what do you get from logic pro ..d o you get all the loops and interments or do you have to get the studio version?

i mean the one you buy on apple store the cheaper one doe that have the many instruments and loops or only in the studio version?

I have placed tracks for MTV, Mr. Rooney's Barbershop, Dipse. caught the ears and interest of some execs.. NONE OF THEM ASKED FOR MASTERS TO REMIX.  from day ONE ALL OF MY MUSIC WAS CREATED IN LOGIC. the only outboard gear i use is the AVALON 737 SP to push kicks, snares, hats thru to get a good quality tone. I had the MPC, but sold it.. the EXS24 sampler rocks. I have the Korg Triton, but no longer use its sounds, I just use it for a MIDI controller.

I have a question. In all the programs i've been trying to get into I find that in all of them you have to switch between a pencil. eraser and editor to accuratly write your midi notes in piano roll. do you have to do this in logic?

You can have pencil tool by default. Logic has drop down menu to select other tools eraser etc.

I went from FL Studio 9 to Logic Pro 9 and at first I thought "I kinda miss FL studio, the layout and how everything is" But now I haven't opened FL Studio for about 3 months!

Logic is the best!

@TheZetReviewer Interesting, I use both too, On material that others are "paying" for, where I am the engineering. I use logic, because It's quick, it's easy for clients to follow along and it's stable. Not the least of reasons though is their material is less midicentric and more likely to be audio based and that's where logic shines . On my own material where i am creating @the same time I'm recording I use FL studio, Its much easier for me to be creative within its confines than Logic.

0.46 the rack unit at left side lower corner of the window is a behgringer a500 amplifier which is the cheapest of the whole lot (see those speaker s they are trusting this amp upon) .....this is a proof of picking a gear for the sound and truth it reveals not for flattering brand names I got the amp and it is awesome on my ns10s

I must get a MACCCCCCCCC i have windows vista with FL studio 9.1...And fls tudio is starting to suck more and more as I get better and I feel limited, Not to mention it can't handle all the vst effects and audio tracks I use...My goal is a mac book air and Logic or pro tools....

@utprizzo dont get a macbook air. those are pretty much useless for us. it does not have a CD/DVD-rom and no firewire! the largest SSD that they have is only 128gigs! a desktop would be ideal or get a macbook pro.

@utprizzo If you're serious about making music, then I wouldn't go for a Macbook air, at least invest some thousand dollar more and buy a Macbook Pro as it really enhances the things you could do. It would be a shame to buy everything to find out that the Macbook Air is limiting your needs right ;) ?

So go for Macbook Pro or Mac Pro, Imac is pretty good as well. Cheers bud !

i too use logic and absolutely love it.......but is it the best?...... i work at a music store and all day everyone argues which program is better. logic, protools, ableton, cubase, cakewalk and the list goes on. I'm so tired of it. they all do the same thing with their own style. just pick a stupid program and learn it inside and out, and that will be the best program for you.
