    Customer Reviews:

Cheap guitar with a great sound, a lot different from les pauls, unike sound that only a semi-hollow can give you, strongly recommend.

    Product Description

    Epiphone Archtop

A nicely affordable version of the venerable Gibson 335 Dot, the 6-string Epiphone Dot Archtop electric guitar still features that fabulous semi-hollowbody sound ...

  • It must be worth a fortune!

  • @diablo9333 Less than a Grand...I've got a Harmony Patrician at the moment (demo coming soon) and it reminds me of this one (and I like it more)...but it's not an Epiphone so it's not worth as much...

  • dude my friends grandpa has this same guitar in like a tan finish

  • even with a bit of damage that is worth way more than $850 i think but that is a gr8 vid

  • @gunsnflamethrowers Thanks! It depends who's selling it...a Vintage shop would want at least twice (or even 3 times more than) whatever the current "going rate" is on eBay...and they would probably get it but they may wait 2 or 3 years until just the right customer comes in. I don't have the luxury of being able to wait it out so I sell for way, way less and count my blessings!

  • @greengtrs you are on ebay and youtube you have the luxury, you can get all the customers this way.

  • @TheSmyates I do a lot of research before I post anything...why do you say that?

  • @TheSmyates Yeah it is.

  • How much did this sell for? Do you have anything similar?

  • @swingitjack I seem to remember about $850 but it was so long ago I would have to dig through old records to find out for sure...I just got an old Kay which is actually a nicer guitar than this...just not as "cool" because it's not an Epi...natural Maple back and sides...let me know if that interests you...video coming in a week or two...

    Thanks,

    Howard

  • I wouldn't touch that beautiful old piece of history. I'd put it in a glass cabinet and buy a The Loar LH-700 to play.

  • I buy and sell guitars...this is my job...and I do it over the internet so I had to overcome my own objections to buying a guitar online...so I go to extremes in showing what potential customers are going to buy...taking lots of pics, giving a thorough description, pointing out all the features (and flaws) and making these videos. When you buy from me, you KNOW what you are getting! And I know I am blessed to have these guitars pass through my hands. I truly love my job!

    Thanks for watching!

  • Did you happen to notice that the thumbwheels on the bridge are supposed to be under the bridge so it can be adjusted?!

  • Because time took it's toll on this guitar...the action is high with this original bridge which is why I suggest having a new one custom made...the thickness of the adjustment wheels make it really bad action. They are on top and mounted like that so I don't lose them...but good eye...almost a year later and no one else commented on it!

  • Is this guitar still for sale?

  • No...long gone...most everything I sell is gone within a few weeks to a month of me posting a video...I try to price my guitars very competitively...usually auction style with a low (or the lowest I'm willing to take) start price and no hidden reserve.

Thanks for watching and commenting (and for your interest)!
