Isn't using metallic pots and utensils detrimental to the herbs? I've read many times that you should never brew reishi in a metal pot, but should only use enamel, glass or ceramic.

We just want to know where you got that groovy tea pot? We love this video thank you! But seriously we can't find the tea pot and we would love to have one!
Sounds like an amazing drink except the hot water in the honey, breaking down all the enzymes & other delicate factors in Honey and according to Ayurveda heat makes honey toxic, other than that though sounds awesome!!!! Thanks for the inspiration David;)
I love your energy in this video, David! You seem a lot calmer. Maybe becasue you are adding more Jing herbs to your diet :) thank you for this wonderful video!
Hi, Im still pretty new to raw foods and am excited to make up a batch asap. When making the tea, do you just drop the Chaga and Reishi mushrooms right into the water and allow it to simmer(not boil)? and for how long? Thanks very much
Thanks so much for posting this and reaquainting me with Ho Shou Wu or Fo Ti. I did not realize how good it was for you! Also the info about each ingredient is priceless. GOD bless JB
Hi Clair, the tea was not heated to the boiling point. It was heated to about half way to the boiling point or about 170 degrees. That is enough to scald your skin but it is not enough to change the structure of the water that happens when the water is boiled. When water is boiled then it is "cooked" and produces a slight immune response in the body when it is taken in. If you boil your teas I wouldn't worry about it though.
Interesting drink...the Cacao is a stimulant, and the Reishi calms the heart. The HeShouWu and mucuna protect and build the jing, the maca invigorates the endocrine system. Not to mention the other superfoods.
Recently I had a raw, Peruvian chocolate bar that tasted awesome although it did keep me up - I took it at 8 pm. lol The bar also had Maca, Camu Camu, Yacon, and couple other Peruvian fruits for flavor and enhanced nutrition. Best ever.
YEs David you are GREAT!! Thank you!! Where do I get that He Shou Wu? is it "He" or "Ho" I am suffering from illness or pain in ALL the areas you mentioned that it helps...
Would be nice if he told us how many Reishi mushrooms per how much of water he put, cause theire very bitter and can cause diarrhea if consumed too much. Also where to buy the best ingreidients for Cocoa, acai, etc.
nonono, He Shou Wu means Black Head Mr. He -literal translation. He was over 50yo. and was unable to concieve so he drank a lot. One day he fell asleep and woke up seeing the plant talking to him. He picked it up, asked local herbalist what the plant was and the herbalist didn't know the name. Mr. He started consuming the plant for many months and noticed his hair going black, several years more on this plant he was able to get a wife and make her pregnant. He had many kids and died at 103 or113

could one just use ground reishi and not make tea out of it at all?
kazumalazu 11 months ago
@kazumalazu I have read that it is more effective if you boil it, even the ground reishi.

@19ClairCognizance87 somethings you must cook, like tea, no its not raw but who cares its healthy and its vegetarian friendly.
chi854 1 year ago
the spoon did nothing, a heatsink absorbs and removes heat. the spoon just got surrounded in the hot water, which wasn't even hot (boiled).
