I was at this gig and i think either during the synthy breakdown in either this or jocko homo Mark was stood behind an amp panting gasping for breath, which I thought was quite funny, I like how they still give it their all, even when they can't breathe because of it
Saw them the next month in London, this (although great to see for someone who can recreate in their mind its awesomeness) simply doesn't convey their utter, utter brilliance live. It's always been one of my favourite songs, and I was nearly knocked on my ass with the whole experience (their delivery, the crowds reaction and all the unquantifiables). See them, see them, see them.
Devo at their best awsome as always even with Alan Myers. Josh Freese is a great drummer gives the band a whole new energy. Still haven't had my day of seeing them live hopefully it will come true in the near future.
Spoke to this young bartender after their Sonar show in Barcelona; she was opening the kiosk when she saw a gang of elderly slowly walking onto the stage, then she could not believe her sore ears: never heard of them before and she said no other band was that tight, she was right at Devo's soundcheck!!
He is indeed. Josh gives the exact fresh-electronic sound the band's percussion needs. But this song is totally Bob M's!!! Respect the guitar, viva The Clown!!!

Bob 1 totally shreds it during his solos. Awesome acoustic attacks!

why didn't bob go crazy and drop on the floor when he played the solo? He's used to do it all the time.

Josh is as metronomic as Alan ever was and even Dave. Doesn't Bob look the same as he did in the 70's too!!!

Always my favourite Devo song and they played it as fresh as the first time they'd played it!

One of the many Devo favs I have. Heard "Clockout"?
IndioFreak 4 years ago
Prolly not a fun track to play, and not a gig track?
HarryUpHarry 3 years ago
Think they stick to the most popular among fans. Clockout is just different -well, that can be said about their whole catalogue.
