  • Ivan and Byron are still ignorant LOL! God bless you brothers!!!! (Kevin Boone group foundation back in the day)

  • Byron's nasty behind the kit as well!!!

  • This video makes me smile :)

  • Muito Bom - Pedrinho Brasil

  • lame pastiche of 'beat it'

  • Great playing from all of them, but they seem a little too.... happy.

lol I know how it is. Its so much fun to play with others, but man.... they like to smile.... ALOT. But again, a great trio of musicians here.

  • This MUST be a joke!!! Those dudes are HIGH!

  • i've been wondering why guys use the wrist bands on the neck?

  • @clintonious They use the wrist bands or hair scrunchies on the neck to limit fret noises coming from the string. This causes the string to sound much more cleaner when plucked. Using wrist bands are good for things like tapping and slugging because they are two styles that require a very clean sound.

  • What's that thing on the nut? A mute?

  • I'm from Brazil and would like to adiquirir this dvd! by chance would be possible with Portuguese subtitles! Thank you.

  • what kind of yamaha keyboard do he got rite der .

  • That bass looks crazy! =D

I rly like your style guys :D

  • I just got married a month ago and I am having trouble with my wedding band beating the neck on riffs like this...any advice? Taking it off while playing at church is out of the question.

  • are they high?

  • @cuntanimation yes =D

  • i like their style :D

  • Nice. I have a jazz/ funk trio and I'm thinking about going with just piano/vocal and congas. What do you think?

  • this sounds like a rendition of MJ's Billie Jean ^_^ nice

  • this is so sickkkkkkkkkkk even

this example is so sick because it tells me ME how awsome music u can do with 3 or 4 chords only and how many tones u can play for one chord this is really nice and the drum player has also nice smooth skills i would love to have the full version of this video

  • I LOVE IT!!

  • aren't these the dudes from the "Tri-Tones" gospel video? Awesome stuff. God Bless

  • Wow you guys are awesome! You inspired me to start learning bass. I play electric guitar at the moment but I've realized bass could be more of my thing! I'm only 14 and from the UK but i love 1970's and 1980's jazz funk and i think you guys are great.

Just shows you have such a wide audience. Keep it up because it's awesome!

  • that ex5 is still a hot keyboard i luv to see people show that they are having fun and feeding off each other when they play together

  • Ivan you never cease to amaze me... You rock!! whenever you don't want that bass, send it to me!!! hahahahahahaha

  • When does this DVD come out?

    I want it now!

  • Hold your horses! We are close! It will come out in about a week. It's close :)

  • Where would I be able to purchase it?

Like could I buy it at Long & McQuade or only from your site?

  • It'll only be available on our website: Strore (dot) GospelMusicians (dot) Com

    -Jon

  • seconds 42 to 46 good chromatic walkdown

  • ya'll havin fun !!! lol its people like ya'll that keep me playing music. :)

  • Can't wait till this DVD come out. Jamal appreciate the time you spent to give us bass players a little. God Bless

  • Yo Jamal I would like to see you play contemporary style on the piano, just wondering.

  • Don't understand...what do you mean by contemporary? Every single one of my DVDs is "contemporary" Do you mean traditional? I have traditional as well....Give me an artist or style of music do you mean by contemporary?

  • You know, like playing a song without using any tritones or voicings or nothing special, a song like "I am a friend of God".. I know it's kinda hard for gospel players cuz their not used to playing the ordinary way lol.

  • Yea...That's the Urban Worship Play by Ear. But to be honest, there is no need to make a DVD on those type of chords, because they are pretty easy...Major, Minor, and one diminished. I never saw a need to do a CCM DVD, because it's just basic major and minor chords through the whole song.

  • True true. Just curious as to how you would play a song like that, that's all!

  • When is the video due for release?

  • That drummer is WAAAAAYYYY too excited about whats going on in this video. lol Hilarious

  • Its called being happy when you play music dick, you should try it sometime...oh I forgot you don't know how to play an instrument

  • Comment removed

  • was that reply really necessary?

Dude was just sating a observation... and he`s right... drummer is very excited.. and that`s funny and good!!

  • lol whats even more funny than my homeboy's expression is that you're talking like you know me. haha I actually play four different instruments, hence why I'm even looking at these videos. But really like GRACEtoHOPE said, what that even necessary to say? And I mean, we're lookin at videos on the GospelMusicians page. We make our music for Jesus. Try a lil bit of Him out I'm sure you'll like it.

  • haha at 1:00 its awesome
