  • the mustang DRIVER sucks!!

  • 4 wheel drive ftw

  • Lol where was the Mustang. 5 litre engine and runs like 1.6 litre.

    0-60 mph in a legacy about 5 1/2 secs.

0-60 mph in a Mustang = eventually. Lol

  • Let's not forget traction here. 500 horses do you no good if you sit there smoking you tires off, meanwhile the 250hp Subaru is halfway down the track.

  • uhm 14.5 on a stage 2 lgt??? i ran a 14.3 stock.

  • @HideTheAsian: If you could read the description! This is at 5800 feet elevation. Even at this altitude I ran a best time of 14.0.

  • 18 for the mustang lmfao.. such a shitty time

  • That proves it, it's not just how much Hp you've got, it's how you put it down, any petrol head will tell you that!

  • I'm guessing that the biggest factors here are elevation and driver-mod. Yes, the Mustang driver sucked testicles but even if he was as good as the driver in the LGT, he still wouldn't have won this race.

    AWD Stage 2 LGT > Bolt-on 5.0 Foxbody

  • @SickG6 You're comparing a stock '83 or '84 car with a horrible driver to a 2008 car.... The fact is, late 1980s/early 1990s Mustangs with minor bolt-ons will do over 100 mph in the 1/4. A friend of mine has a 1988 GT 5.0 5 speed with cylinder heads and intake manifold from a late 1990s Ford Explorer 5.0 (stock production Ford heads), shorty headers, exhaust, and 3.73 gears and he was running 13.90s @ 102 mph on all-season tires and 13.40s on slicks.

  • @gtdrummerdude I ran 13.5 with a stock 01 Bullitt Mustang with no midpipe and flowmaster catback on bald street tires. If I can find my timeslip, I'll post it online and send you the link. So you're right, it's not necessarily the cars. It's usually driver error.

  • @SickG6 Wow that's really good. Here in Phoenix, AZ, stock '99 - '04 GT 5 speeds with decent drivers manage mid 14s. How you got 13.5 on street tires is beyond me but good job lol.

  • @SickG6 dude, Stock LGT is still faster then Bolt-On 5.0

  • All,

Just to reinforce Kylar 27's point, running at Bandimere means running at ULTRA high altitude. If you can get into the 12's here, you can make at least 11 second passes at sea level, easy. Bandimere is up in the hills outside of Denver, Colorado, which itself is a mile high (hence, the "mile high city") so add another 1000 feet or so to that, and you have Bandimere's altitude. That said, I love racing there, most of the competitors are top notch, and the track is pretty nice.

  • You guys are missing a very important reason why the times might be slower.....

Bandimere speedway in Denver, elevation 6000feet

Yes elevation really does make a big difference...

  • 96 mph trap?

subaru hasnt come far in the last 3 years i see,HA

  • I bet that was a 2.3 4cylinder mustang.

even my friends automatic LX convertible runs 15.1 seconds !

  • 18 seconds :/ !?!?!?

I have even seen a stock convertible automatic LX which ran 15.1 seconds :/

... the driver must be a rookie and doesnt know how to shift :/ :/ :/ :O !

  • nice man way to put bandimere on youtube haha

  • that sexy im getting a 98 legacy outback and im going to put a wrx setup on it and see what it does to my freinds 85 5.0 im pretty sure ill be able to walk him like nothing

  • nice legacy, shitty mustang lol

  • I love to see crappy mustangs get smoked by subies. Subies may not be the fastest, but with the right driver that has skills, it is pretty easy to make dum basses in much "faster" cars look and feel stupid. Love it!

  • 18.0? that must have been a 2.3l mustang!

  • WOOOOO oh ya go Adam. You whipped his @$#. Man I can't wait to get out there and do it myself.

  • That mustang was pretty slow. I did race a 2001 camaro ss twice and beat it both times. I was preety suprised. The first time i raced him i got a crappy start but ran him down and passed him by the end of the track.

  • I"m not saying you didn't, but I own a 98 Firebird Formula ls1, same drivetrain as '01 SS. Completely stock, it runs mid 13's. I'm not trying to start a pissing contest, but 14.52 isn't even close to 13.5 - 13.7. I've seen ls1 F-bodies run as slow as 14.1 but that requires a piss poor driver.
