i happen to be apart of that night fire: yes safety is important: but we do not use anything more than what people who set off fireworks use: so what if we are having a little fun? we have not had any kind of accident in 35 years of re enacting: thanks for your concern:

This video came up as one of those "videos you may be interested" selection...I'm a bit concerned that there appears to be other substances mixed in with the gunpowder to give the flames a variety of colors. What about the old safety of gunpowder only? You don't need fancy additives to impress a crowd because a cannon firing at night is all ready pretty impressive.

hey i live like less then a mile from that reanactment and i can hear the gunshots! lol
