Aramaic is the language and Syriac a modality of a variety of the 4-5000 years old aramaic language, syriacs , assyrian , chaldean (and mandeans even though they are not exactly christians) are arameans, Unity and Diversity.

I am proud to be an Aramaean and a Syriac too, and I am proud that my other Aramean brothers are not my clones.

From Laban the aramean in the Bible, to the King Abgar and to us in the XXIst century we are all arameans.
