are using that as the sole reason not to purchase this album? Are you mentally ill?
I see absolutely no resemblance between Eluveitie and Arkona on any of the songs. Arkona still retains their ethno-folk influence within this album, but they've been able to better blend the heavy guitar work with the folk instruments. Just because the guitar riffs are more simplistic in some songs, such as this one, doesn't mean Eluveitie has influenced the music, despite them having worked with Arkona on the album.
@AngryIntellectual Sorry then, I am mistaken. I suppose the music just isn't what I expected based on the EP and Stenka na Stenku, but that doesn't make it bad music. The similarity seemed most evident with Slovo, and the choir in this track as well. Perhaps it is a genre-sound? Which does reinforce my certain ignorance on the matter. Thanks for correcting me everyone =)
@AngryIntellectual Yes, I already have a new album he is not familiar to the Arkona but still remains unique Any group has the right to search for new ideas in any case, the album is very good
Except Arkona is true ethno-folk Metal. Equilibrium is just orchestrated music with folk instruments. Plus, Arkona uses a keyboard to play their folk elements, but frequently use authentic instruments, like accordion, flutes, and the like. I'd say they're not even close to becoming a Russian Equilibrium.
I love the fact that this song makes a big jump toward integrating the faster blackened segments that used to be separated from the melodic folk segments. Here, Arkona's historical elements are present, but they now form one pure concept rather than the two distinct halves of that concept that existed in the past. Very cool.
Eh, I don't know. That sounds nice on an ideological level, but in practice, I liked the differentiation of folk vs. metal parts, like in "Na Moey Zemle." Of course, integration is fine with some songs, but I wouldn't want to see their entire musical style transition to this. It also troubled me that in the beginning, for an instant, Masha's growls began to sound suspiciously deathcore, like Whitechapel. Only for a moment, thankfully, but I'd hate to see that, too.
