  • Liam and Noel Gallagher are awesome.

  • Well at least we can all agree that Oasis and Blur were better than any of the mediocre rock coming out today

  • What's with the video? How is it related to the song?

  • Basically same meaning as Every Planet We Reach Is Dead by Gorillaz?

  • @frangolina11: i have a better question: why do i have to see oasis mentioned in the comment section of every single blur video, and vice versa? i really doubt people look up blur videos on youtube for the opportunity to read about oasis

  • That footage is incredible.

  • @pulpstress

Well you just mentioned it for a start, dickhole.

  • I cannot get enough of Think Tank since the album came out...there is something special about the songs, I won't get sick of them, could listen to them every day especially this song, good song, sweet song and put a battery in your leg...

  • I guess the people who dissliked that meant that they dont like that... they love it

  • first time I heard this song was when I was 13, maybe 14... I had recorded it on tape and than I listened many times but I didnt know the title, lyrics, anything. Few years later whilst listening to some music of Blur I found Out Of Time one more time. whats an impressive and incredible feeling... one of my best songs ever!

  • One of the best songs ive ever heard, it has so beautyfull lyrics, it touchs my heart after so many years as ive heard it the first time. I really miss blur!

  • Transient beings and transient things, if always changing and moving, people and things like this world should be treasured beyond any compensation.

  • great song about the fucking war and especially the devils blair and bush

all the puppets of the NEW WORLD ORDER

  • Where's the love song to set us free?

  • Its unlikely I would enjoy this song without this fabulous video.

  • dude whats up with the video

  • why do you need to love oasis and hate blur or hate oasis and love blur? stop being a wanker and love both bands for fucks sake

  • @frangolina11 agree!!! Noel and Damon accidentally bumped into each other in a bar last year. they had a beer and just laughed about all this stupid fight.

  • @frangolina11 I say the same about Radiohead and Coldplay fans. There's some petty rivalries in music!

  • ... I think this song is more than a further sad pop song for selfish crises ... I Think its maybe the most honestly and most serious anthem of the todays mankind and their main problems ... when ever I hear the song I feel weak, guilty and coincident respsonsible to change something without beeing able ... what a conflict ..

  • great song

  • This song isn't too bad apart from Damon's whining voice yawn.....

  • blur is amazing. damn shame that they dont receive airplay in these here parts.

  • Oasis were seen much more as "working class" and Blur as"middle class". I don't see any rivalry. They're just different. I prefer Blur's music: more various, more intelligent, more deep. Oasis copy the Beatles, that's all. I don't see any evolution of Oasis music since 90s,

  • Anybody else think that Grizzly Bear was inspired at least a bit by the sound of this song?

  • @chukmaty which grizzly bear song?

never heard of them, but if they sound like this i gotta check them out! :)

  • @meab12

While we wait for others is really good, has the same understated sound.

  • @chukmaty Yes! Great observation!

  • Both Oasis and Blur are amazing bands that defines british rock n roll.

  • my life

  • for new HD music videos check out izzybizzy.de

  • I liked the video and how the content reflected on your personal observations. The song was awesome. Thanks for posting this.

  • genial.absolutely genial.

  • Oh yeeeeaaaaah baby...deep they became...deep they became my baby.

Expressing the really important things that go down to the ground of your soul...and back...baby...

  • you really hear the gorillaz in this...

  • @emmachick20 yeah his voice hahha

  • @emmachick20 I was thinking the same.

  • @marklawrence99

    Yes...

  • I would also want to know what this video is. Is it the actual video clip? Is it from a movie or something? I see subtitles there

  • @pithikoulis It's from a BBC documentary, I believe, about the life of a navy sailor on an aircraft carrier.

  • @pithikoulis From wikipedia: The song was accompanied by an anti-war music video, directed by John Hardwick, based on footage from a 2002 BBC Correspondent documentary (Warship) depicting life aboard the United States aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. The video is centered around Jill Ameperosa, a 24-year-old aircraft maintenance technician. It was the first of Blur's videos to not feature the band themselves in any way.

  • @zefirum thanks mate. I am gonna watch that documentary :)

  • pa zašto toliko polemike oko te dvije grupe kad nisu ni slične!

  • This girl has pretty eyes ... i love her!!song is so amazing, i cry when i listening ....

  • Gorillaz ain't bad, I like them a lot as I like every single project of Damon Albarn (that man is brilliant!). But why does everyone bring 'em up? This song is totally unrelated to them. Appreciate Blur and their music, as FellowMusicFan1 said. If you wanna talk about Gorillaz, you can go to a Gorillaz video and leave us alone.

  • In these comment boxes. Idiots who keep bringing up Gorillaz, which by the way really isn't a band. Its almost completely and utterly done by Damon Albarn. It just points out to me people are more about image than the actual music. Which isn't to say his single work is bad. Its fantastic. But people who can't appreciate Blur and are always saying Gorillaz really gets to me.

  • Blur wasn't the same without Graham. But this song is brilliant.

  • Almost yelled 'RADIOHEAD' when Damon started to sing.

Then I did a big facedesk and woke up.

But really, this song is Radiohead influenced!

  • holy cr*p, he sounds exactly as 2-D

    AWESOME SONG

  • @assol2 Man, Damon Albarn voices 2D, haven't you ever read the band's bio?

  • Gorillaz ;3 <3

  • watch the world spinning....gently out of time...

  • i may get many -1 but i have to say i believe oasis are much better! this doesn't means i hate blur! They are GREAT!

  • One of the best songs I have ever heard

  • to open up your mind

    watch the world spinning

    gently out of time

  • What's funny about the Oasis V Blur debate is that both bands are fuckin fantastic! Who gives a fuck who are better. It's not just the fans either, Damon and Noel don't do themselves any favours by publicly declaring their hatred for the other band. Both write terrific songs, if I had a preference...no I don't have a preference.

  • this song is really out of time! i like the kanun (musical instrument) sound coming behind.

  • oh love...where have we gone?

  • great lyrics!!

  • i never got that if i like oasis i can't like blur crap, music bands are not football clubs , u can like both. it's recomended actualy, it's called broadening your horizons

  • gorillaz singer ?

  • @155altair Yup. 2D = Damon Albarn

  • i repeat n repeat n repeat n repeat ......damn ..i just wanted to say something about that song but must press repeat Oo ... never mind

  • Is there anyone like damon ?

  • after spending 20 yrs in the Navy... I was surprised by this vid... think of spending months on end on this ship or one like it... hats off to all the Navies out there. it's a hard life and even prisoners in jail have better living conditions... but you all do a great job. thanks for your selfless service.

  • u silly sack

  • THANKS.....BLUR....THIS SONG IS VERY IMPORTANT IN MY LIFE...TRAVEL ...MY WORK-SHITTY JOB... NEXPRESSO, Bimba and Cona, Miss Sexty....trash

  • load of crap from a great band

  • I was never really a Blur fan in the mid 90's until they released their self titled album 'Blur'. Tracks like Beetlebum just blew me away and then every album since like 13 & Think Tank are just brilliant. Albarns a great writer, but I think they came of age when Coxon put more input into their music. As for people who slag off both Blur & Oasis, they should really get a grip.

  • this video really sums up all my fear, sadness and frustration i had trough the bush years. im european and i was shocked by where the usa, whichs music, movies and culture and ideas i loved was turning into.

even if obama is a medicore president....its 1000times better than the bush nightmare.

look at some vids from election night. all the people are spontaneously singing the national anthem. land of the free! again. thats great about the usa. they will always recover.

  • their best video-ever...

  • Those subtitles were so unnecessary.

  • I'm almost 100 % sure now! He sounds like 2D from Gorillaz! Any coincidence!? He is Gorillaz's lead singer 2D!

  • @HarmonyOfElements @HarmonyOfElements indeed, its the same guy, damon albarn. he is the only fixed member of gorillaz

  • @lawrencev, so true | ty

  • top top song...

  • best song ever !

  • Great great song this. However, always thought the album Think Tank was pretty unusual for Blur. I know people that were not Blur fans, but once they heard tracks like this and becuase because the music went on a completely different direction from their previous stuff they now like them.. Also used to be an Oasis man in the 90's and still like them, but no doubr Blur are the better band. That stupid war was just over the record companies acting like a bunch of wanks!!

  • ... to open up your mind ...

  • so impressive

  • Comment removed

  • you cant love someone you dont know anymore............true

  • I am a Mancunian and in the 90's, thought Oasis were the best. Now I look back, Blur were a much better band and very original, not just a modern day copy of The Beatles! Think Tank - Great album!

  • there was a feud between both bands back in the 90's but Blur came out on top for sales , by some 50 000 albums. I don't mind either bands but i listen more to find myself listening to blur much more

  • la cancion es buenisima, pero el video es tan malo que no dan ganas de verlo.

  • because it is.

  • @CaptainHJ LMAO are you just playing dumb? :)

  • i use to think blur were all about girls and boys, parklife and counrty house then i really started to listen to them. they are such a great band

  • I like blur!just it!

  • it always makes me reflect on things.

  • used to listen to this one going to school every morning for almost a year...

    love it

  • Quality not always wins. Blur was ahead of time. Oasis just going backwards in time, but the masses liked it better.

    What to do?

  • @jekke1980 youre 100 right. but oasis had some glorious moments too, and still think that Champagne Supernova and Dont look back in anger are both classics. and in generall, morning glory is a hell of a good album. this stupid war between blur and oasis made alot of people choose side, but that's silly. theyre both good. blur is a much better band, but theyre both good.

  • @21threvol The war was just because Blur moved their Country House release so it would be the same day as Roll With It. And they wouldn't have done it if there wasn't such pressure from their label. They say Morning Glory won over The Great Escape, but the latter has better reviews. It's all about record selling.

  • @jekke1980 the masses also listen to justin bieber

  • @jekke1980 ITs always like that. When something is ahead of its time, most of the people don't like it.Heck people don't like anything they don't understand.

  • Great song really haunting vocals. But is it just me or does this sound like radiohead?

  • that's why it's good

  • Really of the best music videos.

  • ah agathejerome enfin un(e) francais!!!!!!! super chanson sinon -_-

  • merci ,bien et salutation

  • one of the best videos ever made.. the song is also amazing.. great band!

  • un groupe qui a aquis une grande maturité.

  • who gives a damn whether blur are better than oasis,

this song is about those moments where you stop being caught up in your ego and stand back to admire life as it is, so if youre wrapped up in whos better then youre missing the point, just let go and appreciate the song in its own right

  • @lawrencev you got the message, men!!

  • @lawrencev but blur is better ;0

  • @lawrencev Oasis v Blur that's some 90's time warp thing They are both OK but I wouldn't say either where outstanding they both borrowed a lot from earlier better bands

  • i had dreams of this music video for nights since i first viewed this on youtube..

  • blur in years to come will be regarded as much more important band than quoasis

  • They're already regarded as the better band.1995 aside, there's really no comparison between the two. Oasis put out just one decent album (which I still regard as a sort of "Beatles for the nineties" rip-off), whilst this band actually made THEIR music and were incredibly complex, meaningful AND popular.

  • Brilliant. SUCH an underated band.

  • Yeah love their songs, and graham coxon solo, also great!

  • Did graham play the guitar in this song?

I think the last song he did play on this sink tank album is Battery in your leg.

  • no not on this song

  • i used to be one of them oasis lover blur haters

but this is such a mature close to home sound that just makes you want to hear blur more it changed my view of blur in big ways

  • easily blur's most intense song.

  • i too am out of time. i wish i listened to myself. i wish i didn't spend the last 12 years being angry. anger needs to be directed properly, mine certainly wasnt. my life looks like a bombs been hit on it. we live for youth. i'm nearly 24. what can i spend my time doing now? is it worth it?

  • I love think tank. I almost cried when i first listened to it. I think Blur is the most powerful band ever. Their music is more valuable than gold. the feeling I get when i listen to blur is undescribable.

  • This album really started to sound like the gorillaz.

  • i apologise i didn't know this was the actual video to the song , now i do i realise its just gud publicity , ie out of time, warship cmon , i thought this was a user vid grr!

  • I like this video alot, sad, with "war" lots of people are out of time on many levels.

However, she looks like model with no make-up. Wonder if this is just video shoot, not part of real documentary

  • fave blur song! :o)

There playing Glsto sunday night and I'm gonna miss it :o( have to leave early, gutted....

  • One of blur's best songs and probably my favourite album is think tank

  • the best and timeless song....can't say better words to this band anymore, they were masterpiece...welcome back blur!

  • yep, it is

    wikipedia:

"The song was accompanied by an anti-war music video, directed by John Hardwick, based on footage from a 2002 BBC Correspondent documentary (Warship) depicting life aboard the United States aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. The video is centered around Jill Ameperosa, a 24 years old aircraft maintenance technician. It was the first of Blur's videos to not feature the band themselves in any way."

maybe they're kinda out of time as well

  • this is so sad, i didnt realised what this vid was about and i was thinkin about having a gf/boyfriend and being in a ship for a couple of months and it was just the thing i was thinkin about lol

  • Such a good song and yet so unknown!

  • Love this song, love this video.

    Bellissima.

  • One of the best Blur songs if you ask me!

THINK TANK was my first experience of the UK music scene...

  • love this song! Anyone has heard about Jill Amperosa after the documetary? Is there any web site where I can see it?

  • love it!

  • man this video is everywhere , looking for anything other than this, listen to the lyrics , propaganda springs to mind

  • I'm genuinely curious: why do you think this is 'propaganda'? All this video suggests to me is that war involves a lot of scared people, a long way from home. It's hardly 'Top Gun', is it?

  • Tom Cruise @ 1:32

  • Sorry, I still don't see it... Please remember that Damon Albarn was (is) very active and outspoken in the anti-war movement; it's highly unlikely his band would perform a 'propaganda' song.

Do people have a problem with US Navy personnel being portrayed in a humanistic, sympathetic manner rather than as the personification of evil - is that it?

  • ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVER WRITTEN.

  • cant wait for glasto, been listening to these tunes nearky remembering the 90s

  • Incredibly simple and beautiful

  • emotion.....positive

  • i hear this song many years ago.. and now.. it´s the same... SOOOO GR8!

  • This album and this song are amazing!!!

  • I love this song !!

    Thanx for the uploading

  • вери найс)

  • blur better than oasis all the way!!

  • I used to like blur, then i didnt like them..and then i liked them again..

    true story!
