OMG!!! I saw that book the other day and i was thinking "omigosh need this book! It reminds me so much of threadbangers!!" and whaddya know! here it is. thats awesome. I would buy it, but i'm broke at the moment :( but i also rly liked the other book "99 ways to rock you denim"...or sumthin like that.
I'd like to see you guys take on the male waistcoat (vest, over the pond, isn't it?), either something modern from scratch or how you guys would punk up and update a more readilly available and cheaper version of the... 'granddad' variety?
nice ep. =D i can say im defiantly lookin forward to all those new ones startin monday.
i really want to start makin some new stuff and when ever i watch your videos it gets me in the mood to work on stuff.
im currently working on a remake of Link's outfit The Legend of Zelda series only modern. the finished product will be a green zip up hoody with white thermal sleeves, detachable hood, and a tri-force on the back =D
which brings me to ask, will there be any gamer fashion in the future?
Loved this ep! Thanks so much for the info about reading patterns! I was hesitant about using Burdastyle b/c of my pattern-illiteracy, but I think I feel a bit more confident about it now. =) I want to go check out that scarf book too - looks good.
I didn't mind the ad, although I was surprised by it. I think I'll go watch it. =D
Oh, sheesh...that was a litte harsh, now wasn't it? Are Rob & Corinne supposed to pay out of pocket for everything *forever*? if having an ad here & there ensures that Threadbangers keeps coming our way, I don't mind a bit.
You guys deserve all the success you can attain. The format of your show is somewhat futuristic, although I can't quite pin down what. I guess the interactivity. I am crafty by nature, but I never get to do anything, still I appreciate your show a lot. I must have used a sewing machine twice in my life, and never for a human, but those patterns rock!!
Great as always. I have found Burda patterns to be the most confusing of all though. I'll stick with the other names. I mean when you need to cut 2 pieces and all it says is "2" how are beginners supposed to know what to do... (just my two cents)
Of course the download factor is really cool. I get really cheap patterns though, I use the .99 cent sales!! wooo hoo.
i think putting a big budget movie ad in this is like selling out. you are all about reusing and making your own stuff. why not put an ad in for an indie film?
HI THREADBANGER! I WRITE THIS IN CAPITAL LETTERS TO MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS:
SINCE YOU STARTED BEING INTO INTERIOR DESIGN, CAN'T YOU PLEASE MAKE A HAMMOCK? A VERY LARGE ONE? I HAVE TWO CROSS BEAMS IN MY DORM ROOM UNDER THE ROOF AND I DON'T WANNA BUY ONE (THEY'RE EXPENSIVE) BUT MAKE A ROBUST ONE MYSELF.
GREETZ,
NESSELINE
(Thumb me up, if you suggest the same thing! It's springtime, everybody needs a hammock! :)
Great video. I am a new subscriber, so please forgive me if this is a dumb question. When you mention the other projects at the end of the video that others have made - is there a place where viewers can find them? I would love to know how to make that hackisack and those hoodies. Also a link to the Burda Style website would be awesome. Would you consider putting links in the video description section? It would sure help new subscribers like me. Thanks, and keep up the great work!
Hey guys , I've been watching ur show for ever and decided to sign up on facebook so i could comment on ur awesome vids! You guys rock! keep up the good work.
this would have been so helpful a week ago hahaha... burdastyle is wunderful for a wanna be sewer like me. Tho i had to figure out what front lining and the other linings are for... sorry ... a green one here... But I'm abt to finish the dress yipee....
I brought this up on the threadbanger site. More people will probably see it here. Men are ignored in DIY fashion. I'd use what I learned from the tutorial if I could use any patterns on burda style. No DIY books have much of anything for men. All I can do is adapt ideas for women to clothes for men, and I usually end up not liking those designs. Can't somebody pull me out of this rut of silk screening and cutting up my pants?
Yay! I've been using patterns for years, so this wasn't that helpful, but I still get encouraged whenever I watch these videos! And yay for a new episode every day next week!!!! I'm so excited!
great...thank you so much for putting together this show! i personally know some sewing basics but i've always been a little nervous about sewing with patterns...maybe i'll try it out now.
Great show, I was just looking for patterns online yesterday!
And why are you guys complaining about the commercial? How do you think they pay for the projects they do and the places they go? This show is awesome and probably takes a lot of work to film and edit and plan, there can't be any time left for a paycheck-job.
I have made a really cute top out of a pattern from the Burda website. I just printed it out on my computer at home and stuck them together. It was SO easy and there is a lot of great free patterns on there.
