I've been scouring the web for all kinds of drumming tuition videos and this is by far the best I've found. I've been through about 50 so far. Thanks very much indeed!
Update: ESPECIALLY the part where you mention that one is tended to use the bigger muscles of the back is quite vital, because im experiencing much tension in it during my play, i have to train my wrists and fingers more.
I really need practice, no matter what when i do long sustaining single stroke rolls it KILLS! my arms I hopw this helps, I mstill in this midst of watching this :P
Really good stuff. The Lord has really blessed me w/the ability to just mimic what I see people do, Neva had a drum lesson, but can play pretty well. I really needed exercises to teach me how to play faster, esp. my left hand. Thanks alot for this video. This will help alot. God bless.
Look at your Left hand every few seconds an compare it to the right to make sure that it is moving similarly. Please record a video response to this video of yourself playing and I will critique you.
I am trying out for snare this year and i am practicing a lot and i cant get my left hand to go fast enough. i dont know what to do because i practice and i cant get it down as fast as the right. i am going to try those exercises and see if it helps.

try doing wrist exercises and stretch arms and wrist before playing and ALWAYS warm up before sessions or you will hurt yourself
