It's always nice to see more classic characters in the parade. Remember a few years back, when it was all flash-in-the-pan PBS preschool characters?
The Smurfs are kind of an odd one, though. In the US, they're seen as a relic of the '80s. However, in Europe, they've been around practically forever.

Thank you for posting this. It was the best part of the parade along with Rick Rolled. So nice to see the Smurfs in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. I hope they have them for the future ones.

You mean there were other things after the Smurfs? Ha, I think I got so excited about the Smurfs that that's all I saw, lol. (Well, also because it was like the first balloon out.) Now, I must look up that Rick Rolled one. Thanks for commenting and hope you're enjoying your Thanksgiving.
