  • See how Ross treated Arnel here?,that is why i love JOURNEY.,not only bec. of their amazing music butbec of how they are all wonderful persons to Arnel. MORE POWER TO YOU JOURNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I will buy all your records.

  • plis traducir al español

  • Wow!!! Boy, did Journey find not only the vocals in Arnel, He truly delivers for the band!

  • wow..i just notice in the first part where they will all going to sit and Arnel offer the sit to the other guy because he doesn't want to sit in the middle..so humble of him..

  • Keep rockin' Arnel and Journey!...you're doing great guys...

  • arnel is so nice, no wonder WHY he got the job... its indeed a GREAT BLESSING...

  • @sheen...While my loyalty will always be with Perry, I agree that Arnel seems like an amazing person, a classy, professional musician, and a wonderful, decent human being with a lot of talent. I wish him all the best. If he puts out a solo album, I would love to get it.

  • Godbless you.. steve perry will remain steve perry and even arnel is very humble to say that... He is in the history of journey..

present: arnel is here to keep the journey's pride and LEGACY ALIVE!!!!!

  • arnel is just humble

  • one requirement-try to sound like Perry. Gee, why is that? Because people wanted to hear PERRY!----- coz, if you put axl rose in there it wouldn't sound like journey but guns n' roses. stupid!!!!

  • Interesting that Jon Cain had to throw in a dig about Steve Perry not wanting to tour in Europe-read Perry's Fan Asylum interview of Feb.3, 2005 where he says he really enjoyed touring in 'Japan and in Europe'. Looks like Cain just couldn't resist a little petty vindictiveness-sounds more like he was upset because without Perry, no one wanted to see or hear HIM in Europe-and still wouldn't if Arnel wasn't able to sound like Perry on the cover songs.

  • You know, when you talk to AP, he almost whispers because he really saves his voice.

  • Funny how when Steve Perry needed to do the same thing, Schon disrespected him and accused him of being antisocial. Bit of a double standard going there!

  • @gluchnurse

Steve Perry just hated doing interviews.

  • @METAL-not sure why you think that. Sure, I doubt that having to say the same thing 10 times over to a different TV or magazine reporter was the favorite activity for anyone. But he was the most articulate of all of them, well spoken, thoughtful, with perhaps the exception of Valory. Schon still sounds like he's in junior high. And if you look at the GQ interview of 2 years ago they talked for almost an hour, the Canadian radio interview this summer, almost 1/2 hour-not sure I can agree with you

  • Wow...

    Two interviews. Bravo.

  • @metal. Do a little historical research...Interviews almost yearly with fan asylum, Rob Evans in the U.K., Dennis Miller, Rockline, Tiger Beat, Good Morning America, etc., etc., etc. During every televised interview, he was the 'point person' for the band. He clearly handled himself beautifully in interviews, and gave intelligent, well-thought out, often humorous answers. Neither you nor I are in his head, so who is to say if he 'liked' interviews-but he certainly, did lots of them very well!

  • He is really amazing singer & humble.

  • Thats not Bon Jovi's old bass player is it??

  • News for you Steve Perry cannot sing anymore. This was mentioned by their former manager in an interview. It's good that he retired while he's still at his peak. But I notice his voice deteriorating when I watched him live singing Stone in Love in 1994-95 concert. You can see it for yourself just search Steve Perry- Stone in Love.

  • Sorry-but Trial by Fire was recorded in 1996-and his voice was so wonderful that he and Journey got a Grammy nomination "When You Love a Woman'-which totally disproves your contention that he lost his voice. Also, check out his backup tracks for David Pack in 2004-beautiful! Randy Jackson this year that his voice is still gorgeous-and he is definitely reported in various reputable sites-including his own July interview, as recording again. Any singer can have an off night-colds, etc.

  • don't worry, not much would react. it's just nostalgia tripping.

  • why i s it always mr ego and mr righteous talkinn all the time and slaggin there main money maker off(steve perry) and for gods sake give ap a chance to get a word in edge of the blade

  • Again it's AOK for AP to save his voice. He really doesn't need to talk at any press conference but he does need to sing at the top of his lungs for the concerts. It's obvious AP is content to just enjoy being with the group.

  • understandable! he rocks Journey

  • scarf?? nice design! enjoy your time in journey man.

  • Arnel could be protecting his throat. It must be very difficult and worrisome for a singer to make sure his voice is always ok.

  • arnel u are really amazing you always keep humbling yourself.stay that way and God will do the rest and the best for you.take care of yourself

  • great journey is awesome and the new guy arnel did a superb job

  • waaa di ko lam ito ...sayang di ako nka punta ...

  • Steve Perry doesn't like to go to Europe! ...

I wonder why?....oh well we don't like him either here in Europe!

  • Sorry, but in interview Perry said exactly the opposite! That he loved touring Europe and Japan when asked about some of his favorite places he's played. So don't believe all the sour grapes you hear from band members who apparently resented that they couldn't get anybody to listen to them without Perry-or someone who could sound like him.Every singer they've gotten since then has had to have one requirement-try to sound like Perry. Gee, why is that? Because people wanted to hear PERRY!

  • Deen Castronovo was so quiet but I like him because he definitely can sing at the same time playing drums...

  • He was amizing singing keep on rockin

  • Where was the press conferences held?

  • say.... Arnt they the best or WHAT?!?!

  • biggest record sale since Steve left the band....amazing!!! No further...

  • JOURNEY is truly amazing!... you guys continue ROCKIN' the world!!!! ROSS the showman.. DEEN the thunder drummer... JONATHAN the bright rocker.. NEAL the guitar god.. and!.. ARNEL the REVELATION!!!

  • One of the best rock band in the world

  • I am a new Journey fan from Japan.

I really love them rocking!! Please

come back here for a another concert.!

    Onegai shimasu.

  • @777aquamarine pinag uuto mo pa kmi! pinoy ka naman, ogag!

  • Escape album...only 10 yrs old then.. I'm sorry guys...LOL

  • Arnel would have actually been 13, but you have to admit, it was a funny little jab he got in on the guys. Shows me Arnel has some even-footing amongst the gods of Journey. Good for him!

  • Rock on, Journey!!!

  • aw, banzai journey! aiteru arnel

  • Arnel, the golden boy with a golden voice.

  • After All These Years went to number one! Arnel really made a difference for this band. He is a legit international rock star. What a way to emerge from SP's shadow! Congrats Journey.

  • Journey - the best!

  • ARNEL PINEDA rocks!
