Does the engine overheat? Can the engine catch on fire if there is oil that has spilled on the engine?

Actually, if any of you whiny lady men knew anything about the very early model cars, the oil was a vegetable based product that produced a very sweet aroma. It was actually healthy to breathe and is a natural stimulant. Many men at the turn of the century would gather in local garages specifically to breathe buggy fumes. It was the early American version of hookah cafes. 'La cave d'homme' as the frenchies affectionately called it.

Where are the throttle and spark timing controls? How many speeds does it have and what are these controlled with? Does the brake work inside the transmission like in a model T?

How do you turn it off?

You can either shut off the fuel, which takes a while, or pull the key out on the drivers side which disconects the battery. The key is a brass pin that when slid into the switch box, reates continuity in the battery/ignition system.

Believe it or not they were open. We have footage of the smoke billowing out after the buggy was shut down. We decided to call it a day and let the room clear of smoke before we proceeded.
