  • They burn it off so the lamb has lesd a chance of getting infected.if u have done this b4 then u know its not cruel

  • ha that was my first summer job!! but we just chopped the tails not burnt them and we cut the ears too

  • thumbs up if you thought the thumbnail was a guy wearing a mask

  • Comment removed

  • fuck the humane bullshit america needs a better economy all the time and effeciency always will lead to effectiveness so processing sheep faster so they will make more wool for us is a good thing

  • O.o i flinch at everything...

  • @mycyan someone must have used my account because this video is freakin cruel

  • OUCH shit i couldnt do that to any livin thing....

  • Wow hopefully one day the practice of killing animals will be made illegal, and all religious people who use animals as sacrifice shall be thrown in jail! Let the sacrifices end and down with the sacrifcial religions! False religions!

  • wow you burned its tail off ive never seen anything like that. at the end he's like 'my nuts!!'

  • so why do you poke a hole in the ear?

  • There are much more less pain full ways than that....

  • Is this humane? I mean it looks like the lamb is in not too much pain.. but I;m just wondering if it is

  • @mariopimp69 Yes it is

  • @mariopimp69 the castration bands are cruel, did you notice how the lamb staggered while walking? that's pain, and it'll feel like that for a few days until the testicles go numb from blood loss, simple cut castration is actually less cruel, since it's a cut, a little pain, then the lamb's fine, look for "Dirty Jobs' Mike Rowe on Lamb Castration, PETA, and American Labor" this'll tell you everything you need to know.

just copy paste into the search bar.

  • @mariopimp69 Are you friggin kidding? Can you not see how the lamb is struggling when they're burning his tail off?

  • Allon6

Thank you I didn't know that fact! I certainly agree with the reasons for docking a lamb.

    Regards,

    Bidil6

  • @Bidil6 im glad to inform people that this isnt just a pointless cruel act of violence which for some reason alot of people think it is

  • Docking with cauterization is the most humane method. They do it to help prevent fly strike, which is painful and fatal. Blow flies lay eggs in the skin and the maggots eat the flesh. It's easy to get, that's why docking is common practice with wool sheep (not hair sheep). If you think this is cruel, check out what Mulesing is....that's cruel.

  • how fucking barbaric. This is totally sickening. Those who say it isn't are so used to the cruelty as a way of life they don't know any better. Animals feel pain every bit as acutely as humans.

  • the lambs are docked because in the pasture the lamb chew on eachother's tails, created flesh wounds, wound related diseases account for over 45% of a farmers livestock dying, there 10 seconds of pain is a hell of alot better than slowly detiorating away adn being eating by parasites

  • @alion06 No it's to stop dags which lead to fly strike.

  • @booplexie lol idk what either of those are

  • @booplexie Dags are dried shit around the tail/rear end area, and flystrike is where blow flys lay eggs in the warm moist wool created.

  • @pungr As barbaric as you say it is, its for the best of the Animal.

  • The rubber band method for castrating a lamb is far more cruel than just cutting them off with a knife.

  • This is a very helpful video. Thank you! I am starting to raise lambs. My first ewe lambed and I have to do my first docking and ear tagging. This was a great demonstration for me.

  • brand with paint, lol.

  • Thats how you do it.

  • Ouch! Looks extremely painful...

  • it is, and cruel

  • Some men's "tails" should be cut too to prevent virus transmission.. and I don't talk about circumcision, but complete amputation!

  • I can only assume the three X's in your name are an open invitation for your favorite hobby: fucking.

How much for the deluxe package, you filthy slut?

  • I am totally against animal cruelty, but i find this i one of the best way to do do all that stuff, Exept for the castration, but , then again, ive seen worst, and this is the best i seen so far

Keep taking care of you animals like that, this is how farm animals should be treated

  • This way is much SAFER, and LESS HARMFUL than the way that the gov't tries to make people doing it with a rubber band. They forget about the whole ordeal here & the pain's over with in a matter of minutes.

with the rubber band, they are in pain for days

  • that must have hurt, well at least its done fast and the lamb probably forgets about the whole thing

  • Can we talk about how hot the guy is holding the lamb? Look at those arms! Oh man. I need to get into the sheep business.

  • Yowch! Poor thing!

  • cool!!how old is the lamb?

  • I know that kid at the end that was colby

  • why do people do this

  • TaserInstructor, it would be so much crueler leaving their tails on with all the flies bugging the poor things...

  • That's why parasite treatments exist. I don't dock the tails of my cats!

  • Its because your cat has total control of its tail. So when it needs to relieve itslef it lifts its tail and does it. Lambs do not and so feces builds up on the tail flys lay eggs in this feces and the eggs hatch into maggots and eat their way into the lambs skin. I raise lambs and would never put them through that.

  • No, my cat doesn't have complete control of her tail. If I don't treat her, her tail also gets ticks, fleas, you name it.

Anti-parasite treatment seems more humane, but yeah, it seems the minute an animal is cattle for meat or milk, anything is possible in order to

    ...$av€ Som€ mon€y!

  • Your cats tail also doesn't have wool on it that never stops growing. When dogs are puppies and they are a breed that gets their dew claws removed and ears and tail docked they are not put under by anesthetic, it is too dangerous. Learn a little before you criticize.

  • Here in Holland its illegal to do what you say about any breed of dogs "dew claws removed, ears and tail docked" with or WITHOUT anesthesia! You risk heafty fines...

  • Well I am impressed. They did 6 different procedures in under 45 seconds and the lamb only cried once after being released. I was amazed that the lamb didn't cry during any of the procedures.

  • Just like some circumcized boys don't cry either. They lapse in a shock state from the extreme pain!

  • NikkieRoxxx, you fucking idiot. "Chepa illiterate farmers"? Go fuck yourself, I wonder how long you would last trying to manage a farm, not very being my guess. Do you even know why they dock? I gues you havent ever ventured from your perfect confides of the city and seen a fly struck sheep, here go and 'google' it, being the only way a fucking moron could see it. Maggots, rotting flesh and parasites will host on any sheep that has clumps of fecal matter around their tales, from not docking..

  • i just had a lamb born this morning im going to band its tail and its kind wied that you brand them

  • that was way fast!!! lol but i take 4ever!!!..=-) thanks for posting... PETA ppl and city ppl that hate it can just not eat lamb if they dont like the process!!!

  • lol I thought PETA people didn't eat meat :-P

  • I never seen that process of cutting off the tail especially at that age. Understandable, when they are just born, but not like that especially at that age.I've seen them rubberband procedures.Made to stop the circulation. Thats usually done when they are born. But hey, everyone has their own style.Personally,I don't like this one. You posted the video, you should be expecting comments as well.Thank you for sharing.

  • Holy crap that was the fastest processing I've ever seen. This isn't cruel. Think it over when you've had your fill of lamb.

Oh yeah, note all the whiney PETA activists flagging down the comments. Tsk-Tsk.

  • man im hungry now! I aint had any tails in years!!!!!! YUMMMM!!!

  • its not cruelty.. cruelty is leaving the tails on and the sheep getting eaten alive by maggots...

we cut ours at school but at home we use the elastrator (rubber band) and when we nut the rams we use the elastrater as well..

we did a border leister (a breed of sheep) the other day and he went realy high pitched when we let him out of the cradle.

  • actually, the whole thing about getting "eaten alive" by maggots if the tail is not cut is a myth. There are farmers out there who raise tailed sheep without such problems.

  • it is true, my sheep had a long tail and maggots started to "glimb on" so we had to cut it off

  • haha if thats what you want to believe

  • this is cruelty

  • I agree. They don't even get any kind of pain reliever. and did you see how he squirmed? kinda makes me wish someone would come and chop off a few digits of these people so they know how it feels...

  • you dont know what you're talking about you idiot.

if you're not going to breed animals, of any kind, you shouldnt have to have your parts

much like cats get spayed and neutered, this is the process they use. if you actually worked, or knew people who worked on farms, they dont enjoy doing it.

these guys werent like LOL DOOOOOOOOOOOD CUTTING OFF SHEEPS NUTS!

  • cats get spayed/neutered under GENERAL ANESTHESIA you effing twat. and if the sheep weren't kept in such abhorrent conditions they wouldn't have a problem with maggots in the first place. Obviously they evolved tails for a reason.

  • do you really think these guys have the time and/or money to put these animals under for a little?

all you see on your little pussy PETA videos are the people who have done wrong.

these guys have done right, and the sheep aren't kept in such conditions at all times. im sure they're allowed to roam after the docking

  • amen to that! you're 100% right

  • I find it funny that not only did you spell illiterit wrong but you have no idea as to anything you are speaking about with regards to sheep.

  • To be fair, you also spelt illiterate wrong. Dumbass.

  • I was actually trying to spell it that way for effect. Poor delivery I guess.

  • Oh. Yeah, poor effect.

  • Cats and dogs are put under, AND are not castrated/spayed with rubber bands or whatever cheap method. This are surgically done. I had my guinnea pig castrated; he was put to sleep and had stitches... he managed wel, he was eating and playing just an hour after waking up!

  • LOL Probably one of the quietest castrations ever, and it included him getting his tail chopped too.

  • Looked like it was a rubber-band castration

  • lol? chopping body parts is not funny.

  • do you guys eat the tails? i just had a feed of lambs tails the other day, we cook them on a wire netting laid directly on an open fire till they whistle, peel the skin off and MMMMM :)

  • Seriously??? You really eat the tails??? I've never heard of that before.

  • poor lamb... hat das ganz am anfang ne narkose bekommen???
