  • Bellisima ella y su voz!

  • Må solen alltid skinne!

  • I speak greek, and now I'm trying to sing this song in Swedish. I love Nordic languages, if I nail it I will be very happy with myself :)

  • @billsdestiny Hey I'm like u ...I'm greek and I'm fond of scandinavian languages;)

  • her voice is haunting, magical.

  • Hon laater scottisk naer hon pratar paa engelska

  • She sounds like a Scots when she speaks English

  • Så vackert. Synd att det ska bort.

  • @AtrumMixer Ska bort? hur då?

  • Allt sånt här ska bort. Får inte finnas.

  • @AtrumMixer Jaså, vad syftar du på då?

  • @Basram Spelar ingen roll. Det bara är så. Och det går inte att ändra på.

  • Is there anyone who has the chords for this song? Would greatly appreciate it. :)

  • That girl sure can sing. And with very well pronounced Swedish.

  • Eivør Pálsdóttir er glæsilegur og auðmjúkur.

  • @AkkordionBloke You mean Glæsileg og auðmjúk she is not a dude

  • my favorite, wonderful and beautiful singer

  • Underbar version! Hon kan verkligen göra folksånger från ALLA de skandinaviska länderna fruktansvärt fint.

  • A small addition; I almost forgot to say that here she is singing in Swedish, not in Faroese. My statement earlier about the similarities between Northern Norwegian dialects and Faroese refer to other sources, not to this spesific song. Thanks.

  • Faroese !, is a bit similar with Icelandic

  • To me, who is born and raised in Northern Norway, it is quite easy to recognize similarities between my Norwegian dialect and Faroese spoken (and written, for that matter) language. Interesting, considering that there is a language research project going on with comparing different Norwegian dialect markers with, among others, Faroese language. Well, enough from me. Eivør, du er fantastisk. Takk.

  • vilken röst! fantastiskt

  • there was a video from this same concert of her performing "Trøllabundin." can anyone find that?

  • Må solen alltid skina och läka dina sår.

Má sólin altíð skína og lekja tíni sár.

jag elsker Svensk, men ikki líka nógv sum eg elski Føroyskt ^^,

  • Väldigt lätt att förstå ju :O

  • does anybody can translate this in english or greek?

  • Incredible !

  • Info: the song is in swedish.
  • Has anyone the faeroese lyrics to this beautiful song?

    Thank you for posting.

  • Anyone know what venue that is?

  • noo... but if this helps (you can probably wiki it)

this was at Celtic Connections about 2/3 years ago

I saw this song and Trollabundin, and have been a diehard fan since then.

  • Beautiful song, amazing singer.

  • Is she Norwegian?

  • If you listened to what she is saying, you would notice she is from the Faroe Islands.

  • Whatever happened to the video of "Trøllabundin" from this same show?

  • Sjunger hon på svenska?

  • Færøysk.

  • No, I think it's swedish. But she has a Færøysk accent.

  • @snurris22

    Yes it's Swedish :D

  • @snurris22

That is right. It´s Swedish with a Färöysk accent.

  • She is singing a Faroese song in Swedish, which was translated into Swedish by Peder Karlsson.

  • Heathen scum. May the hammer of Thor and the bolts of Odin rain upon thee.

  • bolt´s of odin? you mean his spear? Beacuse the lighting also called Tordön in my mothertongue come´s from Tor.. please read some before you start talking of my people´s god´s

  • Førsvinn du nazi

  • Bolts of Odin? =P I think you are confusing it. Thor is the "god of thunder" (roughly saying).

And the guy throws lightning bolts at people is Zeus, a Greek god! XD

    Study a bit more!

  • she is great

  • Må solen alltid skina By Eivør Pálsdóttir (swedish translation by Peder Karlsson) Må solen alltid skina och läka dina sår.

  • Men kví syngur hún sænsku?

  • I wonder that too :S

  • Jag upptäckte Eivor förre vecka då jag laddade ner en mp3-fil med denna låt. Hon är en riktig Gudinna.

  • Eivør - Her voice is so beautiful, and she really manages to use this gift, to create wonderful music. I've seen her live several times in Denmark and in the Faroe Islands, and I will never grow tired of her music.. I'll keep going to her concerts, because each concert is a great experience.
