I've been feeling this song even before I knew what she was singing about (I was kid). My dad had the "Band of Gold" album and i would just stare at the cover and how beautiful Freda was. I also love "I Shall Not Be Moved" from the same album (I think).
Yeah,This song is a likable production without even knowing its meaning! I agree!Read my reply under vincent50 to see how I feel about it.This song totally rocks!
I see you got a feel for this like myself!"Love On Borrowed Time"is a genuinely positive mood-swaying record, especially because of the way Freda sings it!She practically makes cheating seem childishly innocent with her vocal style here. Now Freda can't make infidelity morally more than what it really is,but she carries this song in such a fun and charming context of skillful and spirited vocal resonance which makes it enjoyable. Thanks for your response!
Freda was my pin up girl in the early 70s. Between Freda and my Supremes at that time I was swarmed around soulful beauty. Invictus Records was the right company for Freda. I love the combination between the writers and Freda. Love this song.
Every once and a while,I would hear a foreign language music song that I adore and not have a hint what the lyrics mean.If I was a foreigner and didn't even understand the lyrics in"Love On Borrowed Time"I do believe I'd still love it just on the sweet, sexy and smooth way Freda Payne carries this song with the background music being an added bonus. That's a artistry at its finest and testament to Freda's superior vocal talent!A pin-up girl for sure, and The Supremes posters?Naturally! Thanks too!
You're welcome! My fan-ship for Freda began with a 45rpm record my mom bought.I couldn't get enough of her voice!A friend of the family borrowed it,only never to return it.Later while in the service,I was at a USO for liberty when I had a chance to hear more of her music. That became the fully confirmed time of my dedication as a fan for her music. Each visit to the USO was either Freda tapes via stereo headphones or Ping-Pong!Her sound sets me on high mental state!I may be a top 5 fan!Thank you!
Hey!She's my Little Princess total-package!She has it all:voice, beauty, classy;just the total star! She's got such range and versatility in her music that made me a fan way back.I'm glad you like the clip and appreciate your comment!
