I don't understand why he isn't more popular than all these pop singers today. Not to be too much of a hipster here, but I hate the conformity of the mainstream.
He is just magical. For anyone in D.C. he's playing at the 9:30 Club on Sun. Oct. 3rd. I cannot wait to be in his presence and experience the phenomenon that is Kristian Mattson!
I'm just completely fucking surprised how well a nordic chap can sing in a rural american accent. Or how he writes such elegantly simple lyrics when English isn't even his first language. Not to be pedantic here, but wooow.
@OptionallySavage Most Scandinavians I have met over the years have spoken in perfect english and their grammar probably better than the average native english speaker as they learned it properly in school where as native english speakers tend to get lazy and gramatically they suffer when they try to articulate something. Their accents are the influence of the american and British english accent.
The Southern accent as I was told by a Cherokee Indian is an ethnic blend including Kings English spoken with Native American deep mouth vocalizations and cadence.

Just to clarify the confusion, he is playing a guitar based on the martin 00 or a small 000.

It looks more like a dreadnought style guitar. I think it looks like a Dreadnought Guild.

This is beautiful. His performance has so much vim in it it makes me want to smash a cheap coffee table.

I Wont Be Found: the title reminds me of Vetiver's To Find Me Gone. The Tallest Man is awesome too ! Anybody knows St Thomas ?

@OptionallySavage Some rural american dialect IS nordic.
