@agnelo000 Arsenal have plenty of other players, that are better than him.Who are not going to the African cup. This guys not even a Arsenal player yet.If he ever does sign for them.
Shea has trained with Arsenal big deal.So did Steven Naismith when he was at Kilmarnock. They never signed him, much to Rangers relieve. He could get European football with us,and a game every week.If he is good enough. And earn a move to the EPL when he is ready.Like Reyna did when with us.Bocanegra and Edu are in our team every week. And Bedoya will be when he settles.Rangers are a huge club.
@dudesterlo ....yeah....and if he's holding mid, you'd need to have him be able to press forward for a shot once in a while under klingie's system, and i don't see him screaming a knuckle-ball to the upper window.... plus, i enjoy seeing our "bad-boy" jones holding mid....one day he's gonna' punch a mexican...
@MMAmachinhead92 Who says he will get a game at those teams?Look at Eddie Johnston when he was at Fulham. He is a young guy.He has to prove himself first. Before he earns a move there.
The thing is American players who move to Europe are always used as subs. I don't know if clubs believe American players are only usable as subs and not starters. Clint Dempsey started as a sub and then became Fulham's most needed (and famous) player. Then, though, you get players like Freddy Adu and Jozy Altidore who never got to see playing time and were bounced from team to team.
Some procedure: US media calls someone a hot prospect in soccer - The guy goes to Europe doesn`t feel comfortable because he isn`t treated like a star and returns to save haven MLS where he is celebrated and treated like a world class player.
Right now european teams only want US players because of marketing reasons
If this guy was any good.He would have been bought bye a English championship club before the window.Or my team Glasgow Rangers in Scotland would have bid for him.My team likes to sign Americans. Both leagues are a great shop window to the EPL.For any young player
I was really disappointed last night. I'm sure the team what they could but it is still a crap way to lose keeping up pressure and then getting punked on one run. Hope to her your review soon
Mr. Horror: Agudelo's played 1164 minutes this season over 20 games. That's 58 minutes a game on average. I don't care when he comes on--when he does, he needs to PRODUCE. I think that's what the guys are saying here.
That statement was kind of a joke directed at themselves--while I wouldn't describe them as haters, Derek especially has been pretty critical of Jozy's time in Europe and on the US Nats.
Hey what about a 4-3-3 with Donovan as a LW, and Robbie Rogers on the right, or use Shea instead of Rogers and move Shea to the left. You could put Dempsey, and Torres in a more advanced MF role, and then use Edu or Beckerman in the CDM role. I like the back four stated earlier. Donovan should be given free roaming ability throughout the attack.
Rumor was that Everton are already interested. Probably not Man City, Arsenal or Tottenham (Harry Redknapp isn't a big fan of American field players). But let's see if SHea continues his roll. If he does, who knows.... The league with the most teams interested in him come winter transfer is the bundesliga.
brek shea can make it to arsenal becuse gervinho is going to the african cup of nation

Beckerman? WTF?? He not only does not have the ball skill to play holding midfielder at the international level, but he's also too slow.

I think it all depends on which team Shea goes to it will depend his playing time. Maybe he should go to a team like Everon, Aston Villa or Fulham.

Shea is a very good player in MLS. He will never be a star in Europe though. He doesn't have nearly enough pace or close control.

Yeah Agudelo has some imaginative play but lately he hasnt been doing anything with NY. Bunbury and Altidore at top or Dempsey and Altidore.

@finchty Almost... USA should utilize Stu Holden. How about Holden starting with Rogers coming on as a sub if speed is needed?

Lol, gotta admit, I was, and slightly still am a hater. Until he shows what he can do for USMNT like he's doing now for AZ, then i'll stop hatin'
