I won't deny what you said that Mao is not good at acting out, but I think because of that we could feel her passion from her performance. Her passion is fom the pure love she has for figure skating, the strong desire to give her 100% to her performance. You know that true passion is not one that you can act out, it comes out from the bottom of their heart.
What a funny word to describe good athlete "overall package"! That was a word Scott always use when he can not point out any excellence in their performance.
Many people prefer watching the performance with full of passion even they have mistakes rather than watching boring over all packaged performance.

They seemed to be showing that they had a special tool to do close observations and can judge their jumps and started to give sever scores to Mao, but now days everyone can do the inspection and see if the scores judges gave were reasonable or not. I think they noticed that the judges were micro scoped and realized that giving unreasonable down grade will not work. Don;t you think it is one of the reason they accepted the suggestion for the rule changes this year

Quad or triple axel, a new coach or not, rhythmic gymnastics or not, Sochi or wherever, Maos main rivals for the second place will always be Nagasu (USA) or Min-Jung (Korea).
She should learn to flow with the music instead of just trying to do jumps and move arms around. Lacks artistic qualities and her jumps make me nervous.

I think so, too. It was obvious that they wanted to put Mao down. I feel so sorry for her. Besides, I don't think that it was a good idea to hire this new coach. This new coach is trying to turn her into someone she isn't. She's not appearing as natural on court anymore. But she still skated well enough to win the silver medal, I think. It was very unfair to put her at #4.

yunas sp was head and tails better than mao and i am a huge mao fan. yuna has finesse and confidence and skates from the heart. her score was well deserved.
yes... she did better AFTER she FELL -__-.... maybe there woulda been better results if she didnt fall.... and her first triple axel's follow up jump wasn't as smooth nor as stable it was with the afterward jumps..especially in front of the judges...

All of Mao's 3A jumps, without any exception, are cheating jumps.
Besides she can't jump other triple jumps either.
That's not just a mistake. She is NOT able to jump cleanly because of bad posture during long time habit.

Her sit spin wasn't low comparing to other two but she got 2, others got 1.
She looked very tired on her SLSSQ, but many judges give 2,3 and gave Carolina sever score. Yuna's performance didn't look worth 130 to people's eyes.
This is the reason people questioning the scoring system.
I won't say Yna was cheating, cuz I respect all athletes. I want to believe it was just her management if there were any wrong doings.
Please stop here, I hate to compare and pick on athletes.

I think i heard Mao can do QUAD-A or S can KIM do QUAD? i dotn think so Ive seen YUNA's 3A landing but never heard KIM can do QUAD. AS soon as MAO correct her 2 foot landing and prerotation MAo will get more points than Yuna's 3-3 combo !! SO back off crazy yuna fans!!!

I think so, too. It was obvious that they wanted to put Mao down. I feel so sorry for her. Besides, I don't think that it was a good idea to hire this new coach. This new coach is trying to turn her into someone she isn't. She's not appearing as natural on court anymore. But she still skated well enough to win the silver medal, I think. It was very unfair to put her at #4.
I hope she will bounce back next year. Ya Nu Kim is not from another planet!

Well, here you go. There are actually several videos posted by, who else, sorry Japs that deal nothing but "unfair judging by ISU".

And, they moan, cry and complain why Koreans and Chinese people don't love them. ROFL!

Look at any video of Yuna Kim's SP and just listen to the commentators... especially the UK Eurosport one. As they said about Yuna Kim's SP... it deserved a "row of 6s".

if she did her triple axel and her triple+ triple she would have got 14 points higher! Which would have been a silver medal! Mao was never less then 3rd in any international competition until this one. I hope this will make her want the olympic more and work harder ( she works harder already then any other skater ) and win the gold ( if possible ) It was very close between her and Miki, Rochette!!

yunas sp was head and tails better than mao and i am a huge mao fan. yuna has finesse and confidence and skates from the heart. her score was well deserved.

yes... she did better AFTER she FELL -__-.... maybe there woulda been better results if she didnt fall.... and her first triple axel's follow up jump wasn't as smooth nor as stable it was with the afterward jumps..especially in front of the judges...
