  • I don't understand why he isn't more popular than all these pop singers today. Not to be too much of a hipster here, but I hate the conformity of the mainstream.

  • He is just magical. For anyone in D.C. he's playing at the 9:30 Club on Sun. Oct. 3rd. I cannot wait to be in his presence and experience the phenomenon that is Kristian Mattson!

  • I would kill to see him in such an intimate setting my goodness.

  • Just to clarify the confusion, he is playing a guitar based on the martin 00 or a small 000.

  • It looks more like a dreadnought style guitar. I think it looks like a Dreadnought Guild.

  • This is beautiful. His performance has so much vim in it it makes me want to smash a cheap coffee table.

  • lol i agree

  • A must see

  • much love

  • it looks like my twelve string tanglewood parlour, its not a tanglewood i dont think but could be a parlour guitar.

  • I watched the kexp podcast version of this about fifty times in the bus that first week. I am just stunned by the amazing music.

  • hahahaa nobody likes ur comment!

  • dont be fucking stupid

  • Just saw him open for the Mountain Goats...great stuff!!!

  • omg that must've been the best show ever :D

  • oh it was. john vanderslice was there too

  • @ascarpaci We shouldn't put so much talent in one place, in case of natural disaster.

  • I Wont Be Found: the title reminds me of Vetiver's To Find Me Gone. The Tallest Man is awesome too ! Anybody knows St Thomas ?

  • Looks like a Nylon stringed guitar?

  • but sounds like a steel-string

  • Does anyone know the kind of pickup he is using?

  • Shadow something, they are quite cheap actually...

  • Just saw him in Louisville KY yesterday with Bon Iver headlining. He was Amazing!

  • YES! I saw them in Madison, WI on their last stop of the tour. INCREDIBLE.

  • Goosebumps all over the place. I have been listening to this album this whole summer. Great songwriter.

  • that's amazing singing/guitar playing. jeez what's with swedish singers, apparently they are all amazingly talented!

  • I'm just completely fucking surprised how well a nordic chap can sing in a rural american accent. Or how he writes such elegantly simple lyrics when English isn't even his first language. Not to be pedantic here, but wooow.

  • @OptionallySavage Most Scandinavians I have met over the years have spoken in perfect english and their grammar probably better than the average native english speaker as they learned it properly in school where as native english speakers tend to get lazy and gramatically they suffer when they try to articulate something. Their accents are the influence of the american and British english accent.

  • @OptionallySavage hehe well, we start very early with enligsh here in Sweden :P your right with one thing tho, he's accent is really good!

  • @OptionallySavage Some rural american dialect IS nordic.

The Southern accent as I was told by a Cherokee Indian is an ethnic blend including Kings English spoken with Native American deep mouth vocalizations and cadence.

  • @OptionallySavage You should see his interviews! He sounds almost American.

  • i was thereeee!

  • no i wasn't!

  • come to argentina pleaseee

  • awesome!! thanks for uploading it and please bring more!

  • We can't wait for you to come to the U.S.!
