  • brek shea can make it to arsenal becuse gervinho is going to the african cup of nation

  • @agnelo000 Arsenal have plenty of other players, that are better than him.Who are not going to the African cup. This guys not even a Arsenal player yet.If he ever does sign for them.

  • @agnelo000 Myiachi?

  • Shea has trained with Arsenal big deal.So did Steven Naismith when he was at Kilmarnock. They never signed him, much to Rangers relieve. He could get European football with us,and a game every week.If he is good enough. And earn a move to the EPL when he is ready.Like Reyna did when with us.Bocanegra and Edu are in our team every week. And Bedoya will be when he settles.Rangers are a huge club.

  • @InvincibleForeverNL im just finished dc united's academy and was just placed on their reserve team but still

a soccer player that brags is NOT a good soccer player

  • Beckerman? WTF?? He not only does not have the ball skill to play holding midfielder at the international level, but he's also too slow.

  • @dudesterlo

Ha! Derek has talked about how slow beckerman is many times over...

  • @dudesterlo ....yeah....and if he's holding mid, you'd need to have him be able to press forward for a shot once in a while under klingie's system, and i don't see him screaming a knuckle-ball to the upper window.... plus, i enjoy seeing our "bad-boy" jones holding mid....one day he's gonna' punch a mexican...

  • I think it all depends on which team Shea goes to it will depend his playing time. Maybe he should go to a team like Everon, Aston Villa or Fulham.

  • @MMAmachinhead92 Who says he will get a game at those teams?Look at Eddie Johnston when he was at Fulham. He is a young guy.He has to prove himself first. Before he earns a move there.

  • The thing is American players who move to Europe are always used as subs. I don't know if clubs believe American players are only usable as subs and not starters. Clint Dempsey started as a sub and then became Fulham's most needed (and famous) player. Then, though, you get players like Freddy Adu and Jozy Altidore who never got to see playing time and were bounced from team to team.

  • Some procedure: US media calls someone a hot prospect in soccer - The guy goes to Europe doesn`t feel comfortable because he isn`t treated like a star and returns to save haven MLS where he is celebrated and treated like a world class player.

Right now european teams only want US players because of marketing reasons

  • Shea is a very good player in MLS. He will never be a star in Europe though. He doesn't have nearly enough pace or close control.

  • Yeah Agudelo has some imaginative play but lately he hasnt been doing anything with NY. Bunbury and Altidore at top or Dempsey and Altidore.

  • hello. when can we expect your review of 9/2 USa v Costa Rica?

  • I was really disappointed last night. I'm sure the team what they could but it is still a crap way to lose keeping up pressure and then getting punked on one run. Hope to her your review soon

  • Howard

    Spector-Ream-Bocanegra-Lichaj

    Shea-Donovan-Dempsey-Rogers

    Altidore-Agudelo

    How it should be.

  • Breck Shea the only talented U.S player along side Donavan..If he doesn't go to europe he should come to Tigres Monterrey..

  • lmao Agudelo not playing well with the red bulls cuz HANS BACKE BRINGS HIM OFF THE BENCH!!! Agudelo blows Bunbury by

  • @Horrorsquadlive

Mr. Horror: Agudelo's played 1164 minutes this season over 20 games. That's 58 minutes a game on average. I don't care when he comes on--when he does, he needs to PRODUCE. I think that's what the guys are saying here.

  • @dwreck1971 Good call on Bunbury getting playing time over Agudelo :). Oh wait he never played. Good thing Jurgen or Bradley agree with you

  • "Take that you Jozy haters"

Lol, gotta admit, I was, and slightly still am a hater. Until he shows what he can do for USMNT like he's doing now for AZ, then i'll stop hatin'

  • @AmandaWithLov3

That statement was kind of a joke directed at themselves--while I wouldn't describe them as haters, Derek especially has been pretty critical of Jozy's time in Europe and on the US Nats.

  • Hey what about a 4-3-3 with Donovan as a LW, and Robbie Rogers on the right, or use Shea instead of Rogers and move Shea to the left. You could put Dempsey, and Torres in a more advanced MF role, and then use Edu or Beckerman in the CDM role. I like the back four stated earlier. Donovan should be given free roaming ability throughout the attack.

  • Rumor was that Everton are already interested. Probably not Man City, Arsenal or Tottenham (Harry Redknapp isn't a big fan of American field players). But let's see if SHea continues his roll. If he does, who knows.... The league with the most teams interested in him come winter transfer is the bundesliga.

  • LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @hydra102090

    Thank you hydra!

  • @dwreck1971

If Brek Shea goes to the EPL could you see him play for a team like Man City, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, or Everton?

  • Jeff Larentowicz has a soul!

  • Dempsey won't be playing in Costa Rica game. He'll join the team for the 2nd game.

  • michael bradley is close to Chievo....seems like a decent team for the guy. i'm sure he'll start every week.

serie is a good league, one of the best in the world. also, chievo's nickname is the flying donkey's!!! lol!
