Lovely car.. I had one very similar, and miss it. I always thought the Sud Sprint was better looking than the bigger Alfetta GTV - just more finely balanced, less dumpy. Anyway, great car.
love it. my father had one, only 1.3 but with 2 double carbouraters... my father's had the disk brakes near the gear box... alfa's engeniers said it was best, because of suspended weight in the suspension... it had the Clover in the side rear panel.... than it died of rust
the thing i remember well was one time my father took it all the way and the needle in the KM/h gauge went arround passsing the 200km/h mark reaching the 20... lol, loved it
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Alfa Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and EFi injectors clean as new!
Hey Roger. Do you have some pictures of it on a internet board or forum? Would really like to see some more of that Alfa! My Alfa Sprint QV is still in bits and pieces getting rust done in the bottom!
i had one and put 44,000mls on it in 4 years and it only let me down twice once dead battery and the other was my fault as i bent a couple of valves over evving it, looked forward to getting in it every time!!!!
I had a car like that in the mid eighties. Great chassis and road manners is what I recollect fondly, but the reliability factor is something I'd rather forget. But I still miss that little Alfa...
this is the one with a boxer engine?

It's really strange. Backing up the alfa seem so dramatic. Now go do that to a BMW and you will feel nothing....
