To those who hate americans SMARTEN UP! Hate their government or leader but you can't hate the people! Remember that at the start of WW2 the US army was about as strong as the Canadian army today and the US was considered a weak and inferior country. Yet the men went to war because they knew they had to for the right reason. The american troops fought professionnaly and efficiently and if at the end of the war they became the super power it's because they earned it not because they wanted it!

I have respect for all the fallen ones, either Germans, japanese, British, ect... The thing I find disgusting is the fact that you claim all the victory as your own. Where is the story about the anzac's, the one of the French, Dutch, Belgians, English in Birma? You know people,World War II was called World War II because more than just France,America, Japan, Germany and Italy was involved.The whole of Europe.Parts of Africa even! Asia,Australia,and so many more nations and continents.Just because these Nations aren't glamorized in movies,books, TV shows, or video games,does not make every valiant soul, from every nation, worthy of recognition. The British Empire owned half of Africa, middle-east, India and Oceania, France owned most of the remaining half of Africa, Italy owned Lybia and Somalia, Canada joined war with the Commonwealth, Australia too, USSR was as large as 2/3 of Asia, Germany conquered almost the whole Europe. What's left? Spain was neutral, as well as all the Central and South America countries. All world covered.

Even World War I it is called "World War" but it was mainly fought in Europe and few battles in Africa. There were Austria - Hungary, Turk and Prussian Empire fighting against British Empire, France, Italy, Russia and Balcan countries. Japan was allied with the entente but fought only few battles
When I heard this on my first Pacific episode, I knew instantly this is a high quality series. It just has the right atmosphere. Now that i've seen all episodes for the second time, it sounds even better.

during the Japanese invasion of the pacific at Papua new guinea the Australian 6th malita company fought the Japanese imperial marine elite navel troops and forced the Japanese right back into the sea. this was for Japan the worst defeat they had suffered during the war. the youngest troop there was only 13 years and here revived the Victoria cross, he received this award for covering the retreat of his squad against advancing Japanese troops his body was found 3 days later. @Tsarbomb117 when MacArthur (not sure is spelled that right) was taking the pacific there were incidents where the japs would (if out of rations) take hunks off of prisoners and keep them alive so the meat wouldn't spoil. if there were not prisoners then they would often pick the person with the most meat on him in the group, gang up on him, and do the same to him.

@kleyo7 It's not so easy, either way. It's not just because Germany wanted to help German people, nor because it was a pure act of aggression. It was the result of a political decision which had humiliated Germany after WW1 and a lot of other factors. As well as the decision of Japan of entering war: they had to do it because of an embargo by USA and Australia which cut their oil and raw materials supplies.
i am italian, and i am ashamed of what we have done for the axis, but remember that it was because of one man in control that we have done what we had to do, I am moslty ashamed though of our uncalled for surrender, even as it may have brought any good, but some people will understand why.... @Greydog550 Oh, yes, I forgot Japan and China. Well China was half occupied by the Japanese Empire, as well as most of the far east (and that's the reason for the embargo by the Commonwealth and USA which led to the war), Japan as I said had most of the pacific under control until late 1942.

@Greydog550 My point is that those were really the only nations involved in the war, and it was named "World War" because the lands owned by those countries simply covered most of the world. Even World War I it is called "World War" but it was mainly fought in Europe and few battles in Africa. There were Austria - Hungary, Turk and Prussian Empire fighting against British Empire, France, Italy, Russia and Balcan countries. Japan was allied with the entente but fought only few battles

When I heard this on my first Pacific episode, I knew instantly this is a high quality series. It just has the right atmosphere. Now that i've seen all episodes for the second time, it sounds even better.
Everything is in it: Honor, sadness, struggle, fear, sacrifice, duty, hope, freedom, To make a track so perfectly fit for it's purpose, I wonder how he does that.

during the Japanese invasion of the pacific at Papua new guinea the Australian 6th malita company fought the Japanese imperial marine elite navel troops and forced the Japanese right back into the sea. this was for Japan the worst defeat they had suffered during the war. the youngest troop there was only 13 years and here revived the Victoria cross, he received this award for covering the retreat of his squad against advancing Japanese troops his body was found 3 days later. @Tsarbomb117 when MacArthur (not sure is spelled that right) was taking the pacific there were incidents where the japs would (if out of rations) take hunks off of prisoners and keep them alive so the meat wouldn't spoil. if there were not prisoners then they would often pick the person with the most meat on him in the group, gang up on him, and do the same to him.

Sweden granted military access for Germany into Sweden and Spain helped Germany giving materials. Hungary,Finland,Romania,Bulgaria,Italy and Slovakia fought with Germany.
So here we can see that most of the European countries were with Germans.

@jbravo41 - Ok, but only in Auschwitz was five crematory were still other concetration camp where also Nazist kill Jews - Treblinka, Majdanek, Sobibór, Bełzec and other. In each of this camp was gas chambers.

Inspected and analyzed by American execution expert Fred Leuchter in 1988 and German PhD Chemist Germar Rudolph in 1993 as well as Jewish revisionist David Cole in 1992. All three men came to the conclusion that it could NEVER EVER have functioned as a homicidal gas chamber. Case closed.

@kleyo7 It's not so easy, either way. It's not just because Germany wanted to help German people, nor because it was a pure act of aggression. It was the result of a political decision which had humiliated Germany after WW1 and a lot of other factors. As well as the decision of Japan of entering war: they had to do it because of an embargo by USA and Australia which cut their oil and raw materials supplies.

Dywizjon 303 - 303 Polish Fighter Squadron. It was the highest scoring RAF squadron of the Battle of Britain,. When the war was over they had come to Poland. After that soviet militia captured, judged and killed them.
