In a show you can display a choreografy which is impossible in a competition on a short timeframe.

Once Donnie Burns said that dancing should be entertainment rather than sport.

But is should as well be an artistic evolution or expression.

That is what Michael and Joanna certainly do, inspired by real art.

Enjoyed it but not one of their best performances for me...

I think if she was in a traditional looking latin dress then most of the comments about it not being very latin wouldnt have been posted.

Also they have a completely different style to Bryan and Carmen and Slavvyk & Karina so no point comparing really..its very much personal taste.

As for never beating them...its often political judging not honest adjudicating that keeps a champion at the top for such a long time. They usually retire !

Now I don't see whats all the hubbub about how crazy and "abominable" this latin routine is. There is only one bit of choreography that I wouldn't find very latin like and thats from 1:15-1:23 and thats really only 8 seconds. Is that honestly such a big deal? The routine seemed fabulous to me.

ok ill pick other words to explain it. I don't like the style, its not enough of the genuine oldschool latin for me. nevertheless i see it has quality. technically it's great (exept for the slip chasses from michael) but I would do it a different way.

Their other cha cha...the one where she is yellow is really Latin...one of the cheekiest cha chas I have ever seen.

This one is a bit too modern, but her technique is still fab.

i see the dancing but i miss the latin. they don't give me the latin feeling like bryan & carmen or Slavik & Karina used to do. i think it's a shame, and they're just not easy on the eye, it's more fun to watch perfection in simplicity.

can anyone tell them? XD

well I don't know...there are many out there who does the simplistic dancing...and I like them because they are doing something different...Latin is about moving with your whole body and keeping a very flexible back at all times..I think NO other top lady has stud true to this fact as far as the flexble back is concerned. I personaly love that they are different. Who wan'ts to see the same styles and the same thing done over and over again?.. i certainly don't....

to tell the truth in the old days i was waiting for joanna to all the stuff she does except pure latin to draw my attention now she has become to damn good in latin that seeing all the tricks disatisfies me.and yes i also think that sometimes its not that they dont have partnership but its not being shown by their dancing sometimes

lets all remember that this is a showcase... half the couple this choose to go all show where Bryan and Carmen are authentic dancers that touch us all with there music, artistry and quality dancing. MJ choose to go show and show a different style which they are great at and no one else can create... it makes them great there can be one other Bryan or Carmen

In fact you missunderstood my post. I always liked her with Slavik, but in my opinion she more and more disappears in their way of latin dancing... it's all about the tricks. Where's the partnership?

Couple of years ago, she's really from time to time lose balance, but not anymore, at least not in this video. All those tricks looks very

harmonic with the main choreography, partnership is beautiful. They create next generation of dancing, no one in the world could do even a bit the same like MJ. But I'm not so "great" dancer, like "moplizek" for criticize GREAT champions. and, yes, let's not forget - it's show!

Well you are 27 years old and from Finland and there is only one top couple from Fin - Rachid Malki, but i bet you aren't Malki so your dancing life is almost ended. And i have the whole life in front of my eyes so you can not be sure that you'll much more as you said, so go and dance potato head:D Feel the balance

yes ... maybe... if you put them in the frame under latin dance, however, if you think broader with the term "dance", definitely they are successful in the content of the dance, this may not be latin dance only, but is something leading the trend. dance is a culture, since culture is not dead, dance either, it will move frward, you may now find them not the right track, but after 10 years, they must be a new donnie and gaynor, who also add in new elements to latin dance.
