Pro-Choice: CHOOSE DEATH or CHOOSE LIFE, Pro-Life: CHOOSE LIFE or CHOOSE LIFE or CHOOSE LIFE or CHOOSE LIFE ;D. The RH Bill is used by atheists and agnostics to advocate their unbelief in God and use it as propaganda, furthermore it is used by corrupt politicians - P3Billion will be invested if the bill is passed.
Planned Parenthood is here in our shores and they are vicious. I have to be honest that sometimes I get tired of engaging in a debate with these people, some of them even proclaim that they are Catholics.
@RealCatholicTV In a - what - 97% Catholic country? Unlikely. Still, I'm not saying no action should be taken against this. It's very serious business! Because if they don't fail, to answer your question, many millions of Fillipino lives are on the path to early destruction.
Someone asked where we are getting the statement re. imprison or fine for speaking against. but I deleted the comment accidentally. I have asked the person to repost their question. Until then, however . . . sec 22e) of the bill; any person who spreads "disinformation" about the bill can suffer penalties under sec 23 (inc. imprisonment and fines). The defintion of "disinformation" includes speaking against the self-stated purpose of the bill; basically, if you disagree with it. (cont)
@RealCatholicTV This interpretation is based on precidents set under the Marcos regieme, and this interpretation is likely enough under Phillipino law that several congressmen, when shown this part of the bill (they hadn't read it previously, in much the same way as our Health Care Bill wasn't read by many) changed their mind from support to opposition.
@3rosesred You can go to whatever RCIA program there is, you want and will accept you into it (most of them will accept anyone who wants to take part). You can join whichever parish you like, BUT the person who is the minister of the sacrament will have to be satisfied to have been correctly catechised. In many cases, you will be received into the Church in the Cathedral by the bishop. You can, of course, attend any parish you like after confirmation.
It's one thing to legalize contraception, but to make it illegal to criticize that law is quite something else. That it is being done in such a sneaky, underhanded way suggests that the average Filipino would not be happy about it (to put it mildly) and makes it not too difficult to figure out what the real motivation is for doing this in the first place. It's all about power and money for them, plain and simple. Real humanitarians, aren't they?
@forgetfulmuse Sadly, the liberal-progressive media outlets here are not mentioning this at all! If they did, then where are the news articles from them about this matter? Oh wait, they are too scared to say anything for two reasons. First, it violates their liberal-progressive ideologies. Secondly, they can be killed by a government who bows to the likes of Planned Parenthood if they did anything about it.
I am a survivor of Planned Parenthood. If it wasn't for my Catholic grandparents, I would be dead. Nothing makes me so angry as being told that I am being judgmental when I pray at the clinic I almost died at. How can so many people do nothing when faced with the greatest holocaust of children since the beginning of time?!
My entire family (more than 120 strong and counting) is descended from an improvished imigrant parentless 14-year old teenage rape victim. The baby boy was my grandfather. Cared for in infancy and in pity by a kind soul of no relation and who spoke little English, he never made it into a orphanage, left to fend for himself by age 7, he literally grew up in the streets of America's then poorest and most violent neighborhood.
This is completely consistent with the ethos of modern "liberalism". Recommended reading: "Liberal Fascism" by Jonah Goldberg and the Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians, 6:10-20.
Those politicians here in Manila are gonna do what!? As usual, the liberal-progressives in the media here are not telling this news. Of course, those from PP are doing everything to ensure their victory here by buying off the political system with millions of dollars in cash! May the Lord have mercy on the Fatherland!
Many people are confused about being protestant-catholic!!! And what goes along with coruption… is prostitution, and at large, along with homosexuality (they call it “lady-boy”). I hate to say, but I think the government will pass this law… Because the parliamentaries of both sides already have the bribe money in their pockets. Welcome to the Philippines, Michael.
Yes the Bishops are speaking load and clear. I remember they took Playboy to court… I don’t know if they win their case after I left… Yes they are willing to go to jail… And they will be going. As far as saying that 85% of the population is catholic, yes, no doubt. But practising? Few. Yes the protestant are promoting anticonception, and they are a lot more than 10%. In the small town were I lived their was at least 15 temples around the one catholic church.
@foldedintobeauty3 Well, actually - it's not wrong to stop people doing ALL things with their bodies (putting illegal drugs into them etc.) but that's beside the point. This isn't about stopping women doing something they want with their bodies, it is about stopping people doing something (murder) to the bodies of their children which are inside them.
Interesting story. However, there is one side to this interestingly not mentioned. What is the opinion of the public about the law? Is the average Filipino person on the street as outraged by the bill as we are?
@sulkow82 The public opinion about this bill has been sketchy at best. The liberal-progressives in the media say that only the Catholics are against the bill.
Right now Planned Parenthood and others are stonewallng investigations over their cover up of sex trafficing and child rape in the U.S. I'm sure its the same elsewhere and it'll happen in the Phillipines too. So this goes beyond just murder. Even the abortion regulators, officials and police are guilty of ignoring these clear crimes by abortion centers for years. Where's the same level of outrage by the world and press that was hurled at the Catholic Church for its abuse cases? What hypocrites!
I had the chills and tears came to my eyes. Just now I perfectly understood the DRAMATISMS of the situation. Monstrous is the right characterization. God have mercy on us!

Good. Let PP pump millions of dollars into this. That way, when they fail, they will be out of pocket by as much with nothing to show for it.
