  • I have Pancreatitis but not as a result of drink but Gallstones through major weight loss of 11 and a half stone. That pain combined with inflamation of the gallbladder is the single most excruciating pain ever and you can't breathe walk or crawl because of it. Morphine is the only thing that can help, painkillers do fuck all. It's no laughing matter Pancreatitis and this young girl has done a marvelous video to show its effects. Listen to her words of wisdom. x

  • This is why god has forbidden alcohol and the other things that can harm our bodies because he the merciful only wants our good for his creatures. follow your scriptures whatever is it and dont listen to preachers aout blood and bread crap. alcohol and porc are deadly for your body its been proven again and again by extensive scientific research.

  • thank you for this vid,i have had severe pancreatitis which almost killed me ,in hospital i was treated like a dog as "its your own fault"thanks again..

  • I had chronic pancreatitis caused by sphincter of oddi dysfunction of my pancreas, I never drank, it must have been congenital.I had a TOTAL PANCREATECTOMY WITH AUTO ISLET TRANSPLANT to prevent brittle diabetes in Minnesota in 2002. They took my pancreas , spleen, appendix, gall bladder was already gone, part of my duodenum, and re contstructed my stomach and put my remaining islets in my liver. I do have diabetes, but so far it is not brittle. Let me know how you are, Amy

  • im 15 years old and i have heriditary pancreatitis. im in the hospital every 6 months usually and i think its the worst pain i will ever feel. i stay in the hospital for 8 days approx. and i cant eat, when they give me the pain medicine it gives me my appetite back and i cry the whole time im in the hospital, either from the pain or from hunger. luckily my doctors understand enough for me to tell them when im ready to start eating and they let me, gradually. i feel very strongly for u

  • your lucky.. my best friend passed away from this. It took a few years for them to find out she had it. and of course they got the results a week after she passed.

    hope ya get better!

  • I am currently in hospital recovering from pancreatitis caused through medications.

    It's been 8 days.

I can say that this is more painful than labour & kidney stones.Iv'e done then all.

  • A Dr. G Medical Examiner Show explained it once. In pancreatitis the pancreas is digesting itself. Unfortunately, for the dead young man who was rhe subject of the show, he had necrotising pancreatitis. This eroded a major blood vessel and he bleed to death.

  • trust me i know how you felt, i got out about a month ago with chronic pancreatitus, i was 6 month in hospital, and id say i had everything you had, morphine, CT scans, x-rays, ultrasounds, loads of drips, ive had about 3 ERCP's a big suregy of which they take out roughly half my pancreas, that part of the pancreas was basically dead, and all this happened to me at 14 years old, although, my case of pancreatitus, wasnt drinking related, they said they dont know what caused it, im still painful.

  • Well done and keep it up , in 2001 I chronic pancreatitis and had surgery , before and after the surgery was living hell but we are winners ....God bless you ..............Ginger.

  • I feel you, I just got out of the hospital a few days ago after coming down with acute pancreatitis. For me though it was a complication of my type 2 diabetes and also because my triglycerides being too high. I totally understand the pain as I never felt a... intense expanding pain in my abdomen before (it was my pancreas becoming inflamed). I was released after 4 days, and I can only hope I don't have to go through with this again. Best of luck to the both of us.

  • I am an alcoholic but you know what! Other people out there who cut on alkies are assholes!

  • I just buried my older brother on monday June 1st 2009 from liver cancer and I am pissed off at states allowed to sell liquor over the love of money! FUCK YOU!

  • Thank you for this post. You have a lot of courage.

  • Thanks so much for sharing your story. It looks like you went through a hell of a lot! I hope you are doing well and continue to do so.

    Take care :) xxx

  • I had pancreatitis but i got it from a genetic problem called a cationic trypsinogen gene

  • Hi there, my husband got pancreatitis as well (chronic). He never really drank. Only done drugs. He knows what your going through.

    Thanks for sharing your story!-

  • i have to add this coment about pancreatitus... i dont drink alcohol but still got cronic pancreatitus...and in the end i got diabetis from this condition. this pain is hard to explain...it is probly one of the worst pain's you can ever have... what im trying to say is....to all ppl out there that thinks that if you got somthing...you deserved it...well think again!! Get well soon :)

  • Ive got acute pancreatitis.I am a chronic alcoholic to cure my ptsd. I could drink up to 6 litres of hard wine a night and did it for years. Im constantly in hospital for Ultrasound and CT scans. My problem is that i cant stop drinking, but the pain in the guts is fucking phenomenal, im a fit bloke, and i couldnt walk and was teary. I mean i have to drink so hard to get to sleep then i wake up with the worst agony every morning, that takes me hours to clear through drinking. This was my fault.

  • Pancreatitis can turn into pancreatic cancer! Thats the bad thing!

  • well my dad has had pancreatitis for 6 years They said the same if he has 1 more beer or eny wine or beer in his food it could kill him and they also said that if he gets a cold or enythink it will set give him an infection in his pancreas

i dont know if this is the same that is happening to you but the doctors said my dads pancreas is eating itself. hes been rushed in hospital many times so i hope u get better soon

  • not to be mean but sometimes people get what they do to themselves....education is the smart way to go.

  • Oddly enough people drink to cure depression and ptsd, if you know nil of either please dont comment.

  • people also drink for fun. there's other ways to help depression, drinking shouldnt be an option unless you're in it for death.

  • I Wish all of you the best! God BLESS!

  • THe great people in this country suffer from others ignorance!

  • my heart and prayers are with you.

  • People with pancreatitis are not dumb! In my case, it is cocky administrators who are dumb and arrogant and who care for nobody but themselves!

  • Pancreatitis is a bend over pain!!!!! It is one of the most horrible gut wrenching pains I have ever experienced so please cut down on the alcohol!

And if you contracted this horrible entity in another way or form, may you heal quickly!

  • Pancreatitis is one of the worst pains I ever went through!

  • I got pankreatitis last June because of a medication my doctor gave me... I'm sorry you had to go through that... I know how you feel and what you felt.

  • I was born with chronic pancreatitis. I know how it feels I've had it for every second of my life and still don't understand how I could have been born with it.

  • I've had it for 10 years now. Alcohol related. Abouta year ago I started regularly taking 12 hr antacid tablets and since then I have had no symptoms. This may help others I hope.

  • I think you have to be commended for this video. Thank-you for sharing it and for the information.

I do believe the Human Body is capable of amazing things and I hope that your body can heal.

  • My ten year old got it back in March of this year and has been in pain ever since. The doctors claim that it was from a virus, but now there is eveidence that it is from the gardasil shots she had gotten. We know your pain and feel so bad for you! I hope you feel better at least some of the time. Thank you for putting your story out there. We all app. it!

  • ive had this disease for about 4 or 5 years i am 14 years old. Nobody understands how much pain pancreaititis is until they have it. I have had lipase as high as about 19000 haha believe it. But i hope you are doing better 8)

  • I was born with this disease. I'm always underweight no matter how much food I eat. My family has been arrested for starving me even though they weren't. I have nasty scars, reoccuring pain, high risk for diabetes, and I miss out on nearly everything good and bad in life.

  • ive had pancreatitis about 7 times in the past 5 years. i discovered it when i was only 12 years old and never drank alcohol in my life. im now almost 17 but i also have cystic fibrosis and doctors think that was a major part of it. pancreatitis is def one of the worse pains ever.

  • my wife has Hereditary pancreatitis and she never drinks, I know the pain and we're in the er at least 3 times a day. It's so hard to see my wife in pain and yet nothing can be done

  • I also have pancreatitis and it is soooo painful! There is hope... look into Chelation.

    Love, S

  • worse pain ever!!! i have it and they told me that when i had it when i was 21!!! it sucks so bad

  • my mom has it and you have so much courage in you. stay strong

  • i personally have had at least 10 attacks in the past three years - granted i have it genetically;; and ive never drank a sip of alcohol in my life i know that the pain is hell. the first time i was admitted i had only 700lipase and 300amylase, but this time last summer the doctors thought i shuld've been dead bc of the 12000+lipase but only 300+amy. but they were able to put a stent into the pancreatic duct to keep it from closing and up & i haven't had an atk since. ppl need 2kno about this ty

  • i had it once. worst pain in my life. two weeks in hospital. i dont drink so i think i got it from chewing that nicotine gum or i consumed some real bad shit.

  • My death is coming real fast! I cant stop drinking! JOb stress! THey laid off our 4 hour person in the love of money and do not care about people but care about money only! I am about ready to pound a school board members brains in! HE does not want to see me go off because I will kill that bastard!

  • chill out and have a beer or somethin bro

  • get your own business then man.

  • No doubt. I'm 18 and I already have hereditary chronic pancreatitis. I know you don't want sympathy because of how yours formed but anyone with pancreatitis needs sympathy. The starvation and subsequent loss of weight, the pain meds, and hundreds of tests make it a terrible disease. Hey you live and you learn, stay healthy to avoid chronic pain and diabetes.

  • Pancreatitis starts with extreme pain on the lower right hand side of the abdomen! EXTREMELY PAINFUL! Diaheerah and vomiting may be present as well. They will place you on morphine when in ER! You will most likely be admitted to hospital with pancreatitis! This condition can kill!

  • here here. great video! glad some1 had the heart to make one (or pancreas!) alchol-induced pancreatitis. in hospital for 1 month, icu for 9 days.i was 19, and you look the same. more needs to be known about it.

  • Some patients with severe alcoholism die of pancreatitis. Please get help before it is too late! I am a severe alcoholic and I have pancreatitis as I speak. For some patients help is not the answer unfortunately as in my case. This is my fifth case which I am not proud of, but alcoholism struck my family hard!

  • I was hospitalized With Necrotizing Pancreatitis was in the hostpital for 2 months in the ICU for 28 days of that two months was fed by tube for 4 months on pain medicine 5 times stronger than morphine and ive never had a sip of alchohol

  • I wanted to thank you for having the courage to make this video... unfortunately not only drinking causes it. I was in a traumatic motorcross accident and severed my pancreatic duct. I just lost my second job after being hospitalized.... it is a HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE disease. You think diabetes is bad? try being a diabetic in horrifying pain.... ALL DAY... EVERY DAY. It's a bad horror movie I wish I could wake up from. Thank you for making this.

  • If you are taking medications for a condition other than pancreatitis, do not drink as other medications may speed up the onset of this disorder. Believe me! I have had it several times and it is extremely painful!

  • I have had pancreatitis 3 times! I was in ICU for 3 days, on morphine! This condition is so painful so dont binge drink! If you feel sharp pains on your right side and have weird bowel movements then you have pancreatitis!

  • I myself have acute pancreatitis. I hope that your video may enlighten some other folks to te severity of this affliction. It is NO JOKE. THE WORST PAIN IN THE WORLD!!!

  • My son 18 ,became dehydrated after continuous vomiting & in excrutiating pain, he was diagnosed with acute, severe Pancreatitis. 6 days on a drip, morph for pain a barage of tests , fluid around the heart, lungs , stomach cavity. Told he was close to death with complete shutdown of his vital organs, fortunately he has recovered to a point that he is home & reasonably pain free.He says he will never drink again as he realises just how close he came!

  • we are so dumb, specialy when we are young, god bless you I hope you and all those people in pain do well.

  • Hello Stephy.

I was never actually told what really was wrong with you all i got was bits and peices, just wached the little film and am near to tears, Hugs Tom x

  • 2 years of heavy drinking gave me cirrhosis,so thank your lucky stars ...

  • I am constantly on very strong opoid painkillers and still suffer from pain and breakthrough pain,I take enzyme therapy which takes some of the load of my pancreas, this reduced the pain in my pancreas and my bowels.I have had two eospagoscopies (throat) and a colonoscopy,as well as CT scans, and a barium meal,NONE of these come recomended.I will suffer with this for the rest of my life, all due to drinking too much,Stewart,

  • It took seven years until I managed to damage my pancreas and end up with chronic pancreatits,I suffered from reflux disease before then and still do.

I WAS NOT a drinker of heavy spirits or the like, only lager,it is true we are all different for some it can take huge ammounts of alcohol to damage the pancreas, but for some only a small ammount can do it,either once or permanently.

  • I first had pancreatits at the age of 20.I am 27 now,I have strong chronic pancreatitis.I aslo suffer from acid reflux disease. our sympthoms are similar. You know how pancreas hurts, it is fucking horrible pain. This disease taught me a lot about pain.I am on very similar painkillers like u, but I live in Slovakia, so we may call them differently. The funny thing is someone can drink like crazy all his life and nothing will happen...but.you know, what to say.hope we will get better

  • Thank you

  • thanks for making this video. hope many others will take a look at it. very well said as well hon. thats exactly how it was for me. and i have only been a alcoholic for 4 yrs now. glad u have been making it ok. wish u all the best too sweetie!

  • I AM Near death and am screaming for help! People need to wake up and confront their school boards who think they can control the populous! People need to attend more school board meetings! I clean schools and it is not that easy and ID Like to see one school board member try it!
