  • @MotherNikita Pretentious pseudo-intellectuals are egotists. They project their dark sides on others. They spout convoluted nonsense at us and expect us to swallow it. Genuine intellectuals respect our ability to think for ourselves. Their arguments are based on facts.

Non-conformists don't play insecure control freak's games. Because they project their fear and insecurities on us, they believe we envy them. We don't. We think their games are stupid. Watts speaks for many of us.

  • That Black Friday part in this clip is ridiculous, smh woooow

  • Nice editing, very good.

  • Been eating potted meat in bulk, work at the processing plant, I steal it because it makes me feel better, up to 1.5lbs a sitting, when I eat with eggs in the morning, I get really bad gas, even the people at work notice, but think it's coming from the animals. I take alot of pride in that also. When people come over, and that is rare, I feel it necessary to had said stolen meat, I hope to get up to 3lbs a sitting before summer starts. The heat at the plant helps

  • This video was featured on the Facebook page

    "Keep Shopping. Everything is fine."

    Like it!

  • "Insecure societies, are the most intolerant of those who are non-joiners"

    Hehe, so fucking true,

  • Have you ever realized anti-conformists become conformists when they talk about conformity? I mean, for God's sake, the opinion I just gave now is one of conforming, of following a belief I heard somewhere else. Personally, I think this crusade of individuality is nothing more than a bunch of pretentious pseudo-intellectuals who think they're better than everyone else and have no reason to be with or care for humanity. A humanity that is so mean and cruel and stupid and icky.

  • @MotherNikita your wrong.....I'm not intellectual...but biologicaly, I am unfit to live in a 9 to 5 situation...I am normal and healthy, but my brain chemicals are made ina such a way where I can work one extra hour every day but I sleep one hour later....according to you....I should be killed, or am some part of a slow bison in an evolutionary belief system which is only partially rooted in fact....thank God that an pseudo-intellectual like you is just a slave like me.

  • @88bottlesoflove I'm confused, I don't really see what you're getting at. I want you killed because....Why? I think you're not working well in an evolutionary system that's only partly true? I want you dead? I'm a slave like you? What the fuck? Seriously, be a little more coherent because I really do not understand what I should be arguing right now.

  • Wow great video

  • There are so many subcultures today it's virtually impossible to not conform to one group or another. And what's wrong with conformity? What's wrong with a group of people sharing the same tastes, feelings, and opinions?

People who try too hard not to conform only let society control their actions even more and lead to wierd groups like goths and hipsters who are actually quite conformist.

  • @OlasDcrazy There's no problem finding people who share the same "tastes, feelings, and opinions" as you.. it becomes a problem when one lacks any true identity of themselves and becomes the identity of the specific conformism. Being non-conformist is just following however you feel and not being influenced by outside forces. So it's not "virtually impossible" because you will never find two of the same true non-conformist.

  • @OlasDcrazy Cool things get shit when more people like them! Ideas are precious. 'Creativity' is the new thing in Englands young society. Thats probably why we have such high unemployment. Lots of kids i've met want to be DJ's, promo girls, producers, promoters, but they all think they are individual. These businesses are run by people on drugs who suck disposable money out of young society and live for the weekend. People are having the same conversations all over the country. Its depressing!

  • good video

  • Ows loses!

  • nice video.

  • I quit my job as a nurse so I could write. I have no income. I'm living on my savings. Will I make it as a writer? I don't know.

  • @ZenBarracuda does it matter if you do or don't?

  • @liamanewton

It matters if you don't want to be homeless

  • @ZenBarracuda Congrats to you, you have joined true freedom. I did the same, I can't stand working as an organized slave. Being confined to a set Monday-Friday, your entire life becomes predictable. I can't stand having my life planned out in front of my face. I don't want to know what's going to happen tomorrow, I want it a mystery, to keep the excitement of life! Money is a controller, I wish all would take back control of their lives.

  • @macryan19 I'm a very long way from freedom, my friend. I just feel that I've made the right first step. Good luck on your chosen path. Here's a cute saying for you: There's only one thing in life you can be sure of - You're going to be surprised.

  • @ZenBarracuda no you won't make it

  • @SporadicHesitation Then I'll die trying.

  • @ZenBarracuda The is no try.

  • @ZenBarracuda You will.

  • @ZenBarracuda you will as a human being anyway, perhaps?)

  • @ZenBarracuda follow your dream may i give some advice to make money? Write for yahoo contributors to get name known , keep weekley blog , post on craigslist to write essays letters etc and find gigs on craigslist trust me there are millions and you can write from home there for have whole world of craigslist! Never give up keep writing. Like my advice I'm only a 20 year old college student never give up write that book, im working on one now!!! but trust me you can make money I have!

  • @swagforyou Thanks for the advice. It is appreciated. I'm stunned that so many people have given me a thumbs up; I'm very touched by that. My best friend suggested I write a blog, and I will check out craiglist. Best of luck with your book. All of my favourite writers received many rejection letters. Successful writers keep going. They write because they have to. If you have the determination you will succeed.

  • I doubt a majority of people think for themselves these days. It's all one control society. When I see so many young people these days it's rare to see one without a phone. The clone ranger syndrome.

  • @Agui007 What's wrong with phones? It's humanity reflection of being able to communicate to whoever they want wherever they are. It's using technology with wisdom.

You mean the detrimentive affect which they can used as.

  • @lewislaification Mobile phones are dangerous with their levels of radiation to young people as they effect the developing brain. The phone era is nothing more than one massive distraction. Yes they do have their uses, however their usage far outweighs their benefits. You've got to think who benefits more the user or the greedy profiting companies.

  • @Agui007 yeah that's bullshit there's literally no evidence for the radiation from mobile phone's causing brain damage

you're probably one of those people who hears the word 'radiation' and thinks it's instantly something harmful, but visible light is technically radiation.

  • Comment removed

  • @Iarehascheeseburger You are unwise to think that. Do your research. All matter has radiation of some kind. Do you understand how microwaves work? truehealthfactsdotcom/reasearch-news/CellPhonesEMR.html

  • @Agui007 Yeah, radiation is everywhere.

I understand how microwaves work. In a microwave oven they cause water molecules to vibrate at their natural frequency, which has the highest amplitude, and this vibration causes the food to heat up.

Microwaves from mobile phones are nowhere near strong enough to do this, and multiple studies have shown that mobile phones don't lead to an increased risk in cancer or any form of brain damage.

  • @Agui007 Also the only experiment to show any correlation between mobile phone radiation and brain damage in developing brains was conducted on mice with radiation much more intense than that produced by mobile phones. This is a pointless study seeing as there have been multiple studies on human subjects showing the exact opposite.

  • @Agui007 I agree with you in some respect, but I'm also only 18. What I do like to do, however, is go for a week or two without my phone, and during that time, all I do is write, run, and read. I love getting away from technology. In all honesty, when I'm out of college with my English-Writing degree, I want to live in a little shack -- a little shack in the middle of nowhere. I find I'm happier the further away I am from people.

  • @Agui007 To continue on a bit... I also don't have a Facebook, twitter, or any other social networking thing. I can identify a lot with what Alan Watts says about insecure societies, having being met with hostility when I simply wish to stay at home and write some nights.

  • @eatingfatty That's good though. Please don't think that my comment is aimed at every single person and I never act aggressively. I base my statement on a majority of people without hate or attack. Namaste friend.

  • @Agui007 Isn't it funny how an individualistic society's people are incredibly conformist? I took your first comment as somewhat resentful, but I'm happy we cleared that up. I know a poem that I think you'd like. It's called Touchscreen by Marshall 'Soulful' Jones, and there is a video of it on youtube.

  • Well put together my friend!

  • Be natural. Be yourself. thank you Alan Watts. YOU live Forever in our hearts!!!!!

  • Nice! Instant classic!

  • DOH--I was confounded; I was about to argue--"this doesn't sound like Watts AT ALL"...then I realized I had him confused with Alan Watt(No S).

    :)

  • :-) :-) :-)
