I don't like the tempo in this version. I really trust every Simon and Garfunkel version when I'M singing to it that the melody sounds good and the tempo is exactly as in the original BUT I never find one! This version sounds good BUT the tempo is too fast at some points. ! So sorry that I don't give credits here!

@ChrisWalkenFan Believe it or not, part of the discrepancy lies in the inconsistency of the tempo within the famed original. When legendary producer Tom Wilson commandeered the rock backing to the acoustic track, on a tight deadline, there were a couple of tempo swerves that didn't match, but are now trademarks to the arrangement. Young Paul Simon was reportedly apoplectic when he first heard it.

@LazyScott99 Um...you're wrong. The studio version of this song is in this key and has the drums. Simon and Garfunkel did two versions. One with just acoustic instruments and one with full studio backing. This is obviously a karaoke track of the latter.

@racecaller777 omg lol this is no karaoke version of sound of silence.,..!!??!!??!?!?!!?!?!?­its played with an electric guitar!?!?!?!!OMG YOU HAVE SO NO CLUE...and get fucking 57 thumbs up...so sad..its realy realy getting worse from day 2 day...this version spits on the original it copies the melodie and uses the WRONG instruments...
