I actually feel rather sorry for Lansley. I saw him in an interview on Newsnight and I have no doubt that he genuinely cares about the NHS. He spent 7 years planning this and probably thought it would be his life's legacy. Cameron's PR skills may have gained the Tories some credibility on the NHS before the election but it's all in tatters now.
