  • I'm from poland and I love this plane!

  • and the PZL AI-14RA engine is polish as well

  • it's polish plane not russian!!!

  • Any video with a radial engine is porn to me. Great video. Love that sound.

  • Damn fine aircraft and a damn fine city , im from Springfield MO.

  • She may look like she was built from the skin of an aluminum barn, but you can't ask for a better plane.

  • Wszyscy kochają PZL 104 Wilga.

  • Nicest sweatshirt there is; Twitchell's

  • What's not to love? A radial engine, a tail wheel, big honking controls- a totally honest flying machine with personality. The Wilga has a style all its own!

  • You can afford to fly a Wilga but you can't afford a real camera?

  • Nice Twitchell's Shirt!

  • I'm sorry you took offense at my remarks, I was just saying the yanks are known world wide as being better than "Best of the best of the best". In civil aviation the rest of the world is just hobbyists and amateurs compared to the mighty U S of A. We all know you've saved the world countless times with the standouts how you won Vietnam and how lil Georgie won the Iraq war, the middle east and the world are so much safer places now. So if I offended you in any way please accept my humble apology

  • Great jurassic flight

  • lÔl_I_feËl_sO_løÑélÿ_tÖÐÁY

  • I thought a dead stick landing was one with the prop stopped, yanks are normally better than anybody else at everything so I spose they can call it what they want :)

  • @C150Learner he he. no shit

  • @C150Learner Agree about the dead-stick definition, but why bash Americans? So, umm...fuck you.

  • @C150Learner

No sir, a dead stick landing is landing with no power the prop may or may not be turning.

  • COOL!

  • Who is the "adoring fan" shooting these videos? Yes, it is a "big piece of iron"; takes some expertise to stay ahead of it. Not much of a fan of Russian airplanes, with the exception of the An-225 - now THAT'S AN AIRPLANE!!

  • @mmichaeldonavon it is not russian. just the engine. its a good glider tower

  • @mmichaeldonavon Show some courtesy and understand that "Russian" is an offense where the plane was built

  • i agree......love the start up......

  • why is it that at least half of the Wilga videos are of deadstick or some failure in the engine?

  • @halfblindwriter show off the high lift/stol capabilities of the aircraft.

  • Nice video.

  • lol

  • @76realty Polish radial Engine not Russisch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow. Not the greatest of lookers, but gets the job done!

  • best of all, it's got THE CLOCK :D

  • what are these things, is this a variable pitch

  • where is the extreme flying in that video ? Love the sound of that radial.

  • Beautiful.

  • No need to yell "clear" my friend. If you hit the starter in a quarter of a second after yelling, there is no time to get out of the way of the prop anyway.

    Cool vid.

  • That's so cool the little photo effect of the prop blades.

  • How much is a hour on wilga ?

  • i would love to own my own aircraft and have my own workshop for maintainance. I would double the reccomended maintainance especially if i was going on a long flight and my life depended on flawless mechanical performance.

  • @1982FMJ Doubling the maintenance would be a waste of money and time and probably less safer. During the 100 hour or annual inspection it is not uncommon for issues to be introduced, items not fitted or not fitted properly, items not locked or pinned, incorrect parts fitted, parts damaged during fitting, avionics disturbed or FOD left in areas.

  • @unapro3

I'd fire my mechanic if I were you mate..

A lot of aircraft are on programs, thus 25 or 50 hourly inspections are very common.

You act like these are common problems yet in all my years of flying I've never come across any of these. But then again, I trust my mechanics.

ANYONE who performs routine bush landings is best advised to have their aircraft maintenance bumped to 50 hours or more often.

  • @texNoz please reread my my post. I commented on DOUBLING the scheduled servicing. For instance your 25 hr check at 12.5 and your 50 hr at 25. I don't need mechanics, I am a mechanic and I have seen numerous times were an aircraft has come back with snags, this spans militaryand civilian maintenance. In fact, with the military side of it, operations won't send an aircaft fresh out of a scheduled service on a task before a shakedown flight.

  • Mark McGee is a legend in his own mind and his mind only. I'd give you an atta-boy but so little of what I seen in the video deserved it, actually nothing did... Sorry Mark.

  • hey i think the wiper might be bad on the wind sheild ...ahahahaha

  • i see he is wearing a twitchells sweatshirt, are you up around turner?

  • I noticed you used a compressed-air starting system. Does this plane use the Vedeneyev M-14 radial?

  • @SenorSpode Yes.

  • this has a better cockpit than of the women i have dated.

  • Might not be the nicest looking airplane, but Christ does it look solid as hell! I'd love to fly one.

  • Definitely my dream airplane

  • The Wilga is still for sale at this time.

  • @76realty huw much is it?

  • Is the wilga still for sale ?

  • Glide approach, not deadstick...dead stick is when the engine is stopped.

  • The only thing that sounds better than a radial engine running is when its starting up! LOVE that sound.

  • Dude. You should try a Kitfox or Highlander. That thing sounds like a 1960 pickup truck carrying a load of nuts and bolts over a rough road.

  • in soviet russia, plane fly youuuu!!!!

  • @ARR016a Poland you muppet! ;)

  • nice flying bro

  • Thank you for your comment. I would love to come to visit the Polish Aero Club.

  • What there is extreme? Come to any of the Polish Aero Club you will see how extremely can fly Wilga. ;)

  • Love the rotary sound. Very similar to the DeHaviland Otter, which is a common site here in British Columbia

  • Whats the cruise speed of this thing? 80kts?

  • Yes, about 85kts.

  • STill for sale?

  • Yes, It is still for sale as of October 13, 2009, asking $39,900.

  • nice!!!
