What I find amazing and disgusting isnt the fact that Pontiac is dead.. Its the way slick assholes like this try to pass it off as a GOOD thing... Wow.. grats.. now your Pontiac is a collectors item. From behind lying whitened teeth. How do they have the balls to even say this without getting embarrassed. There is no denying the fact that if Pontiacs at any point in time were quality cars... they wouldnt have died.
Unless you have $1,000,000 in the bank it's never a good idea to buy a new car. New cars lose over 60% of their value in the first 4 years. An '09 model would have to have serious discounts to account for that drop.
Just because they're discontinued doesn't mean they'll drop much in price. Every dealer selling Pontiacs also sells other cars and doesn't have to deeply discount to move them.
So, the short answer is no, don't buy an '09 Pontiac.

is it a good idea to buy a brand new pontiac now that it is discontinued. will the price for thier '09 models be significantly drope?

I love G6's...drove them as a rental. Thanks for the thoughts. I'm looking forward to buying a USED G6 someday.
