@Dooke80 lol That's my favorite part of the opening! I think it's genius that they censored her shooting something, and she looks so serious as she does it... It's quite a contrast since there isn't a censor whenever she shoots her gun and she always seems to look estatic when shooting someone. I love animes that are drinking, smoking, sex, and killing people on the surface, but are so much more than that when you get into it.

The engravings on her Beretta are Thai, which is unique, I wonder why the animators decided on that motif. I haven't watched this series yet, but I think it gives the main character a very exotic feel. Also, Calico Jack's jolly-roger is a great touch, it makes me feel like this woman kicks hard ass and takes whatever the fuck she wants. :D

I just thought of what Revy reminds me of! She's the old fashioned Tomb Raider. All sex appeal with some dual pistols, and some mean added in. I'm not downing her or the series exactly. I'm just trying to catagorize the anime before I watch it. I prefer story based, character driven, (usually) romance animes rather than full action. Sometimes though you have to put down the "Godfather" and put in some "Die Hard" to keep yourself interested.

Now this is just a first glance observation since I haven't seen the anime and only read about the series on wikipedia so far, but isn't Revy just a really bitchy version of Spike from Cowboy Bebop? I think of Revy as if you were to combine Spike with Fey, and added a bit of psychotic bitch to the concoction. She may have emotions and some character, but who gives a fuck if she's pointing a gun in your face. Tell me what you fans think of her other than badass, awesome, or hot.

Much in the series made no sense. for example, Revy is a 'master gunslinger', yet she fails to hit the psycho-girl in episode 17, why? because the girl is "holding a chainsaw", so she hits the chainsaw instead. -.-'

@DragonRoost1 It's been a while since i saw the series. But from what i remember, Revy didn't change very much. She simply warmed up to Rock(wich was mutual). And since he's the main-character, so did we as an audience. I suppose Revy's personality could have had a slight alternation to something more humanistic. But from what I remembered she was a bitch all through. As for Rock, I don't remember much. All i remember is that he was boring, being constantly own'd by kids and whatnot :P

Imo Elfen Lied treated all subects with more "respect"(not sure if thats a fitting word for what im trying to get across :P). Black Lagoon on the other hand, felt really "unnatural". More like if someone took a bunch of episode from some "random shounen anime" and decided to add a whole lot of mature content.
