Hello the bassline isnt taken from Shout as you wrote. Quote-ing Evil Eddie richards: I had this reel-to-reel and what I did was get a little loop from the track and found a similar bassline on my Roland 303. Then I recorded the 303 on to this tape machine but because I didn’t have a way of synchronising the 303 with any music I put on there I had to keep stopping and starting the tape machine. That’s why it goes “acid man” and then stops!
amazing for its time ; D i used to BMX the streets with a walkman on with this blasTing back in 89 !!!!!!!!!! and stakker humanoid ; D shroooom soup haha
the young kids don't want this no more, they want X Factor and some painter and decorator wearing a hat singing Supertramp songs. God Bless Em, they'll never know. This time here will never happen again. God bless all original participants.
i have a dream...i wanna see shit on ma trip..like the clouds all fucked up and trees swaying, walls breathing see sound hear sights....good ol days.!..and the moon.??lets just leave it there. :)
love the track ...you youngsters take note.....drop a few micro dotts..and some mushrooms=SHROOMS MAN lol. LATE 80'S MY STOPING GROUND GREAT TUNE :) PEACE.
I HAVE A DREAM THAT ONE DAY ACID HOUSE AND HOUSE MUSIC WILL RETURN !!!!!!!!!!! EVERYTHING COMES BACK AROUND AGAIN ...THE SOONER THE BETTER ......HAPPY DAYS.
@dickietaylor2000 right on bro i want that day to return, no more processed pop and ballad bullsh@t like x factor, lots of underground house will one day reign supreme, i hope
yeah great song; it's nice to see that Jolly Rog has got an unchanging four-on-the-floor beat, added a 1-bar TB-303 bassline and a much-used sample...
please use your radio to tune in new music like that of day before what you saw, dig? when you see the little light going in to the other side before it color of thread inside of not , please refrain and than flick back to .
20 years ago i was banging a bird at the back of an illegal acid house rave in belfast called trip cosmic with loads of punks and skinheads looking on i was only 16 aaaacccceeeeeeeed!
This tune was written by 'Evil' Eddie Richards. I remember when he came to do a PA when he was promoting this track back in 88. He had some clown dressed up on stage playing the part of 'Jolly Roger'. This guy was prancing around and fell over almost knocking himself out! For the rest of the track he was just rolling around in agony. We all thought it was part of the act as no one came to his rescue! Meanwhile Eddie is just standing behind the decks not giving a sh*t! Oh the memories!
totally agree - way back i loved clearing dancefloors...
---- this is a rockin tune played at slower spped in the summer - i have a version that really picks out the 303 and when the pitch switches up..the sound kicks...still sounds wicked ..in a car ...like a gto / nascar. fto
yes I'm sure you're right. The scene in 'Up In Smoke' where they meet and Cheech is driving, they get on a session and Chong says "woooaah, you just took the most acid man"
Yeah, that film is pretty funny... I love the bit where some bloke gets confused when his pet bird starts to repeat all his war lingo -he gets confused & bombs around on a motorbike
@howitt400 The acid around in 88 wasn't that strong because most acid in the 60's was so strong you'd be on your back - not dancing around waving your hands in the air!
I can remember playing my mate this song down the phone I'd taped a load of old skool acid tracks off Jeff Young s Big Beat show. I think that was his name, anyway she changed from being a metal kid to a raver over night. Result!
I had similar where NONE of my friends were into my rave culture music (blah) they were all into more the punk and reggea side of everything.. so no appreciation at all.. n then came their first Dove

Well ma last post was directed at whomever on here but as usual I been numptied by irregularities in script...
Definitive and very strong track which was one of the giants amongst all, without stating the obvious, which unfortunately I am... doh! lol ;)
Great post from The Tux below - - I do like the real stories of a rave in motion... luvvely ;)
