  • by far the best slideshow i've seen on youtube, good job on this and the hunt.

i bet the little ones can'T wait to go hunting with thier grandpa one day :)

  • @chefjayson1979

The Grandkids hunt with us now. The Grandson took a huge cow elk on his first day with a bow on his first hunt that he was able to actually able to be the hunter. We have a video of that elk on our site and on the Tube.

  • @RandomConcepts

Eating them is the real ticket to winning. No point in hunting if you don't eat the chemical free meat. Much better than the stuff sold in the cute white Styrofoam package with the petroleum based plastic wrap.

  • Nice video :)

  • @Espmell

    Thank you

  • That was a great vid! Thanks. We got a couple tags ready to go for a long weekend up here in Canada... can't wait. There will be some work to do!

  • Congratulations on the Bull Moose. FYI- 6:15 in you called it an elk,,, we forgive you. I think I'll start putting in for a tag. Would love to have you lend a hand when the time comes.

  • @uetubester

The elk thing was a test, you passed. Keep me in mind for your hunt, I may be able to make it.

  • awesome best regards from canada

  • he says biggest elk they have ever seen? in 20 years of processing

  • Thanks Dude!

  • Newfie you should post a link to the pictures of Your moose. I would like to see them.

  • No offence but where is the trophy Moose? thats not even that big,but still a nice one....good job

  • HAHA i dont know why but i was so entertained with the video :)

  • Amen. Just got my biggest deer ever and my 12 year old Grandson, the one on the video, just got his first elk. 1 shot at 20 yards with his bow. 184 Pounds of meat trimmed from the cow. That's huge. Will be posting video after the hunt ends.

  • Starz, why dont you find a veggie video to watch . peaceful carrorts and such. The rabbit eats the lettuce and i eat the rabbit and i shoot them with a judo tip with my mathews , not just them ,elk, antelope, cute deer and you know they all look real good next to tators and what do you know..veggies. So God Bless America and our rights to hunt and bear arms

  • GOOD VID

  • job well done. there's alot involved in harvesting a moose. glad to see the kids being exposed to the great outdoors

  • Star is a testimonial for how stupid and misguided so many of these brainwashed commies there are in amongst us. It serves as a reminder and warning for us to be sure to vote and keep our elected officials accountable to those of us that believe in the Constitution.

  • why dont you remove star-assholes comments?

  • the reason you dont have a rifle is because your to pussy to use one you fucking fairy stupis tree hugger no one cares what you say,

P.S . nice vidoe man congrats

  • yayo

  • Congratulations! I thought this video was tastefully narrated and thoughtfully edited. While I prefer hunting using a camera(images/pictures have little nutritional value) ; moose meat is by far the healthiest choice for humans who choose to eat meat. I prefer moose meat to beef knowing that moose live freely and naturally until I am blessed to able to eat it. Thanks for posting this enlightened video narrative.

  • Congratulations for teaching your grandchildren to put meat on the table for themselvs and to learn where meat actualy comes from..is it not ironic that this nut has no respect for what he consumes and the fack a REAL animal had to die to feed him..sadder still is the lack of respect for himself and what he puts in his own body..he is in fact a seroid fed living in a cage animal fed packaged FEED himself...what a waste of an education..Natural Resource Technician Myself he must of studied art

  • Star dude you are an ass you are now banned

  • Btw, I am college educated and well aware of what I am saying. Again, take a look at the endangered species list. How many of those animals got there because humans like to kill for fun? What really seems to set us apart from other animals is our purposeful cruelty and the fact that we enjoy killing things. Dont try to fool anyone by making it seem like you have to hunt to eat. You know damn good and well you are at the grocery store each week like everyone else. You are fooling no one.

  • How does someone colledge educated not relize YES theres a cow in fact theres probably 4 cows out there for that bull ...let the poor bugger keep living his polution causing trucked to the city burning fuel, plastic wraped, canned, fed with petrolium based fertlizer grown ,steroid injected altered ,once wild animals, their wasted ponds flooding streams killing fish and poluting the environment...oh that poor stupid man...wish he could see my freezer and whats in it.... you are what you eat.

  • modern hunters in the U.S. have never caused wildlife species to become extinct, endangered or even threatened. in fact, every game species hunted in the U.S. has increased in number.

  • starz: if you get meat from a grocer, does that make it ok? my deer, elk or any game i harvestl runs free until the moment of impact, wether its a bullet or arrow. the grocer's meat(animal) was caged or fenced in it's whole miserable life waiting to be slaughtered. it dosn't take a college degree to make sense

  • zero animals got on the endangered species list because of LEGALIZED hunting. The number one cause of wildlife and habitat destruction is urbanization. And what college teaches you that hunting is bad?

  • where do you think the grocery store gets their food from starz?

  • Ahhhh tree huggers aren't they the best people? They say hunting is wrong and then proceed to watch hunting videos and comment on them from the comfort of their homes. Guess what people? most of the food in your fridge right now was alive at one time hmmm... did you hunt it? No chances are you didn't but someone killed it for you and you'll end up eating it tonight or sometime this week. So stop posting stupid comments.

  • he has to be a troll to post things that stupid..who replaces the moose lol try to read that without laughing its impossible. probably 4 cows with a bun in the oven for that bull lol the smaller bulls in that area definatly got some that night ...dont you love how people who understand nothing are the ones with the loudest voice condeming... glad for this i needed a laugh tonight

"meat raised for that purpose" lmfao the biggest polluter and user of petro chemicals in the world factory farms

  • YOUTUBE NEW WORLD ORDER!!!

  • hmm did you drag that moose down backwards?

  • congrats on the moose i wish people like starzfan would go die because most people know that hunting is a way to keep populations controlled so they dont die of starvation and hunting with a rifle is a fast deathso they dont feel a thing so once again congrats on the moose to bad its not a video but its still cool

  • Seems to me that nature was able to very well control the populations of these animals without the help of rifles or bows. Oh yes, thats right, we are the ones that fucked up the ecosystem, removed their breeding grounds, killed all their natural predators. So, now, wussies with high powered rifles get to play mother nature. Congrats on that, hope it makes ya feel fulfilled.

  • even more fulfilling is the high protien no colestorol healthiest meat in the world in my freezer......always get a kick out of you wackos out of touch with reality...now doddle off and fix a frezer to store farm raised polution causing meat for the idiot masses where you belong ..if you dont belive in people putting food on the table for themselves but perfer to support the petro chemical based process of the masses dont watch!!!!

  • Even more ignorant are people like yourself who try to hide their love of killing animals as a way to survive and eat. Give it a rest cowboy. Look at the title of the video, trophy moose hunt. Also known as, "lets kill it so we can hang its head on our wall". So, honestly, the trigger happy "wacko" would be you as I dont like to run around and kill things so I can display their preserved heads.

  • no ignorant is commenting on a video without watching it....they take it to the processors wise ass..of course you would call it a trophy because that size animal is a trophy

  • a WACKO is someone so against something even though they have no understanding of it.hey dont even watch what happens before condeming and commenting...

  • I watched what happened, and I still I say its wrong. The wacko is the person who thinks he is a man because he has the ability to blow an innocent animal away for no more reason than making it a trophy. An animal that large is a natural wonder, NOT a trophy for some selfish hunter to take home and brag about. Btw jeremyfoote77, I am not a tree hugger, and the meat I eat is raised for that purpose. Did someone raise this moose? Will it be replaced after someone takes it home? idiot.

  • wow man your out there..you would rather eat an anamial raised standing in its own fecies full of colestorol than a freerange animal far healthier that has lived a good life and that in no way is endangered. Think thats actualy worse than a pure treehugger i can almost respect someone who dosent eat ANY animal..your just ill informed and confused and spewing venom for no reason....wow it definatly takes all kinds...and YES it will be replaced who replaces the cows are you that daft???

  • The cows i eat are raised... so its guaranteed that they will be replaced,, others raised. Can you guarantee me that there is a female moose out there to replace that magnificent animal you killed for fun? I think not. As for being a troll, whatever you say. At least Im not a pussy with a rifle killing something that cant defend itself. Come try to shoot at me, I shoot back. Sport hunters are all idiots with the mental abilities of cavemen.

  • You need to understand that one cow, doe, sow, etc. is worth at least five bulls, bucks, boars, etc. Taking one male isn't going to endanger them mr. college-educated.

  • starzfan31 i have seen that name multiple times on several hunting videos if you dont like hunting stop watching hunting videos remember you have no one to blame but yourself cause your the dumbass who keeps pressing play oh and if you ever get the chance to eat a moose steak try it you will want to fill your freezer with dead moose and to the guy who shot this vid and moose congrats i know the feeling of getting drawn in a area that everyone wants some times its better than the hunt

  • Hunting with a high powered rifle. Takes a biggggg man to sit a hundred or more yards away and blow away a moose. For what? So you can hang a dead animals head on a wall. The whole thing sickens me. Sad that man gets pleasure from killing things.

  • Yes, lets run around killing off animals who did nothing but live in the wild. Humans are the worst thing to ever happen out to this planet. Sad.

  • your the worst thing to happen to the world and other anti hunters like you....nothing better to do then sit on the computer and bitch about something that doesnt effect you at all....at least we are out in the wild living our life to the fullest

  • And of course, it doesnt effect me. People who like to kill animals til they are extinct effect all of us. So keep on killing, Its what us humans do best. Congrats on the collection of dead animal heads on your walls, thats so attractive.

  • A - when the hell are deer gonna go extinct?...

B - i love all my deer and bear and turkey mounts i got.....its sexy....

  • Comment removed

  • oh and ps those were iron sights from what i so....not the easiest thing to accomplish when making a long shot

  • Hey archersfriend, great video. I really like the way you did the whole thing. I have a butcher shop here in Canada, and appreciate hunters that take proper care of their meat. Jerky, sausage. cubasa, smokies, pepperonis, the list goes on. Only bad thing is now I'm to busy to hunt. A lot of guys are not allowing idiots to comment on their vids. I respect even their opinions, but we would appreciate the same courtesy. Its impossible to beat the taste of a good moose roast.

  • yea its true this moose would not even measuer up to a western alaskan yukon moose

  • ur a dumbass elk is the name that ppl in europe call moose

  • Milambers2

if you dont like it why the hell would you watch it in the first place. your a fucking idiot. and that is an amazing moose congrats i hope i can bag me one like that this year! awsome video great pictures.

  • Congratulations Milambers2,

YOU HAVE JUST EARNED YOURSELF A REFERRAL TO HOMELAND SECURITY FOR MAKING A TERRORISTIC THREAT.

  • You've got a big fuckin' mouth for a Brit that knows nothing of the way Americans manage their wildlife. That was a once in a lifetime tag, and only fifteen are drawn annually, not many of which are filled. And this is part of natural selection, humans are as much of a part of nature as any other animal, and to say we're not is to deny your own humanity. If you don't like hunting videos then don't watch them. If you don't live here, you don't know shit!

  • ha ha ha you call it a elk at 6:03

  • Great video. Enjoyed watching it.

  • excellent video!

  • lol 6:02.

  • That bull is simply whimpy compaired to Alaskan moose !

I have guided hunters in Alaska 14 years and never would we shot a moose that small because it is Illegal to shot small moose that size under 50' spread and less than 3 brow tines.

This guy has never hunted Alaska to make a comment like that .

Alaskan Yukon moose are the largest of all moose .

Most of the moose my hunters have killed are 65" to 78" spread in Alaska .

  • no body really give a shit

  • That's because an animals size is relative to the type of forrage and most importantly the climate to where they live. exe small deer in florida large deer in Illinois. Your a real hero for bashing another outdorsman.

  • my dad and i got a bull moose this year, it was 11 by 13 points. my first moose. and first time skinning and gutting. (fun) well thanks for that story.

  • i wish i could stab a moose...

  • Excellent video, even though it was just still pictures. The narration of the hunter was awesome, I almost felt like I was there with him. I am glad that you were able to fulfill your dream hunt archersfriend. Beautiful bull moose!

  • great hunt. nothing wrong with hunting herbivores

i just don't like it when people use it as an excuse to purge predator populations. predators don't even kill healthy adults that often. as far as i'm concerned, weeding out the weak ones is a good thing

  • Nice job! A once in a lifetime tag! Wow. NIce moose, really nice. I have only seen one, but it was waaaaaaaaaaay smaller than that haha.

  • Moose and elk are the top of the line meat in wild game as far as I am concerned. Moose (unless an old bull) is tender because they hardly ever run. They just mostly walk and eat.

The elk run a lot so there is more muscle and a bit tougher. Still mighty fine eatin though.

  • I just wonder how moose meat taste ?

  • you should see my dads 52 incher

  • Beautiful story and BEAUTIFUL Bull there.. Thank You very much for sharing with us...

  • an elk lol

  • thanks for posting this video!

  • To the IDIOT below. Yes I eat what I shoot. I process my own sausage and make my own jerky. I posted a great video on it for those that are interested. As far as Karma goes, because we are great hunters and take care of our (everyone's RENEWABLE RESOURCES (animals for the common sense challenged such as the IDIOT below)), we were blessed with a extremely large cow elk this hunt so far. We also expect to get 2 deer and 2 more cow elk. And yes, we will eat all of it.

  • Thanks for showing.Nice bull. I,m from B.C. Canada and I do alot of hunting. Moose are vegitarians so they must be good to eat(lol).

  • Are you gonna eat that? Naahh... just needed a trophy 'cause your dick is so tiny, huh? This ain't hunting! "Hunting" is killing for food. This is both senseless and cowardly.

There is a cure for impotence asshole, you don't need to kill to regain your lost manhood or justify your meaningless existence. Sadly, the just laws of KARMA will now reward you with a nice prostate cancer.

  • YOU NEED 2 GET A LIFE if you dont like hunting why do you watch the videos... GUESS WAT I LOVE PETA PEAPLE EAT TASTY ANIMALS

  • excellent slideshow and story. nice kill. happy hunting

  • onlymerk yes you may think that the most of society thinks hunting is barbaric but if thats true why isnt there one person on my road or even my town that won't come pat me on the back when they see a 200 lb deer or a 900 lb moose hanging in the barn? Most of these haters you speak of simply don't understand how great we are to animals and also the environment. Note to add most of society are scavengers, eating what other beings kill. But i, i and this nice man in the video, we are predators.

  • We have the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights that we EARNED by wipping your Limie ancester's asses back in the 1700's.

  • amen brother

  • no need for racism

    on both sides

  • what is it with you yanks and killing-you trigger happy dickheads.wot right u got to take life like you own it.Ill hunt you down

  • IT's not just the Yanks that hunt. Us Canucks do alot of hunting as well. It doesn't make us all trigger happy killers. Hunting in North America is part of our heritage. Members of my family fought and died in WW2 to preserve it. If your pissed cause your not allowed to hunt there you should take it up wih your queen. "Man can not live on fish and chips alone" Cheers mate!

  • I have a Dr. friend from Newfoundland and he is always talking about the amount of game there. It is just too expensive to go that far for us.

  • You wanna hunt moose in Canada, try Newfoundland, the population is estimated to be 125,000 moose on the island portion alone.

  • congratulations my dad had a bull tag he didnt get one.....but his friend bagged a nice 13-13

  • I have not been to Canada yet, so I do not have any information about outfitters. From the comments on this video, Canada appears to be a great place for moose. Check through the comments and ask some of the hunters from there.

  • At minnut 9 u said it was the biggest elk thay had ever seen buddy its a mosse

  • Thanks for sharing your story and video. We enjoyed it. You did a great job.

  • sweet vid and dont listen to them people like the one that is 2 above me......

  • Congrats on the moose. It's tasty meat. We hunt lots of it here in Canada. You should come up and give it a try if you haven't already.

  • ammazing video......all these ather people bashing you are all fagg...and they sould all go back to there city!

  • sadly everyone bashing you probably eats beef and think you just hunt for a trophy.

It's the thrill, the experience, the adventure and...ofcourse a months worth of food. I see trophys as more of a souvenir.

I don't have the patience to bash on youtube kiddies that don't know what they're poking their head into, so i'll leave it at that

  • nice.. a hunter on youtube

  • A tag or permit is the paper document that is proof to law enforcement or anyone else that the person who's name is on the permit or tag is allowed to legally take a specific animal in a specific area with a specific weapon in the state.

  • Excuse me, but what is a tag u were talking about?

  • Im glad you got your moose, but I am sorry , next time, don't be so long, dragging, and monotone. What should have been enjoyable(if you are a fellow hunter) was the most boring thing I have ever seen. Blah Blah Blah.

  • Bullshit!U.r.a.discrase!

  • dude you're an idiot

  • thats an amazing rack! great job at getting the bull!

I disagree with those people who are belly-aching about 'murdering'. Waste not, and if you can get a nice wall hanging out of it then you might as well!

  • Ok, eating what you kill is better. But killing for Trophy, or for a "Sport" is evil.

If I went out and shot you, then hung your head on the wall, do you think that would make a good Trophy? Ohh but wait, it's ok If I eat you. That makes it right dosn't it??

-.- hopefully you got the sarcasm.

  • ok i want you to go out and go idk 20 feet or until a bull sees you he will pierce his rack through your torso ripping out your lungs so its not like there defensless

  • Some people just can not read, hear, or understand hunting or culling the old, but they keep watching the videos.

  • thats what i say nice bull congrats man good lob

  • so you harvest the strong and leave the weak to breed

  • I love you video....excellent narration!

    Very useful info. thank you

  • that sucks balls we dont have draws for moose tags we just go out every year and get one

  • Where do you live? Sounds like you have intellegent people running your Fish and Game program.

  • hes prolly from a res, they get to do whatever they want.

  • We always eat what we kill. We only give portions or sausage to friends as a gift. Moose is just as good as elk. They are the premium wild game as far a I am concerned.

  • did u eat the meat what u do with it?? moose is good hav u ever tryed it? good hunt

  • Very nice one. I am from NB Canada and i got one last year it was a 6-6. Congragulations!

  • agreed. (rednecks, arn't the only murderers.)

  • nice moose

  • at 3:43 the moose looks like he is going to attack the camera

  • great hunt tag used very wisely congrads

  • Hi rdpayne,

You made a lot of assumptions, that is a bad habit. I "wanted" the meat and actually do eat what I kill. I do not think of hunting as a sport, it is hunting, an act and classification of its own.

If you served in "Nam" or anywhere else, thank you for the service to your country, but I do not think that killing people is a sport. It is sometimes necessary to kill people to preserve one's life or the way of life for others, that again is not a sport, it is a fact of life.

  • Glad you got your once in a liftime shot way to go.

  • nice moose...but ou should come out o saskatchwean or alberta and see some of our moose...and sask has some awesome muel dear and white tail zones to hunt in... either way still awesome bull and congrats...and i got a hunting trip this thursday...muel dear and white tail..i cant wait

  • The correct answer is that it taste like MOOSE. Moose and Elk taste better than deer or antelope to me, but the real key to great tasting game is what happens after it is taken.

How the meat is taken care of and how it is processed can either make it wonderful or the worst tasting and smelling mess you have ever been around.

Also, ambriehl88. What do your or your parents "murder" in order for you to keep living?

  • What does it taste like? Beef or Elk or what?

  • In order to legally hunt in most western states, one must "apply" for a permit or tag. It amounts to a lottery and gambling since one must pay to enter the "drawing" then pay the price of the tag if one is chosen.

  • How does this ''tag'' system work?

  • Nice Video : D

  • nice video mate!

  • omg u said it was a elk and u want us to think u ment to say it ( i think u thought it was a elk )

  • morron ... obviously he knew it was a moose

  • love your moose.. maybe someday we will have a lottery in place to hunt the moose here in NY.. lot of credit for doing the hunt yourself I wouldnt know what to do with such a large animal LOL the deer here just about kill me dragging them out of the woods

  • murderer

  • Just what the hell do YOU eat. Squash, sea weed, apples? No different, you kill something to eat. I just happen to like meat that is not full of chemicals and it is a replenishable food source.

This moose was in his last years, he would have died of old age and not benefited anyone or anything.

  • don't waste your time on these fools.

    Nice one!

  • I am vegeterian

    my brother died from lepresy

  • I agree that your a murderer. what if i killed one of your guy's dog and said it was a good tag! old people always hunt!

  • are you that stupid really? Leave the man alone. Im young and i hunt. so what. And i dare you to kill my dog:) take your best shot. But for the record, any type of kevlar you might wear as a precaution will not save you...

  • I normally butcher my own animals, but with something that will be mounted and this being a once in a lifetime tag here, I did not want to screw up the cape. Also, it was 150 miles to get to the processor, so, we decided to take the whole animal.

  • Very nice animal. Congratulations!

I have never tired to take a whole moose to the processor (butcher) - that must have been one huge undertaking. We always quarter and skin the animal and bag the quarters in cheese cloth so they can cool and be kept clean. The bull I killed this fall would have weighed well over a 1000 lbs but the quarters weighing 150 to 200 lbs each make for reasonably easy handling.

    Ron C. Ontario, Can.

  • Would you believe we just threw that elk comment in to see if how many folks would catch it? Anyway, thanks for all the views and comments.

  • Nice Elk! That's what he said....I hope he knows the difference. Maybe he drew an Elk take & shot a Moose....

  • haha at about 6 minutes in he says "no one has seen an ELK this nice"

  • nice bull

  • thats a cow

  • nice moose i shot my first moose, 9 by 9, 4 days ago and i'm 13

  • i got one, two week ago . 14 by 14 in maine im 15

  • i shot my first moose yesterday :). and im only fourteen. the paddles were only a little bigger than the second pic in this vid.

  • you mine as well go shoot some cows in a barn it's probably just as hard.

  • You obviously no not of what you speak....

  • My comment below "You obviously no not of what you speak" was in reply to Nomadicjazz23's uniformed post of one month ago. I mistakenly thought it would appear associated with that dumb comment.

  • Men I wish I shoot you down like you did with a mose!!!

  • Men I wish I English speak like you good!

  • nice moose me, my dad, and my brothers almost got a moose just like that holy man it was a trophy nice rack and huge took up the whole road i was amazed and scared cuz i waqs like 13, and tslk sbout the one that got aaway man it was a nice moose thats all i can saylol well bye and nie moose:)

  • Hey anyone that has hunting videos should put them on Hunting Footage . com . Because hunting footage filters out people who make dumb comments on how unethic hunting is unethical and bad when it really a good thing.

  • great animal ,awesome story and hunt for sure .

One small problem i hear is the animal in question is a moose not an elk like it was refered to at the ending of the hunt lol .

An honest mistake when your excited for sure .

  • Nice vid and you did a great job in preparing for your hunt. I also appreciate the fact that you not only respect the animal, but respect the hunting laws. Bravo!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Trapper, that's great! Amen to that!!! Hunting is pure, and natural, and the meat is better for you. You're not getting any of those chemicals and shit that farmed animals have.

  • Shame on you!! You shouldn't shoot those poor beautiful animals!

  • Should i use a bow?

  • um.... beautiful? Moose are pretty fucking ugly to me, but whatever floats your boat.

  • good work on your video, good hunting
