I remember this advert, it's sad to admit it but I think only Murdoch the newest release looks most realistic Hornby Thomas range isn't that greatly detailed esepcially Emily nothing like her but some are ok and I do collect them and got Scruffey and Old Slow Coach for xmas
The hornbys locomotive seems like they just grabbed a E2-Class 0-6-0T model painted it blue and put a crappy face on it.
Only promblem i see with Bachmanns is the face seems a bit chubby and a few minor details are missing but no one should be surprised by that, its a toy hornbys is missing details to.
Their both descent HO models but i rather have bachmanns since its more accurate. But check out Bachmans G-scale model of Thomas and Percy.

Bachmanns models are better, Hornby's barley look like the engines from the show, bachmann's models are spot on.
