Btw, we're Lao, not "Laos". Please don't pronounce the S when referring to the people. Lao people are from Laos, but Lao people are NOT Laos. We are not the country! Therefore Lao people cannot be LAOS. We're just Lao...no S please! =)

It's just like saying "Im MexicO" instead of "i'm MexicAN". Mexico is the COUNTRY while, Mexican is the Nation or Nationality. There's a difference. When Asians don't use proper grammar, it makes Asian people look bad & Uneducated, & falls into the stereotype that Asians don't know how to speak English Correctly. It's better to look smart & use proper grammar, then to look ignorant & uneducated, with bad grammar. Im Lao & I know Lao people who cant speak correctly, it makes our race look stupid

@ofelixdacat I agree with you 100%. Only ignorant people would say "I'm Laos", whereas smart people would say "I'm Lao" or "I'm Laotian" because Laos is actually the country. Only a person as big as a country would say "I'm Laos" or "I'm China" or "I'm Mexico". Asians in the U.S. should learn how to speak proper English.
