  • <3 Sarah Brightman <3 Forever. <3 Repo The Genetic Opera <3 Always

  • what langauge is it in?

  • @horrorchixbitch56 Italian I think.

  • @JQ377 thats what i thought but i wasn't sure

  • beatiful song reminds me a bit of rip van winkle in the germanic version of the opera where the devil comes to claim what is his. Still beatiful

  • "how does meg feel about leaving geneco? shes on the fence about it"

  • @raidoactivekitty bud-dum ching! >_> sorry

  • I love the part in this movie when it shows Pavi and Luigi playing in the snow :) Repo forever!

  • My mom is wondering wtf I'm doing listening to opera at 3 AM. c:

  • @ihearthpdr How many Repo! tracks how you posted that on by now? ._.

  • Sarah Brightman can sing anything she wants to and can do a great job. Her Dive, Harem, and Symphony albums proved she has a wide range of talent and her performance in this movie was amazing. I watched this movie not thinking I would like it but it was great! Even Paris Hilton wasn't too bad...

  • I have to sing this at my school!!

    I'm so happy ;)

  • Does anyone else hear the words "Lady Gaga" at 1:07?

  • Her voice is amazing. :'>

  • *replay*

  • Out of the three best characters, 2 died. You've gotta be joking.

  • @Skataboy82 Mag and...?

  • @patie9 Nathan.

  • pure beauty

  • Mag is fucking awesome that was a total last fuck you to Roti

  • Us 121 people should get together and kick the one peron who didnt like this ass

  • Sarah Brightman is an actual Opera singer and when I heard in an interview, before she got onto this movie, they called her right when she was working on an album debut. She's got albums out. I listen to her every night before I go to bed. Her music is so soothing and wonderful.

  • @DCMACollectives dude thats epic u know where I'z can get a cd?

  • @DaGrimRetard Any store really that sells orchestra/opera. Where about are you? Are you in the states? If you're in the states you can try this store called Coconuts. It's a store that you can order from and they find the album(s) you want and they sell it to you. Here in my state and city thats where I got mostly some Sarah Brightman albums. If you're not a fan of opera....Sarah Brightman isn't for you but either way she's a talented musician and an amazing opera singer. I'd suggest that.

  • Isn't this in Latin?

  • @Sephylover14 Italian. so you're close ;D

  • This song is a perfect example of what Sarah Brightman is capable of. One of my favorite things is that her voice differs between languages. Like in Italian she has a very rotund, powerful (I want to say deep, but I can't describe it) voice, and then in English, she loses that quality but still sounds beautiful.

  • Those impressed with Sarah's performance in Repo should really check her out in the original Cast Recording for Phantom of the Opera

  • The scene where she rips her eyes out always makes me cringe, it's so painful to watch yet she looks so happy even when it is done. It's an amazingly sad moment :(

  • isn't it amazing that so many young people (ages ranging from 15 to 27) think this classic opera piece is awesome?

  • @keniakittykat How right you are! I am 15. And I love this Movie so much. It is just so awesome and like no other Movie before. Something specially :D

  • The good thing about this movie: It's the best friggin' movie ever.

The bad thing about this movie: It has now ruined ever single other movie for me.And ever other single song.

  • Is this story based on something? Or just something they came up with amazingly.

  • Seen her in other movies.. always so magical.♥

  • otherworldly.

  • I love this... what language is it?

  • @DoYouFearDeath333 Italian

  • @DoYouFearDeath333 Are you sure..? My friend (who's obsessed with the movie) says it's Latin....

  • @DoYouFearDeath333 It is Latin, I took two years of it in grade school. :)

  • @SparklingAngel93 I'm pretty sure it's Italian. If you look at the lyrics its definitely not latin. Italian is derived from latin as a romance language.

  • @DoYouFearDeath333 It's Italian.

  • 1:07-1:08 Lady gaga xDDD lawl

  • What language is she singing?

  • @codegeassgirl629 Italian.

  • I don't mean this in a bad way, and I don't know if anyone has said it yet, but have you ever noticed how it sounds like she's saying "Lady Gaga" at 1:06 - 1:09?

  • @MrJeffrey1019 Shes saying genetic opera....

  • lol 1 person dislikes this . . . always gotta be that odd ball :P

  • does anyone know if the score for this song is availiable anywhere? i'm a soprano(professional singer in training, with a goal to eventually get to opera level), and i want to try to work this song up for auditions if there is a score available

  • I don't understand a word of latin/italian, yet this song still chills me. <3

  • And this one song is the reason why Mag is my favourite character :'3

  • (Translation) Once a long time ago, There lived a bird, the fatal bird, She flew to an archer's arrow on the islands of Saint Paul, For years she had run from the arrow, Beleiving it was chasing her. They asked, why not continue to outfly the danger? They could not see that the arrow was tied to her wing. She flew to untie it and free them both. By dragging the arrow, others wounded, By my carelessness, my carelessness! Down, towrds the devil's mouth- His arrow, my eyes!
  • @MysteriousBrownEyes1 i shall post this in the description thanks

  • A long time ago, A fatal bird named Chromaggia met the arrow of an archer while flying Along the lava coasts for years, thinking she was being chased She escaped the arrow Chromaggia, Chromaggia Why not face the danger? The arrow was attached to her wing And she wanted to be free. Dragging the arrow, Others get hurt and its my fault My fault. Down! Towards the mouth of the devil Her arrow, in my eyes.
  • while i was listening to this, like 200 birds flew by my window

  • what is the song after this one in the movie? my computer crashed and i cant remember the name of it :/

  • What is she saying? I love this but i cant help but wounder

  • Nice song, shitty translation.

  • your translation is shit

  • @prettyjenny1234

    Italian.

  • I like singing this ^^ But... lol I've got to work on it :3

  • um ok, i know it kills some of the magic, but it's human instincts to NOT poke their own eyes out, and even if they did, they'd be sceeching in pain, NOT SMILING AS IF THEY WERE IN BLISS. Awesome voice, no question

  • Who knows.. Maybe she was on Z?

  • Comment removed

  • @xandrawood Why would it hurt? Those aren't her real eyes anyway and since she didn't seem to feel much pain at all I doubt they were even connected to pain nerves or however that works with the eyes.

Plus, she was willing to do it so she didn't care much about the pain and if she didn't care, then why would she bother screaming?

    But indeed, awesome voice.

  • @Platsick wow, i didnt think of that. i mean, her eyes can even make holograms, obviously not normal. im just REALLY squeemish when it comes to eye-pokes. i cant even wear contacts!

  • @xandrawood I have contacts XD

Btw I lol'd at your "When I was listening this, 200 birds flew by my window" comment :'D

  • @Platsick lol yeah its getting cold here, so they fly away in dark clouds xD

  • Comment removed

  • Same. I figured. You could tell. The first time I wasn't all like OMG about it untill after the movie. After that, I'm quite unfazed.

  • Mag has guts i never could have ripped out my own eyes even if i knew they were going to get repoessed anyways. also She is an amazing singer i dont know anyone who could hit those notes.

  • @gumdropz2252 the reason that shes so good is because Maag (Sarah Brightman) is an actual Opera Singer

  • I love you.

  • Awkward.

  • @ninskinnypuppy Yep, she played in Phantom of the Opera.

  • @gumdropz2252 Sarah Brightman is an amazing opera singer. She played the lead female role in Phantom of the Opera in the 90's.

  • @gumdropz2252 what about Amy Lee?

    they're both good singers. =)

  • @gumdropz2252 also, if you're a classically trained soprano or even alto, those notes aren't a problem. but you're right, she's great!!

  • @gumdropz2252 the entire song is about the fact that if she want to leave, and they wont let her, then she will take her own eyes. they have been trapping her to long.

  • @gumdropz2252 I know quite a few opera singers and a select few classical singers who can reach those lovely high notes. In all honesty, Sarah is looked down upon within the Opera community. Many opera singers agree. I remain neutral on it being I've heard good and bad things about her voice.

  • @xskullxkissesx that kinda bugs me. i know its not your opinion but she is really good. i'd really love to hear what real opera singers have to say about her. i know that she has a really bad habit with over use of vibrato but other than that... mind you im am so not an expert, just sayin' ya know?

  • @TheOperaPhanatic I want to go into opera vocals. I've been classically trained for nearly ten years of my life, so I can 'prepare' my voice for taking it a step further and going into opera. I listen to Tarja Turnnen. Tarja has a bit of tendency to put her accent into her live voice, but that's not really something you can help.

As for Mag, it doesn't sound like she's using her head voice. The 'head voice' means your letting your sound resonate in your skull, not forcing it from your throat

  • I like the song, but I knew what was going to happen when she pulled out her eyes... saw it coming heh.

  • Well, it was hinted at throughout the musical.

  • wait so did Rotti make her quit or did she choose to?

  • She chose to quit,Rotti didn't want her to go.

  • Bling Mag chose to.

  • she was leaving because she wanted to do opera and Rotti was forcing her to do music she thought was beneath her. This song is from her first and only show without him

  • so she speaks fucking german english and italian? jesus . . .

  • shes an operah singer, those ar e the main three languages...

she might only sing in them not neccisarily speak

  • I've been singing for years - you don't have to be bilingual to sing in another language, you just have to be able to learn the pronunciation.

  • @SlightlySaracstic I agree, and I myself sing too - knowing the language and the translation to your native language is what adds so much extra emotion. Although singing brings the emotion out, you can interpret it to an entire new level and add more to it if you understand what you are singing. Understanding things adds to a perfect performance if you're able to feel it.

  • This is my most favorite song in the whole movie. It's so beautiful! ^^

  • what is the translation?? I can't find it anywhere.

  • it is a metaphor it is basicaly talkin about a bired with an arrow thru its wing

  • if you look up the translation of the song its so sad

  • Does anyone know the translation of this song..it's so pretty

  • ill get it to you soon. just check the info in a few days sorry bout that. i was gunna put it up but i guess i forgot. sorry bout that

  • hey can you put up the translation now?

  • i am so sorry people. ive been busy with other shit ill get it right now im sooooooo sorry

  • Thanks, just saw the translation there now, much appreciated. :D

And no worries, I fully understand. I only discovered this video yesterday anyway so I didn't particularly have to wait myself.

  • I love this song. Very touching.

Despite the fact that my eyes hurt after she stabbed her eyes out.

  • I know it was so sad when she died
