  • Briansantiago11 in america it's an Infiniti g35 but in japan or asia whatever it's the Nissan skyline they are almost exactly the same

  • so is the g35 really a skyline as they would say?!!!! answers!!

  • I dont understand why it has nissan skyline in the title as well?

  • sad what an expensive crash

  • thanks for beating me to it sw20. thats an awsome crash test. the cab of the car didnt bend at all. if you look at most crash test on shitty cars the roof doors all crumple. who cars about the engine bay being demolished you want the cab of the car to b intact. go look at a chevy astrovan test and watch that crumple. after u c that your gonna realize how good the G35 test is.

  • its crazy the car got a dent behind the rear tire... damn

  • Thank god i own a BMW.

  • @Cluberda you don't know anything about crash tests

  • & where's the skyline ? =.=

  • @MrKorrigierer the infiniti g35 in japan is the skyline 350gt 4door

  • @racingchamp101 aaaaaaaaaaaaaah i understand sorry for the mistake :D

  • i own one and after watching this i must slow down. the crush test performace sucked how the hell did it dent in the back ? and the frunt wheel probably take both of youre legs out :((( .... and the russian guy is saying that the body should not crush like that he is amazed how it sucked like me ;))

  • i own one and after watching this i must slow down. the crush test performace sucked how the hell did it dent in the back ? and the frunt wheel probably take both of youre legs out :(((

  • Speak English, not russia or ukraine! From: Finland! Puhu englantia, älä venäjää tai ukrainaa! Terveiset Suomesta!

  • оооооооооохренеть, а причём здесь заднее крыло, ничё не понял, так кузов играть не должен однозначно

  • @ALTEZZAKAR what the fuck.....

    ENGLISH YOU POLISH FUCK!

  • @cartzar good job with the languages sir. it aint even fucking polish.

  • @cartzar listening to kiss my ass,,,, fuck what Polish,,,, it RUSSIAN LANGUAGE!!!,,, illiteracy, and you're bad at all ,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,, go shoot yourself

  • @ALTEZZAKAR i will after you get drunken beat by your alcholoic dad who gets drunk on vodka.

    VODKA!

  • can even see the rear panels denting after this one.. pretty amazing

  • и сверху по башке подушкой на!!

  • @donmutti0 exactly!

  • OMFG crazy how the crash rippled through to the rear quarter panel and put a dent in it

  • а я думал она будет покребче,,,кузов аж на до зжаднего крыла сыграл,,,мда

  • it was kinda weird how the rear left panel behind door began to crumple

  • Would you rather that panel crumble or your back seat passengers leg?

  • Back seat paassengers leg so they can stfu and stop back seat driving

  • ROFL!!!!

  • haha thumbs up

  • lol! im a passenger driver :) haha

  • aahHAHAHAHAH

  • Energy is channeled to the back of the car instead of were passengers sit. this is why it does this.

  • US wont convert to metric, costs too much

  • too bad...it would make things so much easier!

  • the metric system is the tool of the devil

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hahaha

  • Metric conversions are way easier to learn than imperial conversions. Not that imperial is hard anyway. But ye i agree imperial/standard is way better than metric especially when working on vehicles.

  • How is it better when working on vehicles? Try having a helper that's not used to dealing with fractions, ask them what is the larger socket, 9/16 or 5/8 and see what they say. It's the dumbest fucking system ever invented!

  • Haha. Well everyone has thier preference I guess.

  • @idontcare80 no its the system that weeds out dumbasses cause if you can't do SIMPLE fractions then by golly piss off wanker, go die in a fire. me, I'm a G so I can readily use both systems with ease : D

  • I can use both systems easily as well. I worked construction for years and I'm a architectural student, both of those fields use the US standard system exclusively. Even still, being able to use the US system doesn't make me hate it any less.

  • ROFL!!! The US standard system makes absolutely NO sense at all. Most engineers, architects, designers HATE the US standard system!

  • NICE

  • opps sorry lol i meant to say when chinese car gets crashed the entire body criples

  • hahah totally whith you!

  • how do you tell by just looking at the video? Is that good crash test or bad?

  • because when u look at this crash u can see that only the nose gets smashed and the air bags deploy right away, and rest of the body stays in perfect condition

like for example have you seen chinese car crash test that thing sucks, when that crash crashes entire body criples lol its a disaster

  • I see what you are saying. I just saw a clip of chinese made car crash test. It is damn scary. the whole car just smashed like there is no tomorrow.

  • ya exactly bro

  • I was in a G35 that got rearended by a crackhead, they were going 40 in a grand am, almost no damage to the back of the G35 !

If we were in the old 69 roadrunner (440 4 speed) we would have been in the hospital with neck braces.

  • 40mph and got rear ended and almost no damage???? who u trying to fool really if some one hit u going 40mph in any car there would be no rear end on ur car say good bye to ur trunk

  • What if he meant Km/h? But yea even at 40 though, he would still have no back end. I can't wait till' the US converts to metric, anyway.

  • is the US seriously gonna convert to metric??

  • I doubt it, but why the hell not!? We are the only people in the world that made a random system of measurement. A mile is 5280 feet. WTF why such a random number, why not intervals of 10 like the rest of the world...

  • true

  • because according to the Ancient Romans it means 1000 paces

  • Take a college course in Physics and it will teach you why crumple zones make a crash safer. It's call an "elastic collision". Please don't be stupid and do your research before you speak.

  • people are going crazy over how these cars crumple but i got news i work at a junk yard and wrecker service and any car and i mean any car that takes a 40mph impact is history so what if nothing from the car makes it its all about the passengers

  • stupid, it's safe

  • whats up with the big jiggle with the back?

  • dats also the crumple zones.

  • very well protected

  • Gotta love the ignorance. The impact is MUCH MUCH greater without any crumple zones. The crumple zones allow a "cushion" during a large accident, then the hard part of the frame keeps the entire car from crumpling. Without that cushion, the risk of bodily injury or death is MUCH higher. Muscle cars are fast and beautiful, just hope you don't get into an accident in one.

  • Might is right, I will drive an old tank. You drive your lightweight crumple car. If we collide I will win the battle.

  • Sure thing buddy.

  • Your car will win the battle, his car will lose... but will YOU win the battle? Probably not...

  • Very well said!!Nice cars but very unsafe!!

  • @SW20FL Thats why the redneck industry has created bumper airbags! lol

  • @SW20FL Okay expert... LMFAO.! You're reported you no it all prickach!

    Merlin X

  • MrTom235863, I would like to applaud you for officially arguing with a two year old comment.

  • @SW20FL Thankyou young sir, you've taken it like a man! I like that!

Ps, your're still in deep trouble!

    Merlin X

  • Tom, I took a peak at your profile. Stop being a troll. All of your comments are negative. You're more in violation than anyone here.

Also, if you disagree with my comment. I'd like a valid argument. As an engineer, I would actually be interested (no sarcasm) if you were to come up with some sort of real objection to my comment. Everything else is a bunch of teenage loligaging.

  • @SW20FL

well said sir i hate those damn trolls also lol

  • @MrTom235863, but instead you cowardly hit the report button because you have no valid point against what I said. Education or not, once a looser, always a looser.

  • @SW20FL Haha you're a recluse!

  • @SW20FL Ooo good one! Better block mrtom! Haha you freak! You're in deep trouble! X

  • @SW20FL muscle cars of today are equally as safe as any japanese car out there. all cars are tested to a minimum standard and american muscle actually does very well. of course muscle cars of the 60s / 70s arent goin to hold up in a crash by todays standards, and I can guarantee it would be the same case for any import

  • @bodyrebuilder You're absolutely right. I can't remember who I was responding to at that time (2 years ago), but when I meant muscle cars, I was referring to the old school cars. Any new car is designed to the Government standards. Both domestic and imported vehicles.

  • @SW20FL True. But, if it's used up all it's crumple zone at 40 mph, then you become the crumple zone at say 55 mph.

  • @98MAzdaMilleniaS At that speed there's only so much you can do. Another factor is that at 40 mph, you usually don't hit a dead solid wall. There is another car that also "gives' as one vehicle collides with it, so it's hard to say what speed is safe or not. Depends on what you hit. Remember; the entire car isn't a big crumple zone. It's simply designed to protect. Once the crumple zone does it's job, the hard part of the uni-body protects the occupants as much as it's able to.

  • @SW20FL Technically it hit a deformable barrier representing the front of another car, that's IIHS protocal. The safer and newer 2nd gen. G35 has a much stiffer structure and crumples less, but has lower dummer readings. The dummy had a hard 80g hit in the cabin that you can't see, no other mid-size luxury car had a dummy have such a high g hit in their crash tests...

  • Did you fail high school physics or something? It's a little thing called IMPULSE and ACCELERATION. If you increase the impact time, the time of the negative acceleration of the object will increase and therefore occur over a greater period of time. Increasing impact time reduces the speed at which you negatively accelerate. How do you do that? By doing "wussy crumpling."

  • @Duncan: When a modern car crumples, it is actually slowing down and dispersing the energy of the crash. If the car's nose doesn't crumple, then the forces on the passenger area and your body are MUCH higher. Your older car may come out of a crash with less damage, but your body will come out with MORE damage. Believe me, I'd much rather have an accident in a car like this than ANYTHING from the 1970s. I love old cars, but we have learned a LOT about surviving crashes in the last 35 years.

  • Agreed. If the curtain airbag did not go off, I'd prefer it even more.

  • LMAO!

  • it'll buff out

  • I was in an sever accident in a 2005 G35 and I walked away with only an small airbag burn and nothing more. I was on the freeway when(65-70mph)the car in front of me slammed on the breaks! (for no reason) But it is a safe car i was not injured in the slightest. So I have owned a total of 4 now, They are safe cars!

  • Awesome cars!

  • @bhensen

You've owned 4 of the same cars?

  • @bhensen If you're looking for safety, buy a Mercedes.

  • @bhensen Is that all a lie?!

  • thats quite the dent in the rear quarter panel

  • hey im looking to buy a used g35 but i want some opnions on the safety of the car by looking at this video. any comment appreciated.

  • lol reminded me of family guy. did i mention the tank is a tank?

  • lol i like ur comment i dont know why people put thumbs down

  • I'd say this car is quite safe. If you look, you'll see that the A pillar didn't deform. That's always a good sign as you want the car to crumple up to the firewall, but no futher in a frontal accident. As for the rear, there is a small crumple zone there as well for if you are rear ended.

All in all, looking at this video, I'd say "SAFE"

  • So can anybody explain the dent on the rear driver's side l0l

  • lol never sitting there again in a g35

  • erm, your never guna sit in the trunk again?

  • the crssh sent huge(and i mean it) shockwave through the whole car, therefor causing that dent

  • To MizzPrincezz: That's because the rear is also a crumple zone so the softer metal at the back also crupled a bit. The area which has hard metal (and you want it to) is the passenger safety cage, that is from the firewall back to just behind the rear seats.

  • Love the G but will never buy another nissan product again. The G's had quite a few problems that infiniti would never address.

  • class vid

  • looks not so bad

  • my dream car

  • hah..THAT's your dream car?

  • Yeah...but fully modified for D1 championship. Im not into ferraris and that... proberly something like the HKS silvia would be my dream car, or Blitz skyline

  • haha..no i'm not into that exotic bullshit either. My dream cars are subaru wrx/sti's, and I have my dream car!

  • exotics are not bull shit it just that u cant afford it u wouldnt be saying that if ur rich

  • haha...sigh, immature kid. You probably don't even drive a car yet then huh? I don't need a 1million dollar car to be happy and enjoy driving the twisties you prick.

  • I love the idiots who think Japanese Skylines only come in GT-R form - The lesser RWD Skyline models are in fact the G35 coupe and sedan in the US

  • g35 is made in japan to 1346798521993 so you are a noob

  • y would you say that they may look the same but both of them have different engines. They are made in 2 different country's skyline is made in japan, g35 is made in north America u noob

  • Therefore that is why i said luxury brand of Nissan...so therefore the specs would be different but at the same time it is the same car and infiniti is not the american brand it is still own and run by nissan of japan, america just make it in left hand drive lol

  • Both of them are the same cars..just different names......just like how Lexus is Toyota luxury brand....Infiniti is the luxury brand of Nissan

The QX56 is the Nissan Armada

The G35 is the Nissan Skyline

The Q45 is the Nissan Cima

The FX45 is the Nissan Murano

The M35 is the Nissa Fuga

The new EX is the Nissan Dualis

  • The FX45 is NOT the Murano. The FX45 is based on the RWD FM platform (Skyline/G35, M35/M45, 350Z). The Nissan Murano is based on the FWD FF-L platform (Nissan Maxima, previous gen Altima, etc.).

  • damn i was gunna say that :( lol

  • what a noob...

  • the car looks like plastic...look to the back part

  • Pretty safe

  • u know whats funnyu..?? the back side of the car bent also.. lol

  • now thats what u call new technology! see how the impact traveled all the way to the back and bent the back! its just awsome to watch!

  • Whats an R34? And wow the crash impacted the back XD

  • R34 is the Sports version of the skyline like the one one on Too Fast Too Furious but it has been updated now

  • you don't really know what the R34 is because you'd know that R34 is the chassis code for all Skylines from 99 - 02, regardless whether its a GTR or a sedan.

  • R34 is basically a version of a Nissan Skyline.

They started in the early to mid 1970s with R30, then came the R31, R32, R33, R34 and the current V35 (known throughout the world as and in the states known as Infiniti G35.

  • Thats pretty impressive compared to other crash test vids i've seen on here. I would like love to see a R34 myself, considering I have one.

  • like ya to prove it.

  • Proof sent :), check inbox.

  • lol when you send proof, I expect there to be some semblance of you, some correlation between Docile81 and whatever you sent me which, frankly, I don't see. Now, this may be because I'm not looking close enough or what have you, but, I don't get it.

  • Mate, I have naffin to prove to a 19yr old kid :).

  • Good then, because if that's what you set out to do then you miserably failed, right? But I guess I can't say that now. haha. Poor execution my friend.

  • i wanna see a crash test of a r34 nissan skyline gtr

  • thats kind of the reason they're not legal

  • wat the heck are you on about?

  • here in the states...even now...except your Motorex cars...even then...they weren't supposed to be.
