@ALSPEHEIR They have a sort of 6 barreled Vulcan cannon that is gas operated, but it spit about 10000 rounds/min !!! It way too overkill and the recoil is massive.

@somejarhead Marines keep using the Super Cobra because it's cheaper to upgrade the existing system than to purchase, equip, train and field a brand new weapons platform. The Cobra fills the role just fine for them, but US Army has always loved brand new toys more.

@somejarhead Yeah I love how that thing looks. The Army uses Chinook copters which have similar performance and range, but I'm uncertain which was built first and the decisions involved. I knew a crew chief on a Chinook he told me during Desert Storm, they landed and loaded a abandoned new Mercedes Benz onboard.

@bulgogi1212 i believe both were made during the vietnam war but i think the chinook came first but the one flaw the chinook has is it can only go as far as the fuel tank will allow it that is no problem for the ch 53 and that is awsome that story of the mercedes benz i heard the chinook can half submerge its self in water and allow for extraction of seal teams and marsoc teams and that kinda stuff
