Harold Kent is full of hot air. He's saying that unequal protection of laws is ok, they can tape you but you can't tape them. If you do tape, you can use it but you can't publicize it. I think he needs to study a little more - a lot more about prior restraint
Juries are nullifying the law. Thank goodness for juries. What in the world is wrong with what the COPS do being publicized. These COPS want no scrutiny at all. STOP THEM.
So if one records let's say a building and a cop steps in, because he thinks he is recorded and there is audio of him his camera, is that enough to put one in jail for 15 years?
Man, they got to be desperate to get more prisoners to profit from.
It's very simple folks, those in charge want to stay in charge and don't want us common sheeple to impede their breaching our constitutional rights. I mean come on folks, do you really think cops and govt officials want every one knowing how corrupt they can be?
I cannot fucking believe some of this shit im hearing. In spite of all the clear-cut constitutional violations (this eavesdropping law violates the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 14th amendment) the only argument the government seems to use for this bullshit is how we might interfere with police business. I do hope this Illinois's appeal court upholds this law so we could take it to the Supreme Court of the United States. That way the rest of the country will see how fucked up illinois is.
FYI: Don Ohlmeyer ... he is lying ... Under Siege (segment 5 of 8 segments of his memoir interview),as he well knows, was a concerted and seminal NWO produced inculcation artifact -- a front runner, underwritten by his crew aka funders ... all with powerful new world order connections: yet he bold-face dishes self-accolades; sweet. Then he goes on to talk about pedophile themed TV series that were firsts: utterly alarming NWO leadership tenets yet again ... beyond mere subtext: NUTS & TWISTED
Especially with the recent beatings that resulted in one man's death in California and a case in Illinois that sent a man to the hospital in critical condition. Both of these beatings were brutal and involved five or six officers in each case.
Police have loaded weapons and authority over people so if anyone should be videotaped to make sure they are doing their job correctly it should be them.
The POLICE are PUBLIC SERVANTS, therefore they have no privacy except off duty and not acting as a POLICE OFFICER. Its another law to block the corrupt GOVERNMENT goons.
There are three states where it is a felony to record the police. And time after time we can see instances where police beat people up, then arrest their victims for assault and resisting arrest. The victims have no hope in court until someone comes up with a video showing the truth. I say NO TO POLICE PRIVACY, such privacy leads to corruption. Cops are public employees and should be accountable. Corrupt cops do not want accountability. Do, contact your own state representatives.
It's a police state now .Look up the NDAA Obamanation signed...Its over folks

if facts "compromise the goal" of an onging investigation, then the goal is wrong not the way in which the facts were collected

Since when do police conduct "ongoing criminal investigations" where they're interrogating people in public?

Hell the media chops up audio and video all the time, so whats the difference if a public citizen does it? Why is the media exempt?
