Bucks great. Gotta a question here. This songs either about getting tangled up with a crazy chick, or finding your addicted to coke or speed.........anybody know for sure? good song either way.
Jerry Wiggins on drums joined the band around December of 1967, and Tom Brumley left the band around January of 1969. I'm guessing this was filmed in 1968.
@bruckner1 Buck & the Buckaroos were Fender endorsers. They were given the newest amps to promote them as soon as they were available. I will grant that the Showman amp was one of the last to get the silver face, but, they were all silver face by mid 68. The point is, this was originally aired at the Bakersfield TV station prior to it being shown on From Nashville With Music.
@nachodaddy Interesting theory... but the fact is everything in "From Nashville with Music" (including this scene) was filmed in 1968. They simply used the Bakersfield TV studio as a set for the movie.
@Gatorrock787 I didn't disagree that this could've been filmed up until mid-68, I am saying it was filmed in Bakersfield & shown on their TV station prior to it being shown in Trashville in 69.
Well, this is either from a TV show or a movie. The guy in the cap on the sidelines is Leo G. Carroll. The little dancin' ethnic guy was an actor, too, can't remember his name. The Fender amps are still black-face, so this is either from 65(when the song was done), or, at the latest, 66. And, lastly, ain't it good to see Don Rich?
That's quite the dance at the start!

@nuthousegaurd Not at all. This is a fun song they wrote because of Esso gas stations. Buck isn't singing about a woman or drug addictions.
